Chapter 113: The Final Trial

681 Words
The temple trembled violently as the Blood King’s power spread across the chamber. Crimson energy poured from his body like dark fire, staining the ancient silver runes on the floor. The once peaceful glow of moonlight struggled against the rising blood aura. Kael immediately stepped forward. His golden Lycan energy flared brightly as he placed himself between Aria and the Blood King. “You will not touch her.” The Blood King chuckled softly. “You are brave, Lycan King.” His crimson eyes flickered with amusement. “But bravery alone cannot stop destiny.” Darius stretched his shoulders and sighed. “Why does every villain love the word destiny?” Roran lifted his sword again. “Focus.” The Blood King slowly stepped down from the black crystal throne. Each step echoed through the massive chamber. “You’ve already passed the Moon’s trials,” he said calmly. “But this temple was never meant to judge you alone.” He stopped a few feet away from the glowing platform. “This is where the Moon and Blood decide the future.” Aria frowned. “What does that mean?” The Blood King looked directly at her. “It means you must choose your true path.” Suddenly, the crimson energy around him surged. Dark shadows filled the chamber. The temple walls began projecting strange visions across their ancient surfaces. Aria gasped as she saw the images forming. Cities burning. Kingdoms collapsing. Monsters destroying villages. The Blood Moon rising above the world. The Blood King’s voice echoed through the chamber. “This is the future without strength.” The images changed. Now Aria saw herself standing beside him. Both of them crowned with immense power. Their armies stretching across the land. The world kneeling before them. “Together,” he said softly, “we could control everything.” Kael growled loudly. “You’re trying to manipulate her.” The Blood King barely glanced at him. “I’m offering her the truth.” He raised one hand. A powerful wave of crimson energy pushed Kael, Roran, and Darius backward. They struggled to move forward again. But the temple itself held them in place. The Blood King’s eyes never left Aria. “You saw the vision earlier.” His voice dropped. “The future where your power destroys the world.” Aria’s heart pounded. “Yes.” He nodded. “That future happens because you are alone.” The crimson aura around him pulsed. “But with me…” The vision shifted again. This time Aria saw herself standing on a throne beside him. The world peaceful. Creatures and humans united under one rule. “No more wars,” he whispered. “No more chaos.” Aria hesitated. The vision looked peaceful. Tempting. But then she noticed something. The people in the vision looked afraid. Their heads bowed. Not in respect. But in fear. Aria slowly shook her head. “That’s not peace.” The Blood King’s smile faded slightly. “What do you mean?” “That world isn’t free.” Her silver aura began glowing brighter. “They’re obeying you because they’re terrified.” Kael managed to push forward through the temple’s pressure. “That’s my queen.” The Blood King’s crimson eyes darkened. “You misunderstand power.” Aria stepped forward. “No.” Her voice became stronger. “You do.” The silver mark on her arm burned brightly again. “The Moon doesn’t rule through fear.” The temple began glowing again as her energy spread across the chamber. The Blood King watched her carefully. “So that is your answer?” Aria lifted her glowing hand. “My answer is no.” The silver light burst outward. Breaking the crimson energy holding Kael and the others. Kael instantly rushed forward. His claws glowing with golden power. The Blood King’s smile slowly returned. “Good.” His crimson aura exploded violently. “I was hoping you’d say that.” The temple shook as their powers collided. Silver. Gold. And Blood. The final battle inside the temple had begun.
