Chapter 87: Awakening of the True Alpha

636 Words
The sky trembled under the pressure of Dravoryx’s final transformation. Dark flames roared around the Devourer’s massive body as he hovered in the air like a living storm. His glowing red eyes burned with pure hatred, and the energy radiating from him distorted the clouds around the battlefield. “You cannot defeat me!” Dravoryx roared. The sound rolled across the heavens like thunder. With another violent surge of power, the Devourer rushed forward again. His claws tore through the sky as he aimed directly for Kael. BOOOOOOM! Their powers collided again in a devastating explosion of force. Kael was pushed backward through the clouds, his body straining under the sheer strength of the attack. But this time— Something inside him had begun to change. Golden light pulsed beneath his black fur. The ancient Alpha markings along his body burned brighter than ever before, glowing like living fire. Aria saw it immediately. “Kael!” The energy surrounding him was different now. Stronger. Older. It felt like something deep within his blood had awakened. Dravoryx noticed it too. The Devourer’s eyes narrowed slightly. “What is this?” Kael slowly lifted his head. His golden eyes glowed intensely, brighter than the lightning still crackling through the clouds. “I can feel it,” he murmured. A deep vibration spread through his body, like the heartbeat of something ancient stirring within him. Memories not his own flickered across his mind. Visions of ancient Alpha Kings. The first Lycans. Warriors standing beneath the full moon centuries ago. Their power. Their legacy. Their strength. It all flowed through him. Aria watched as the golden aura around Kael expanded outward like a rising sun. Moonlight instinctively responded to it, swirling gently around the Alpha King. Her voice became soft with realization. “The True Alpha…” Dravoryx’s expression twisted with sudden anger. “No.” He shook his massive head violently. “That power should no longer exist!” Kael slowly stood straighter in the air. The golden light around him flared brighter. “You were wrong about many things,” he said calmly. The Alpha King’s voice carried a new weight now. Stronger. Unshakable. Dravoryx snarled and lunged forward again. “I will crush you before it awakens!” But Kael didn’t move. Not until the last second. Then— He disappeared. Dravoryx’s claws slashed through empty air. “What?!” In the next instant— Kael reappeared behind him. His speed had increased dramatically. Golden energy exploded from his claws as he struck. CRAAAAASH! The impact slammed into Dravoryx’s side with incredible force. For the first time in the battle— The Devourer was thrown backward. His massive body crashed through a wall of clouds as shockwaves rippled across the sky. Dravoryx roared in disbelief. “That power…” Kael hovered in the air calmly. The golden aura around him pulsed steadily. It no longer flickered like before. Now it felt controlled. Focused. Alive. Aria floated nearby, her silver aura glowing proudly beside him. “You did it,” she whispered. Kael glanced at her briefly. “It’s not just me.” Their powers continued to resonate with each other. Moonlight and Alpha energy swirling together in perfect harmony. Below them, Darius watched with a faint smile. “Well,” he muttered. “That certainly complicates things.” High above the battlefield, Dravoryx slowly recovered from the strike. But now his expression had changed. The arrogance was gone. Replaced by something far darker. Fear. The Devourer spread his wings again, snarling with fury. “You think this changes anything?” His crimson energy flared violently once more. “I will still tear you apart!” Kael’s golden eyes locked onto him calmly. “Try.” The final battle between the True Alpha and the Devourer had begun.
