Chapter 117: The Moon Queen Awakens

814 Words
The temple exploded with silver light. Moon energy flooded every corner of the ancient chamber, pouring down from the cracked ceiling like a waterfall of glowing stars. At the center of it all stood Aria. Her body hovered slightly above the temple floor as the Moon’s power wrapped around her like a radiant crown. Her silver hair floated gently in the glowing energy. Her eyes burned with brilliant moonlight. For a moment, the entire temple fell silent. Even the Blood King stopped moving. His crimson eyes widened slightly. “No…” His voice echoed across the chamber. “This power…” Kael slowly stood up from the broken stone floor. He stared at Aria in awe. “She did it…” Darius blinked several times. “Well… I guess the Moon’s Daughter just became the Moon Queen.” Roran lowered his sword slightly, stunned by the sight. Aria slowly opened her glowing eyes. The Moon’s power flowed through her with perfect balance now. No chaos. No destruction. Only calm strength. The temple voice echoed for the final time. “The Moon Queen has awakened.” A wave of silver energy spread across the chamber like a calm tide. The cracks in the temple walls began repairing themselves. The fallen stones lifted slightly before settling gently back into place. Even the darkness that had filled the temple began fading. But the Blood King was not finished. His crimson aura flared violently again. His shadow wings spread wide as he roared with fury. “No!” The temple shook again under his power. “I will not lose to the Moon!” He charged forward with terrifying speed. Crimson energy exploded around his claws as he lunged directly at Aria. But Aria didn’t move. She simply raised one glowing hand. The moment the Blood King reached her— The silver aura expanded. The Moon’s power stopped him mid-air. His claws froze inches away from her. The Blood King struggled violently. “What… is this?” Aria’s voice echoed softly through the chamber. “The balance of the Moon.” Her silver energy wrapped around him like chains of light. The Blood King roared and unleashed another massive burst of blood power. The temple shook again as crimson energy pushed against the silver chains. For a moment, the two forces struggled equally. Blood. And Moon. Then Kael stepped forward. His golden Lycan aura ignited again. “Aria!” She glanced at him. He nodded firmly. “Together.” Aria understood immediately. She raised her other hand. Silver light surged again. Kael lunged forward at the same time. His golden claws struck the Blood King directly in the chest. The impact shattered part of the crimson armor. The Blood King roared in pain for the first time. Aria’s moonlight chains tightened around him. The silver energy pierced through the cracks in his armor. The Blood King struggled desperately. “You think this ends here?!” His voice thundered across the temple. “Blood never dies!” Aria stepped closer. Her glowing eyes calm and steady. “No.” Her voice was gentle but powerful. “But it can be purified.” She raised both hands. The Moon’s power burst outward like a rising tide. Silver light flooded the chamber. The crimson energy surrounding the Blood King began fading. Slowly. Painfully. The dark power burned away under the Moon’s light. The Blood King screamed as the silver energy consumed his armor. Cracks spread across his crimson wings. His strength began failing. Finally— The silver light exploded one final time. The Blood King collapsed to his knees. His wings vanished. His crimson aura faded into faint sparks. The temple became quiet again. The battle was over. Kael walked slowly toward Aria. His golden aura faded as well. “You saved the temple.” Aria looked down at the defeated Blood King. Her silver light slowly softened. “But this isn’t the end.” The Blood King lifted his head weakly. A faint smile appeared on his face. “You’re right…” His voice was barely a whisper now. “This is only the beginning.” The chamber suddenly grew colder. Darius frowned. “Why do villains always say that?” But the Blood King laughed softly. “Because the true war…” His crimson eyes flickered once more. “…hasn’t even started.” His body suddenly dissolved into dark red mist. Vanishing into the shadows of the temple. Roran looked around carefully. “He escaped.” Kael frowned. “Yes.” Aria stared at the place where he disappeared. Her silver aura slowly faded. “But now we know who our enemy really is.” Above them, the clouds outside began clearing. The Blood Moon slowly faded from the sky. But far away in the darkness— The Blood King’s laughter echoed faintly. And the real war was coming.
