The red glow of the Blood Moon spread across the sky like a warning from the heavens.
On the castle walls, every warrior stood frozen as the monstrous creatures circled above the kingdom.
Their wings were enormous.
Each flap sent powerful winds crashing through the valley below.
The soldiers tightened their grip on their weapons, fear slowly spreading through the ranks.
One of the younger warriors whispered nervously.
“Commander… how are we supposed to fight something like that?”
Commander Roran’s eyes never left the sky.
“We fight,” he said firmly.
“Or we die.”
Above them, the creatures screeched as they circled the castle.
Their glowing red eyes watched the kingdom like predators studying their prey.
Then suddenly—
One of them dove.
The enormous creature folded its wings and plunged toward the ground like a falling star.
“INCOMING!” a soldier shouted.
The beast crashed into the outer forest surrounding the kingdom.
Trees exploded into splinters as the monster landed with terrifying force.
Villagers screamed as the creature rose from the crater it had created.
Its massive body towered above the forest, its glowing eyes scanning the nearby village.
Inside the castle, alarms began ringing.
Kael stepped forward on the balcony, his golden aura already burning around him.
“It has begun,” he said quietly.
Aria stood beside him, her silver eyes reflecting the red light of the moon.
She could feel the creature’s presence clearly now.
It felt ancient.
Powerful.
And full of rage.
“It’s attacking the villages,” she said.
Kael’s expression darkened.
“Then we stop it before it reaches the castle.”
Darius appeared beside them, stretching his arms casually.
“Well,” he said with a grin.
“I was starting to get bored anyway.”
Kael turned toward Roran below.
“Prepare the warriors,” he commanded.
“We move out now.”
Moments later, the castle gates opened.
Hundreds of warriors rushed out into the night, their armor glinting under the Blood Moon.
Kael walked at the front of the army.
His golden power burned like a flame in the darkness.
Aria followed beside him, her silver aura beginning to awaken.
In the distance, the monster roared again.
The sound shook the entire valley.
Villagers ran through the streets in terror as the creature approached their homes.
Its enormous claws crushed stone houses like they were made of paper.
Flames spread through the village as buildings collapsed.
Then suddenly—
A powerful golden streak shot across the sky.
Kael leapt high into the air, his Lycan form partially awakening.
His glowing claws slammed into the creature’s chest with incredible force.
The monster roared in fury as it was thrown backward through several trees.
The ground trembled when it landed.
The warriors watching from below cheered.
“The king!” one shouted.
But the creature slowly stood again.
Its glowing eyes focused on Kael with deadly intent.
Then something strange happened.
The beast sniffed the air.
Its gaze slowly shifted… past Kael.
Toward Aria.
The creature suddenly froze.
Its massive body trembled.
And then—
It lowered its head slightly.
Almost like it recognized her.
Aria felt a strange pull inside her chest.
The silver mark on her arm began glowing brightly.
“Kael…” she whispered.
“I think it knows me.”
Before Kael could respond—
A second roar echoed from the sky.
Everyone looked up.
Another creature was diving from the clouds.
Then another.
And another.
Kael’s eyes hardened.
“This isn’t just an attack.”
The sky above the kingdom filled with monstrous shadows.
“The war has begun.”
