Chapter 70: The Moon's Chosen

The battlefield had turned into a nightmare. Dark flames burned across the broken ground while the massive shadow of Dravoryx loomed over everyone like a storm. His monstrous new form radiated terrifying power. Every step he took made the earth tremble. Kael stood in front of Aria, breathing heavily. Blood ran down his arm from the earlier strike. But his golden eyes still burned with fierce determination. “We’re not finished,” he growled. Dravoryx laughed, a deep and mocking sound. “You still believe you can stop me?” His massive wings spread wide, blocking out the sky. “This kingdom will fall.” Aria felt a chill run down her spine. The Devourer slowly raised his claws again. Dark fire began gathering around them. The air felt heavy and suffocating. Darius stood a few steps away, watching carefully. Even his confident expression had turned serious. “If that attack lands,” he muttered, “half the battlefield will disappear.” Aria clenched her fists. There has to be a way. Her crescent-shaped mark began glowing faintly. But it wasn’t enough. Dravoryx lifted both claws high into the air. “Witness true destruction!” The dark fire grew larger. The ground cracked beneath the pressure. Kael turned toward Aria quickly. “You need to get back.” “No!” she protested. “You’re already injured!” Kael gave her a faint smile. “I’m the Alpha King.” His eyes burned with determination. “My duty is to protect my people… and you.” Before Aria could respond— Kael shifted again. His wolf form grew even larger. His black fur bristled with raw power. With a powerful roar, he leaped toward the Devourer. “Face me!” Dravoryx sneered. “Foolish creature.” The monster swung his claw. CRASH! The two titanic forces collided in midair. Shockwaves tore across the battlefield. Kael managed to s***h across the Devourer’s chest. But Dravoryx struck back with brutal strength. BOOM! Kael was thrown violently to the ground. Aria gasped. “Kael!” She ran toward him. Kael struggled to stand again, but this time his body trembled. The Devourer slowly approached them. “You fought well,” Dravoryx said coldly. “But this war is over.” He raised one massive claw. Dark fire gathered again. Aria felt tears burning in her eyes. No… Her crescent mark suddenly burned hot. Pain shot through her chest. The ground beneath her feet began glowing with silver light. Darius turned in surprise. “What is that?” Aria fell to her knees. The mark on her skin shone brighter and brighter. A soft voice echoed inside her mind. “You are not alone.” Aria’s eyes widened. “Who…?” The voice felt ancient. Gentle. Powerful. “I am the Moon that watches over your world.” Silver light began rising around her like glowing mist. Her hair slowly lifted in the air. Kael looked back in shock. “Aria…?” Dravoryx frowned. “What is this?” The silver light grew brighter. Aria slowly stood up. Her eyes glowed like moonlight. “I won’t let you destroy everything.” Her voice sounded different now. Stronger. Calmer. The moonlight exploded outward. BOOOOOOM! A wave of silver energy swept across the battlefield. Every warrior turned in awe. Because in that moment— The true power of the Moon’s Chosen had finally awakened. And Dravoryx had just created a far more dangerous enemy.
