Alpha Ryan's POV
“This is the place, Alpha,”
The guard announced as we neared a rushing river.
My eyes roamed the forest around me with scrutiny.
There was a narrow path along the riverside as he had stated, which I followed immediately.
After a long trek, we reached the other side of the path, into a denser forest which I could see was not a part of my pack land territory.
When the guard had told me about the path earlier, I did not know what to believe, and I had expected him to be wrong or hoped that there was a misunderstanding.
But now, I could see it clear as day that there was a secret path that led in and out of the territory.
What was worse was that it was not even guarded, and so anybody could have easy access into my pack land.
I turned my gaze to the silent guard wit
