While the rest checked the other gifts, Drey stepped inside to have a quick nap. He was very sleepy and tired, and that was because he didn't even sleep the night before.
When Ann and Liam walked inside, Tina turned to her husband.
“I still think we should try to change Mum's mind. I sincerely don't think we can survive on our own.”
James sighed. “I don't think that is possible. Don't you know who Mum is? She has never gone back on her words. She's always so stubborn. She's the one Betty took after.”
Tina sighed with dejection. “I can't believe my dress is gone like that. And I seriously thought I would wear it on our anniversary.”
James smiled softly. “It's ok. When I sell some of these, I will keep some money for you so you can at least get yourself a nice dress.”
