17 HOME AGAINAfter they had recovered from the flight, they had the rest of the day off, but they also wanted to bring Emma’s parents up to speed with the events of the last few days. Emma had phoned and been phoned by her parents every day since they had left the UK, but she hadn’t told them about the mugging for fear of worrying them unduly. She hadn’t got around to describing their last concerts at the Pride of Wales or the hotel either, the latter being a commitment that they had honoured despite preferring to stay at the Quakers with their new management. They were able to show Jim and Sally the footage they had taken and the write-up that Mary had given them in the Echo for Saturday night.
