Rei Stein a 17 year-old in his last year of school has survived most of his younger years staying under the radar, and only speaking when spoken too. Rei since birth has suffered from an unexplainable issue it would seem that whenever he tells the truth the opposite of that truth happens in reality. For example if Rei says he got an F on a test suddenly he will have an A. The problem with this is that typically this ability leads him into more trouble than it is worth, and is a constant reminder that words have real and powerful consequences for Rei. In addition to having his own issues it seems that more people around Rei are showing signs of some weird powers of their own. Rei is thrust into a world beyond his understanding, and unfortunately not everyone wants to remain under the radar with their new found power.

Chapter 1: Wall
Imagine if you had ungodly power the power to change anything you wanted that person would truly be on top of the world. Power, Money, and fame anything that person wanted could be granted that person would truly have the world in their hands. This person doesn't exist, and he is certainly not me I lived my life hiding making sure to build a wall between me, and anyone close to myself. My words have real power I can make any truth I state into a cold harsh reality one that is something akin to fantasy. My power works in a rather simple way anything I say becomes the opposite of the truth I state out loud, so if I say I am alive I will instead die, or if I say I got an A on my test it will become an F. The curse that presents itself is that it has to be a truth if it was as simple as the lies I state become the truth I would be a god. The power I posses is not even close to that since I have to tell the truth in order to have the reverse happen this leaves my options limited. I cant for example say I'm poor, and suddenly become rich because it isn't the truth, but even if I became poor I still wouldn't do that since the government would probably just arrest me.  This power is incredibly inconvenient sure it has some benefits like I could become essentially immortal if I wanted by stating I'm mortal, or say I am weak to become strong, but anything in the middle cant be changed. The point is anything in the middle is impossible to change since there is no opposite if I have average intelligence I cannot suddenly change that cause there is no opposite. The worst part is I have to watch what I say if I get careless, and tell someone they talk a lot they will likely never talk again. I have to never get careless if I carelessly say something like, "Wow the weather is so nice today." The weather will change, and major storms will cause mass destruction all around town. I have learned from experience that it is better if I just don't say a word that is the key to keeping myself, and others safe. I have also learned from experience that anything that I myself make the rules of what the opposite is. For example if I see a dog, and state, "The animal is a dog." The reason the dog would change into a cat is because I must internally associate cats as the opposite to dogs. I realized this fact early on because logically it is impossible to determine the opposite of some things, so it would seem I decide what is the opposite in all cases. Zero has seemingly no opposite, but if I subconsciously determine 0 is the opposite of 1 reality with change to fit this new fact. Walking along the road I cant help but think how an outsider would think I was crazy for not using my power to get what I want. I would say that outsider was just an idealist there would be no point in living if I could just get whatever I wanted all the time. I mentioned before, but this power is also incredibly inconvenient sure in the right hands its seemingly invincible despite this human error makes this power very volatile. Human error turns this godly power into a roulette wheel, and its user often suffers the consequences. I stop at the bus stop, and let out a sigh I mutter, "Ah damn I missed the bus." My point is proven almost instantly as I let my stupid mouth loose onto the world I must now deal with any consequences. I hear a loud roar in the distance the bus seemingly coming from the oncoming side of the road slams to a roaring halt in front of the stop sign. In a world where there were cars going the other way that could of been a disaster, or so I would have said if not of the fact that my power makes it so I have to get on the bus. The bus driver opens the doors to the bus, and nonchalantly says "Hey Rei what are you doing standing there with that stupid look get on."  One looking from an outside perspective would probably wonder why nobody was disturbed by the absolutely insane actions taken by the bus driver. Since I have had this power since I was a baby I can tell you the power only has an effect on the "truth" that means everything else remains unaffected. Reality is only concerned with bending around my truth, and seemingly everything else is unaffected even memories. To the driver he only picked up students as usual I was at the stop the entire time, and yes even time is altered if I was supposed to be picked up at 8:00, but I arrive at 8:04 the time will change back to 8:00 when I was supposed to board. I have gotten used to the minor details, and head to my usual spot in the back of the bus. I plan on sleeping until I arrive at school, but as usual like most mornings I am interrupted. I don't have any friends, but I do have some enemies since I ignore most people due to my problem people don't exactly like me. Ren Magnus is the type of person I would rather not deal with since she can't seem to ignore me. I have had bullies in the past since I was different from the other students, and didnt have friends, but unlike them Ren has lasted all of high school. Ren in case you were wondering has been held back a couple grades, gets into actual physical fights with other students, and I would assume knows martial arts of some kind. She is tall about 6 feet, has black hair to go with her black clothes, and is pretty muscular in all honesty. I hear all kinds of rumors about her floating around that her father owns a famous fighting club, that she smokes off and on campus, and that her family is into some shady stuff. The only thing we share is our black hair everything else we are opposites having no friends means I typically read, and study a lot. I have above average grades, I am pretty scrawny, and think of myself as a pretty normal guy other than the powers. Ren turns to face me she says a bit too loud, "Ah Rei just the guy I wanted to see." She flashes me a smile, "Hey I am a bit strapped for cash this week how about you help me out again as usual."  I sigh reach into my wallet as per usual, and pull out 10 dollars handing it to Ren who already has her hand ready. She says cheerily, "Hey thanks Grey, and this time I wont even take your lunch since I'm in a good mood." Her stupid insult is a rhyme based off my name Rei its what she always calls me since I always look so gloomy. Ren turns around seems like she isn't in full swing today, and after some time has passed we arrive at the school. I walk off the bus, and make my way to my first class my mood already shot after seeing Ren since she is absent from school a lot. I go to my first class, and sit down as usual, but unluckily for me once I sit down I notice the class is a bit more talkative in homeroom than usual. The teacher is standing at the board rather than at his seat which is unusual since we haven't even started the morning announcements. After a minute, or so has passed Mr. Parkston speaks up, "Hello students today we have a special announcement we have a new classmate joining us today."  I quickly lose interest I don't particularly care about some random student joining our class, or at least not normally, but right as I have the thought I see who Mr. Parkston is referring to. I hadn't noticed before, but a girl in the front with blond twin tails is sitting in a new spot. Mr. Parkston continues, "The new student joining that will be joining us is Aisha Gold she is not from Florida, but is joining us from Canada." The students got loud again, and Aisha nodded her head seemingly shyly. I could tell the boys in class were getting fired up since she was a very petite girl with long blond twin tails, and a sort of doll like appearance. She seemed sort of frail like a baby deer, but I also felt somewhat uneasy looking at this pale doll like face. I didnt get the impression she was dangerous far from it, but she seemed somewhat closed off I would know since I myself had built a wall around me, and others. The classroom grew quite again, and class seemingly moved on like usual, but the new girl had me curious. I wouldn't pursue my curiosity, but I must say I also couldn't help thinking she had a different feeling than the other students gave off. Thinking from a logical standpoint she was just seemingly a normal girl, but my gut screamed that there was something incredibly off about this girl in front of me, and for the first time in my life I felt goosebumps at the seemingly unknown.
