**CHAPTER 3** WAR TO FEELINGS!

Wright's POV

The next Wednesday, the operation took place. The soldiers were in their army uniform including me. We were ready for war.

The soldiers all entered the airplane as instructed by the director.

The airplane took off and I had to find the specific location. When I found the location, we were already in the Zuda forest.

I was the one in charge of the operation so it was my full duty. After locating their camp, I told the director then he told the soldiers to jump down the plane into the thick forest.

I stayed at the front line so the other soldiers could look at my steps.

We all hid behind the thick leaves when we saw the tall building.

The building was in the center of the Zuda forest. It was a tall old building and the leaves were really surrounded. There were many men watching the building, all were bandits.

" Be careful not to make any sound." I whispered to the soldiers.

" Sir, look at that." A soldier said behind me.

One of the men monitoring the building heard the soldier's voice then shot directly.

I heard the sound of a gun , then pushed the soldier and received the gun into my body.

" Go, go...." I shouted as I fell on the rough ground.

Lazzie saw me then he told the soldiers to move and get to work.

I know I was the one leading, I shouldn't get shot but at the same time I couldn't watch the other soldiers in pain.

Lazzie ran closer to me. Worries written all over his face.

" Friend, I can't leave you here." He said as he bent.

"Go, you have to go." I murmured.

Lazzie was reluctant but he had to go so he went to rescue our men. That was the main reason we were at Zuda forest.

Lazzie shot the opponent and found his way to the building.

It was not hard to save our men. They rescued the men and took them into the airplane.

" Go and carry right, I will do the rest." Mr Bob thundered.

Lazzie ran to me and Mr Bob went to prepare the plane.

I have been in the same spot capturing and killing every opponent.

" We need to go, high boss." Lazzie breathed heavily.

Lazzie and two other soldiers came. The soldiers were watching if there was no more bandit in sight.

" Tell the soldiers to move forward, this place is dangerous." I whispered.

" Get your act together and stop talking now." Lazzie said.

I heard a gun coming towards our direction so I pushed and received the gun in again.

" Wright!" Lazzie yelled in shock.

Lazzie stood up immediately then shot the opponent. He carried me into the airplane with the two soldiers.

After we entered the airplane, the plane took off immediately.

We got back to our country. Lazzie and the director rushed me to the hospital.

I didn't know why Mr Bob had to follow Lazzie to the hospital but that was not what I thought at the moment.

" Please, treat him." Lazzie pleaded.

The doctor who was to treat me was Claire. Claire rushed me to the room with other nurses but when I saw her, I fainted immediately.

" We need to remove the gun shots, bring me all the instruments. Claire said in haste.

The nurses brought the instrument and she performed a surgery on me.

I was her first patient.

Claire POV

The next morning after the surgery was successful, I moved right to the next room.

I was coming out of the room when I saw soldier Lazzie coming towards my direction.

" Good morning, sir.' I greeted politely.

" Good morning, doctor." He said.

" The patient is okay now, he just needs to rest. I smiled as I said.

Soldier Lizzie was not really interested in what I was trying to pass. He was really worried about Wright, the picture of him being in the hospital filled his head.

"Can I see him?" He said with a worried voice.

"Yes, you can." I said without excitation.

" Thank you" he ran to the room.

Wright POV

Lazzie entered the room and sat beside me. His eyes were really not wide open. He was really worried because I was shot instead of him.

After a few minutes of sitting without talking, he began to cry.

" Why are you crying?" I asked as I opened my eyes.

" Wright, you are up?" He said with surprise.

I sat up then nodded to his question. Lazzie immediately hugged me.

" I'm not dead, why are you crying?" I said.

" I've missed you!" Lazzie said as he sat back on the chair.

I smiled for a brief moment processing what I will say next.

" Stop acting like a baby." I muttered.

" You were really shot right, I was scared." Lazzie said sincerely.

" I'm back now, have you forgotten warriors don't cry?" I joked.

" Joking again?" He smiled.

Lazzie touched my body to see if I was really okay before he left the hospital.

" You can go, I'm okay now. I smiled.

Okay, I will see you later, I've got to go. " He said."

Lazzie stood up from the chair then went straight to the military.

After Lazzie left, I stood up from the bed to check my body.

" Those morons really shot me, I hope they are not alive now.

Claire entered the room immediately and was shocked to see me awake.

She walked towards me immediately. She was really shocked I was awake.

" Are you okay, sir?" She asked politely.

I looked up and saw her. I was captured by her beauty, it was nothing I've ever seen.

My heart began to beat faster but I didn't let it show.

In a second I looked into her eyes and it was like she was beautiful.

I could not take my gaze away from her because I was lost.

She finally took away my attention then I sat up.

" Who are you?" I asked.

I didn't know when that word jumped out of my mouth. I really thought she was beautiful.

" I'm Claire. I'm the one to look after you till you recover." She said then a smile escaped her lip.

Her smile was the same as beauty's. My heart wanted to jump out of my chest.

" I've never seen you here." I said gently.

" Yes, I was just posted here." She replied.

" You can go, I'm alright." I said as I wore my shoes.

Claire moved closer to me. I was her first patient so she couldn't let me go immediately.

" But I just finished the surgery this morning, you are not okay." She was worried.

" I am, you can go." I said.

Claire wanted to check my temperature but she slipped and almost fell. I grabbed her from behind.

" Are you okay?" I asked.

She froze and stood up immediately.

" Yes....yes." she stammered.

She wanted to take her drug from the floor but before she did, I already picked it up.

" Are you on medication?" I asked, looking at her.

Her expression changed immediately. She was scared and embarrassed.

" I....." She gasped.

I looked at the drug then gave it back to her.

" Are you always scared?" I asked as I read her expression.

" No...I mean..." She stammered.

" You shouldn't be here." I walked towards her.

" I know, please ....keep this as a secret for me, sir. I didn't mean to be so careless." She said slowly.

I gasped. Why was she here when she knew the rules?

" I'm sorry, sir." She pleaded.

I looked at her eyes. It was all the same as beauty's. Could she be beautiful?

" It was a mistake, I'm really sorry." She continued pleading.

" I will keep it a secret so be rest assured." I stated.

I could see her reaction changed. She was giving the expression of hope.

" You should take care of yourself and avoid fighting." I muttered.

" I....." She pursued.

"I will go now. You can breathe well." I smiled briefly.

I went out of the hospital then to the military that day. I went straight to my room to rest until evening when I got up to take some exercise.

I couldn't help but think about her all day.
