Chapter 27When Jarod walked in the door that night, the house sat quiet. He wasn’t surprised except for the fact that Ty had insisted he’d be awake when Jarod got home. Jarod smiled when he walked into the bedroom and spotted Ty sprawled on the bed with his book lying on his chest. “He tried.”
Jarod got ready for bed, then crawled onto the mattress, put Ty’s book on the night table, then wrapped his arms around Ty. Once in place, it didn’t take Jarod long to fall asleep.

The next morning, instead of hitting SNOOZE, Ty shut off the alarm, kissed Jarod’s lips, then sat up.
“Where you going?” Jarod asked. “Come back here.”
“Quick kiss, then I’m getting up.”
Jarod captured Ty’s lips, loving the sound Ty made. Jarod pulled away when they needed air.
