Chapter 28Two nights later, on the drive to the restaurant to meet Jarod’s brother, Tyler bombarded Jarod with questions about his day. The less time Jarod had to spend with his thoughts, the less time he had to worry. They arrived fifteen minutes early and parked in a spot right in front of the restaurant. Once inside, they said hello to everyone, then sat at a table in the back far corner. Roy, who’d be their server, told Tyler he’d keep the tables around them empty. Tyler was grateful for his friend’s consideration. He hadn’t told anyone the details of why they were there, only that the dinner was important. Jonathan walked into the restaurant right on time.
