At some point during the second movie, Courtney fell asleep, and she awoke to Ethan tracing the lines on her palm.
“Hey, babe. I didn"t want to wake you up, but I have to head home in a bit.” Her heart immediately sank. This was going to be their goodbye. This had been her last night with him, and she had missed part of it.
“I don"t want to go.” Tears filled her eyes, her breath coming quickly.
“I don"t want you to go, either.” He kissed her for a long moment. “Here, walk me to my car,” he suggested, pulling her off the couch. “Vanessa, Luke, I"ll catch you guys later, ok?”
