Aria glanced at him.
He simply nodded.
Lyra continued.
“This temple is the safest place for the MoonBorn while you continue training.”
Darius added quietly,
“The temple itself protects her.”
Torren pointed toward the ceiling where the open circle allowed sunlight to pour in.
“Also, if Vargan somehow manages to climb this mountain without us noticing, the temple will alert you.”
Aria blinked.
“The temple does that?”
Darius nodded.
“The ancient magic within it reacts to threats.”
Aria looked around the massive chamber again.
“So basically the temple is alive.”
“In a way,” Lyra said.
Torren stretched and began walking toward the entrance.
“Well, time to go rally some wolves.”
He stopped beside Kael and clapped him on the shoulder.
“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.”
Kael gave him a flat look.
“That doesn’t narrow it down.”
Torren laughed.
“Exactly.”
Lyra rolled her eyes.
“Focus.”
She turned to Aria one last time.
“You’ve already made incredible progress with your power. Continue practicing the techniques we showed you.”
Aria nodded.
“I will.”
Darius stepped closer and studied her carefully.
“The MoonBorn’s strength comes from balance.”
Aria tilted her head slightly.
“Balance between what?”
“Emotion and control.”
He gestured toward the center platform.
“Too much emotion will make your power unstable. Too much control will weaken it.”
Aria absorbed that quietly.
“Got it.”
