Aria glanced up at the moon shining above them.
“The temple helps too.”
Kael followed her gaze.
“The moon always helps.”
For a moment the room fell quiet again.
Then Aria hopped down from the platform and stretched her arms.
“Alright, teacher.”
Kael smirked.
“I don’t remember applying for that job.”
“Well you’re doing it now.”
He walked a slow circle around her.
“Fine.”
Aria crossed her arms.
“What’s the next lesson?”
Kael tilted his head thoughtfully.
“Control while moving.”
She groaned.
“That sounds harder.”
“It is.”
Aria lifted her hands again.
Silver light appeared instantly.
“Okay… now what?”
Kael pointed toward the far side of the temple.
“Walk.”
She stared at him.
“You’re serious?”
“Very.”
Aria began walking slowly across the stone floor while keeping the silver energy swirling around her hands.
At first it worked.
But halfway across the room the light flickered.
Then it vanished.
Aria stopped.
“Ugh.”
Kael chuckled.
“Again.”
She glared at him.
“You’re enjoying this.”
“Very much.”
Aria lifted her hands again and started walking once more.
This time the light lasted longer.
But as she reached the center of the room it faded again.
She sighed.
“This is annoying.”
