Kael walked for hours. Bleeding. Broken.
He didn't go back to his pack.
He went to the Forbidden Cave. The place our elders said never to go.
Inside, it smelled like rot and old magic.
"Hello, rejected Alpha," a voice purred from the shadows.
She stepped out. A woman. But not a wolf.
Eyes completely black. Skin pale. A crown of bones on her head.
"The Witch of the North," Kael breathed.
"The same," she smiled. "And you want something from me."
"Power," Kael growled. "Enough power to take her back."
"Ah, the Luna." The witch circled him. "The Goddess' favorite."
"Name your price."
The witch stopped in front of him. Put a black-nailed finger under his chin.
"Your soul. And the Luna's firstborn."
Kael hesitated for only a second.
"Done."
She laughed and cut her palm. Black blood dripped onto his chest.
"Then rise, Dark Alpha."
Pain tore through Kael. He screamed.
Bones cracked. Muscles grew. Black veins spread across his skin.
When it stopped, he wasn't just an Alpha anymore.
He was something else.
Meanwhile at Blood Moon...
I woke up screaming. My mark was burning.
Damian held me. "What is it?"
"I saw him," I whispered. "He's not a wolf anymore."
Damian's face went hard. "The witch."
"You know about her?"
"Every Alpha does. She's ancient. And she always wants a price."
That night, the sky turned red.
On the horizon, we saw them.
Kael's army. But they weren't wolves.
They were shadows. With red eyes.
And in front, Kael.
10 feet tall. Black armor. Black sword. And black wings.
He looked at our gates. Then straight at me.
And mouthed one word.
`Mine.`
Damian pulled me behind him.
"The war for real starts now, Luna," he said.
"And this time, it's not just for territory."
"It's for your soul."
