The escape from hell

" Lariyah!!! Hurry up, let's go! "

Shit. I slept in. It's currently 4 in the morning and my father, stepmom and I are trying to attempt an escape from our current pack, The black vipers, before I turn eighteen in three months. I've loved living here. My friends have always been amazing. I was born here and grew up here, but ever since Alpha Dalton took over when his father passed away a little over a year ago, things have been getting worse and worse. He's starting a war he can't finish with 3 of the neighboring packs. Families are starving, the Warriors are dying and he's ordering everyone with a wolf to fight this war that he started all because he thinks he's entitled and everyone should bow down to him since he has the biggest pack in the country, for now, anyways...

My father, Jake Knox, was the top warrior and was dedicated and loyal to the pack up until Alpha Dalton killed his mate and Luna for having a miscarriage due to him constantly cheating on her. The death of their child is what caused his wolf, Dayton, to go mad, but Dalton would never admit it was his fault, so he blamed Sierra and when he killed her for it, Dayton turned on Dalton as well, so now we have a feral alpha trying to bring down everyone for his wrongdoings.

My father decided it was time to escape when Alpha Dalton announced last week that within the year any she-wolf that's eighteen or about to be eighteen has to come stay at the pack house so he can choose a new mate. There's no guarantee that he will choose me, but he doesn't want to take any chances because of how special my wolf Ahri is. She's a normal-sized wolf who happens to be pure silver, which is unheard of. White wolves are rare, but my father can't find anything ever written about silver wolves except that only one has ever been recorded to exist before, over two thousand years ago, but everything about her is unknown. To this day, not even the council knows what happened to her. He has been doing research for the last two years, since Ahri woke up the day I turned sixteen. Only my family has ever seen her and we wanted to keep it that way until recently when Alpha Dalton ordered anyone with a wolf, no matter their age, to join in the fight against the 3 packs. I'm supposed to report next week for my first day of a 3 week training session that he thinks would be good enough. Receiving that news, made dad decide we'd be leaving.

We packed really light, The fewer we had, the less we had to carry when making our escape. Dad had contacted a friend of his he met before I was born about us joining their pack on the other side of the world and he finally made it here yesterday. The plan is simple. We head out early in the morning when there's less patrol at the border and reject the pack, then make a run for it for two miles to meet his contact, then catch the flight to the new pack.

" Lariyah, are you ready for this? " My father asks

" Ready as I'll ever be. " I reply

The three of us spray a mask to cover our scents and run towards the woods when we see that it's clear. My father mind links my stepmom Hazel and I to stay alert, I look at the both of them and see how scared my stepmom is but trying to hide it while my dad consoles her and just can't help but to love and appreciate the both of them even more, They are risking everything for me. I'm so lucky to have them.

It's really quiet and dark outside and we're slowly making our way to the border. We don't make too much noise, that would alert the patrol. We've been walking for twenty minutes now and have about ten more minutes to go. This would have been a lot faster if we could have just changed into our wolves, but then we would've been heard.

There's the border. Make sure you reject the pack out loud once we get there, then hurry up and run. They will definitely be on our tails after. my father says. We got there and my father was the first to yell.

" I Jake Knox, Head warrior, reject the black vipers pack and cut all ties. "

" I, Hazel Knox, reject the black vipers pack. "

Right then was when we heard the loudest howl and we knew it was Alpha Dalton and he was heading our way.

" Hurry up Lariyah, let's go! " My dad screamed. We see some of the patrols coming out of the trees and I start to panic and scream.

" I Lariyah Knox reject the black vipers pack. "

I then hurried up to transform into my wolf just as my dad and step mom does and the patrol stops in astonishment as they see my silver wolf and we make a run for it.

The cat is out of the bag now, Or wolf I should say.

I look back and see Alpha Dalton come out into the clearing, still chasing after us and growling just as he sees us getting away and even more patrol on his tail.

" Lariyah run, my dad. " We get away quickly but still hear howls and growls not far behind, but I'm focused on what's ahead of me, " Lariyah, you need to transform back and jump on your dad's back before we get there. " my stepmother says. " But what about them behind us? " I reply.

" We're far enough away for you to get on my back but do it quickly. " My dad cuts in.

I did just as he said and jumped on his back. " Ahri, are you OK? " I ask

" Yes I am now. This was the only way. " I'm not sure what she means by that but I'll have to remember to ask her later. I look ahead and see a black suv and dad and hazel transform back, a couple of men step out.

Dad shakes hands with one and nods to the other. " Beta Davis sorry about all the formalities but we need to hurry and go. They were right on our tails. " Dad announced. " No problem, hop in, we'll talk on the plane " We then raced towards the airport.

The other man, whose name I've heard was Austin, hands us our passports while beta Davis drives through the airstrip. We rush out and we're about to board the plane, when a loud BANG suddenly reaches us and I see my stepmother fall, then another and Austin falls. " They're really shooting at us? What in the f**k is going on in this pack? "

We hit the ground and I crawled towards the plane. Beta Davis picks up Austin and dad picks up Hazel and we hear another bang as we get in and the beta shuts the door, " GO NOW! " He screams at the pilot. We get in the air and I look out the window in time to see Alpha Dalton staring straight at me, then pointing and my eyes go wide. I have never been this scared in my life and I feel like it's not over yet.
