The wind had finally diminished as the sun was setting. The fallen snow and cloudy sky cast a blue hue on everything as Kaitie looked out the kitchen window, where she stood washing dishes. Kaitie let out a sigh of relief. With the wind dying down, the utility crews should be able to restore power soon as long as no trees had fallen on the lines.
