I had hardly slept at all that night and I had hardly heard what they said in the lectures as I sat here at the kitchen table and watched tiredly how Linda with a far too much excessive enthusiasm gave Levi pieces of fruit which he took and stuffed himself happily, I smiled at him, he looked quickly at me and smiled before looking at Linda, I was glad, he was really a ray of sun, I touched the food they had put in front of me and Linda looked quickly at me as if she was urging Levi to eat and I sighed and stuffed a bite, if I did not do it she would gossip to dad… I could not bear another conversation that I had to eat; I knew that too. “So, you're going to Liam's later?” I looked stupidly at her happy face before I realized that Dad had not said anything, or that he had not had time.
