The thunderstorm engendered torrential downpours, tearing the grey clouded sky apart with streaks of lightning. The river roared as it thrashed about itself madly, due to the strong current. The fog-layered river flowed unceremoniously washing up two bodies on it's shores. They appeared dead as they lay unconcious on the shore for several hours. Scavengers soared the now, bright sky in anticipation. Circling momentarily about them. Margaret regained consciousness— squinting her eyes a few times to accommodate the sudden brightness. She felt exhausted and sick. Her body was numb and ached badly. She felt heavy due to the strange slender arms that snaked loosely about her.
