Aliyah Groaning, I blinked my eyes yet all I could see was darkness. I felt the panic begin to rise and my heartbeat quicken, until I remembered my training and closed my eyes and my mind. Breathing deeply, I inhaled the musty scent of mould and moisture. Placing my hands flat on the surface beneath me, I could feel the cold hard ground and knew I was seated directly on a concrete floor. As I moved my hands, I could feel the binds tighten against my feet and my wrists, informing me they were connected somehow. Moving my feet to get a gauge of limitations, I figured I could risk the rope burn and try to shuffle and scoot my way across the floor.
