Dawn broke with a shimmer that felt almost otherworldly. The sky blushed in hues of lavender and gold, while the forest below seemed to stir with secrets. Mist curled over the earth like silver ribbons, wrapping the land in mystery. Each droplet of dew clung to the leaves like tiny gems, and the hush of the morning air carried a magic only those who listened closely could feel. Somewhere in a rundown room which looks like it's about to fall apart lay a delicate looking girl, Celeste Everhart, who was shivering from lying on the cold floor. The room held nothing but a torn curtain, a tiny table that is already out of life and should be retired, a little tattered wardrobe and a dim lamp. This room is way worse than that of the slaves in the pack but then again the slaves are way better than her. The door of the rundown room burst open and a very gorgeous girl with a sinister smirk stepped in and walked to the sleeping figure on the floor, she raised the bucket with her and poured its entire content on Celeste making her jerk awake and scrambled up when she saw who it was. " you lazy b*tch how dare you have the audacity to still be sleeping? Have you grown wings or what?" Aside from her sister, there's also her parents who would rather give birth to a worm than birth her who turned to be a disgrace to their family. It wasn't like this from the beginning, growing up her parents loved her, they protected her from her sister who has always hated her before she was even born, but her parents were always there to protect her, making her sister get scolded by their parents because of her. But all that changed 2years ago when she failed to get her wolf which was and is still a disgrace to herself and her family. Her parent's attitude did a 360 degree change and they no longer cared about the bully she gets from her sister, infact they encouraged it. Her parents had always boasted about this daughter of theirs who was born on the day of the full moon according to the prophecy. She was born on the exact date and time, the pack which has been suffering from lack of rain suddenly got hit by a heavy rain. The whole pack saw her as their savior and were anticipating for when she'll grow up, get her wolf and become a very powerful female warrior . The Alpha of the pack even betroth her to his 4years old son to be his Luna and together they would make the pack very strong. But who would have thought that she was nothing but an ordinary human without a wolf? Even the weakest being in the pack has a wolf so why then doesn't she have a wolf? On the day of her coming of age ceremony where she would get her wolf and transform into her wolf for the first time, the whole pack was there to witness it.... Everyone was eager to see how powerful her wolf would be. Celeste was dressed beautifully in a white strapless gown with slit which accentuated her curve and made her look ethereal like a goddess. She was looking very beautiful on this big day of hers, her parents were smiling with pride as they looked at her lovingly. Then it was time for the wolf ceremony... When the clock struck midnight, everyone watched in anticipation but there was no change in her... They decided to wait for 30minutes more thinking the wolf was too powerful that was why it was taking time to appear but nothing happened. The bone cracking sound that was supposed to be heard didn't come, the moon that was shining bright dimmed which indicated that she was without a wolf The Alpha feeling disappointed angrily demote her to be a lowly omega, bellow the omegas of the pack, and then stormed off alongside his Luna. Celeste still kneeling down on the floor was already crying hard, she could not understand why her wolf refused to show up as it should, and then being demoted by the Alpha was a big stain she would never heal from The other members of the pack started leaving in pairs not without throwing her and her parents a disgusted look. After everyone had left, her father who had always doted on her the most gave her a heavy kick that sent her flying several meters away, her mother sneered at her in disappointment while her sister couldn't help but smile in victory Her parents and sister turned around and left her writhing in pains as she laid on the floor feeling as tho she was dreaming but the pain from the kick she received from her father told her it wasn't a dream at all, she really did not get her wolf and she has been abandoned by everyone She used all her strength to stand up and started limping the long distance back home, as if the heaven wasn't satisfied with her misfortune and humiliation it sent down a torrential downpour soaking her to bits. She cried as she continued her way home not bothering to hide from the rain.... Her tears mixed with the rain made her look so pathetic and worthless. The beautiful white gown she was wearing was already smeared with mud and it was now looking brown. She finally made it home and tried opening the door but it refused to budge, she knocked on the door a number of times but no one answered. The lights in the house were still on which shows her family were inside but choose to ignore her. She stopped knocking and just pressed her back to door as fat tears continued to pour down furiously.
