10 Miffy By the time Maggie had walked back up to her cottage her thighs were burning. The hill wasn’t so steep but in the snow it was tough exercise. She was pleased to have burned off her breakfast, but she figured her nervous energy had likely done that anyway. Henry. He had embarrassed her three times now, and in retaliation she had quite literally insulted his intelligence. She wanted to curl up and die. She changed her mind about getting on the plonk so early, opting instead for some of the complimentary hot chocolate in her kitchen, and an hour of a cheesy Christmas DVD.
