Ravena’s pov
I almost stopped breathing as Kael said in the council chambers, “And the winner is…” Ravena!"
People clapped and the feeling of accomplishment and happiness rose from my stomach to my head. I got up and adjusted my dress, my facial expression all calm and composed on the outside while my insides were a mess. The council members, the pack dignitaries congratulated me and showered me with good wishes and blessings.
Akira stepped forward, smiling her sweet smiling but her tone was full of threats, “Well done, Ravena.” May your reign be… informative.
I looked into Akira’s eyes and smiled, my eyes revealing my awareness. I knew that she was not happy for me at all, but I would not let her spoil my happiness. "Thank you, Akira. Thank you for your recognition,” I said politely.
