It was the sixth day after I became the alpha, and our pack’s security has been protecting a pack of small wolves. But only several days ago, an unforeseen attack led to the fact that the infirmary of our pack was filled with the injured. Some herbs were becoming rare and our healer, Elara had expressed her concern.
I was outside Kael’s office listening to him talking to Elara. "We need those herbs, Kael. Without them, we are bound to lose more lives,” Elara pleaded, her tone filled with despair.
Kael's voice was resolute. I will personally go into the woods and see for myself”. We can't afford to wait."
I opened the door and entered the room. "Kael, I'll accompany you."
Kael's eyes narrowed. "Ravena, it's not necessary. This is not a work for the chief of advisors.”
