My Smile

Liana decided to continue to go to the butterfly terrariums. The butterfly terrariums are the closest place to the aquarium.  The butterfly terrariums have their uniqueness. They are shaped like a circle and covered by a protective dome that keeps the butterflies inside, pretty much like what flat-eathers believe about the earth's shape. Because terrarium's shape, the butterflies are free to fly above their head or fly to any flowers, pretty much like in their natural habitat.  The twins run cheerfully when they enter the terrarium, followed by Liana and Odette, who had an exciting conversation, some girl talk. They sometimes glazed at the twins to make sure they weren't running too far. But there is Roman and Ethan. "Gray, blue, and white are my favorite colors."  "So the color of your shirt, jeans, and the car is basically your favorite colors?"  Liana also sometimes turns her head back to ensure that her dad and Ethan didn't leave too far behind. If they separated and got lost, Liana and the others would have difficulty finding their way back to the car or any other road. That's a big problem, and Liana didn't want any more trouble on this day.  Ethan nodded. "What's your favorite color then? Is it red?"  Roman laughed while looking at this shirt, then shook his head. "Try to guess it."  "I even said it straight away, but you're telling me to guess it. It's not fair," complained Ethan.  But Roman smiled annoyingly. He even pretended to look at an orange butterfly perched on a small yellow flower. "No one is forcing you, though." "Okay," said Ethan, with his eyes glaring at Roman, rubbing his nose that suddenly felt itchy. Could it be because of the terrariums? Roman takes a glance at Ethan. Somehow, his irritated face comforted Roman. Even if he had faced a big problem like his employee stealing things in his office or breaking some things in his office, just by looking at that face, Roman felt that he could laugh loudly.  "Gray?" Roman shook his head.  "Blue? White?"  "That's your favorite color."  "So you don't like my favorite color?" "Of course not." Ethan held his breath, and he stared at Roman, then he pursed his lips. Roman couldn't help but look at him. Roman lowered his head slightly, then laughed. "You gave up that easily?" Ethan still pursed his lips while Ethan moved his brown eyes towards Roman without turning his head. His lips turn flat again. "Who's to say I'm going to give up? Huh?"  Ethan took a few broad steps and walked in front of Roman, and in the exact second, he turned his whole body towards Roman; he was walking backward with his hands behind his back.  "You don't want to give a hint?" "A hint?"  Ethan glanced up, and he saw a protective dome surrounding the butterflies' terrariums. "Yeah, a hint. For example, I like the color of the sun at dusk, or I like the color of someone's eyes."  Roman keeps silent. It seems like it took him some time to think, causing him to complain because whatever he's thinking is taking too long.  "Or I like the color of the sky today, I like the color of a tree trunk, I like the color of a butterfly, or I like the color of a certain animal?" "No." "I like the color of the leaves?" "No." "I like the color of stone? Water? Sand?" "Shut up, I'm thinking." Ethan rolled his eyes, is that old man making a math question for an exam or something? He must have been thinking something challenging to make it harder for Ethan to guess.  Why not just say it right away? Wouldn't it be easier? "I'm not sure, but sometimes if you look at this color, it's a bit gloomy." "Pretty much like yourself."  Roman smiled, but this time is more like a smirk. Alright, this time, Roman will ignore his words. "Guess it then." How come Ethan never won an argument with him? Not even once? "It is brown, isn't it? Is it brown like my eye color or like mud? Because mud is a bit gloomy, you know. If you like mud brown, it perfectly suits you." Roman shook his head. "I'm right, am I? It's just that you don't want to admit it!" Roman laughed while rubbing his forehead. "I'm not. You haven't mentioned the color."  Ethan crosses one of his arms while thinking and still walking backward.  "Can't you give me other clues? There were a lot of gloomy colors! Fun fact, even almost any color can be gloomy! Even yellow!"  "I'm a night owl."  His posture slumped slightly, followed by deep breathing. "How do those clues help me?" Roman shrugged his shoulders. "I often think of that color when I stay up late."  "What do you think about when you stay up late? Owl color? Brown, isn't it? "When I look up, I always see it." "White! It's white. Isn't your house mostly painted white? So your ceiling must be painted white too. You are indeed cheating! I already mentioned white at the beginning." "No. But when I looked up to the sky."  Ethan lifted his head. "Blue? If you say the sky isn't blue, I'll throw you in a lion or hyena's enclosure." "And?" "And white? Yellow? You tell me the skies look yellow? Try to lift your head, you an annoying old man, Are yo—" Suddenly, Ethan's eyes sparkle and gleam, he even bouncing from foot to foot. "It wouldn't be wrong this time. But if you even still shake your head, I won't ask again, and I'll pretend that this color is your favorite color forever." Ethan slowed his foot, and he slowly walked back beside Roman.  "So, what is your guess this time?"  Ethan smiled proudly. "Black."  Roman clapped his hands three times, smiling mockingly at Ethan, but Ethan didn't care about Roman. This time, he felt that finally, he could win an argument with that old man. "Speaking about the sky."  Roman heard Ethan cough, maybe to clear his throat. "If a polar bear and a great white shark battled in outer space, who do you think would win?"  Ethan was tilting his head while looking at Roman.  "They will die. They won't be able to breathe in outer space."  Ethan sighs heavily, his lips curl down. "Let's say they have a spacesuit."  "A spacesuit for humans? The polar bear will live, but the great white shark? Did you didn't know that sharks breathe with gills that help them take in oxygen in water? So we can conclude that the winner is the polar bear."  Ethan punched him right on his shoulder. That old man could still mock Ethan by making dramatic screams of pain, which he must have been faking. "Let's say. No matter how, humans can make a spacesuit for the great white shark. But they didn't feel that it was hard to move in outer space. They can move freely like they were in their natural habitat. "But still, they wouldn't be able to hurt each other. Both the bear and the great white shark covered their bodies in space suits." Ethan is rolling up sleeves. His breath sounds heavy. Roman immediately laughed, then held Ethan's hand that clenched.  "Easy kids, Easy."  "What if we had a battle instead of that polar bear or the shark? Aren't you curious who is going to win?"  Roman laughed, then unrolled his sleeves. Then patted his shoulder. "I'm just kidding."  Ethan brushed off Roman's hand that was on his shoulder, then preferred to look at a beautiful black butterfly with white stripes on the tips of its wings. It was so annoying, and even the butterfly was on Roman's side. Look how black it is! While the white color is only a tiny line.  "Okay good job."  "So, what's the answer?" Roman paused, his face confused. "Was what that question? Would you repeat it for me?"  Ethan was grinding one's teeth, then quickening his steps. "Don't you dare walk beside me! You're annoying, old man!"  Roman was surprised even his laughter was thunderous. "Hey Ethan," he called, trying to match his pace with Ethan. "Don't you dare to touch me!" "You mad?" "I hate you!" Liana laughed as Ethan walked past her, with quick but deep steps, with the sound of his shoes screeching. Then she saw her father laughing. She didn't know what they were talking about, but Liana just shook her head. "He's short-tempered, isn't he?." said Roman to Liana. "You weren't the one who teased him, weren't you?" He even smiled until his lips almost met the corners of his eyes. "He's the youngest child. Isn't it usually like that?" "You are the first child and making that as an excuse?" "Aren't all siblings like that? Don't you guys often tease Niall too?" Liana was rubbing her brow as if to ward off a headache. "I hate it, but you've got the point." "Exactly." Unexpectedly, Roman and Ethan's eyes met again. Still, Ethan looked at him with his annoying smile while pursing his lips before finally, Ethan moved to Odette's side, as if he was hiding behind Odette's body. It makes Roman laugh.  He looks cute, doesn't he?
