A River whose Flow Split The Forest

"You won't believe it." Emma rolled her eyes lazily, but Ethan was still Ethan; he told what he knew from Guen yesterday, no matter Emma wanted to hear it or not. Emma wondered why doesn't just talk in the mirror then? It would feel the same, right? Ethan lay down on his bed. "And tomorrow, Mr. Pearson would teach me how to paint. I finally got to see the room where he painted and his paintings. Oh my god, it will be fun!" Emma giggled mockingly. "Don't expect too much, Ethan. You know him more than I do. He might just take you to his living room." Ethan groaned. "You suck Emma, destroying other people's happiness!' opposed Ethan. But Emma just chuckled, stirring the tea she had just made. "You don't have any plans to play a game with Dante, Isaac, and Hunter today?" she asked. Ethan opened the chat group, but nothing led to an invitation to play a game, so he shook his head instead. "Because earlier at the office, Hunter said he would invite you and the others to play a game. You can also tell them about this story." Ethan shook his head precipitously. Considering the last unpleasant miscommunication, Ethan would hold this story until he was given a chance to tell it to everyone. Emma sipped her tea. "And if there is another misunderstanding, it would be fun to know," she laughed. Ethan took a deep breath. In the end, they hung up the call after Emma told about Judith, who had called her because she couldn't call Hunter, who turned out to be asleep at his desk. Luckily Emma came and immediately woke him up. Hunter would definitely be reported to their superiors if someone else found him. Ethan nodded in understanding. He knew how tough competition was because things like that happened in his office. Ethan immediately put his phone beside his bed, then took a pillow and hugged it. "Why is tomorrow taking so long? Is the earth's orbit slower today? It's totally unfair!" he said as he buried his face in the pillow, it muffled his voice, so the other wouldn't hear his voice. After being satisfied complaining about the earth and everything innocent, Ethan laid his body to the side. The next thing he did was smile like an i***t before finally falling asleep. *** If anyone thought that idiotic smile only appeared a moment before Ethan fell asleep. This is absolutely wrong. This idiotic smile even remained on his face like a fly caught in a glue trap. Some of his co-workers even made fun of Ethan. They assumed that the smile had something to do with Liana. But Ethan didn't give a clear answer, so that wrong assumption spread to the others. His smile disappeared for a moment, his hands floating on the keyboard while thinking about Liana. "I want to be honest with her, I can't go on with all this, but I still want to be friends with her and Odette too. I still want to play with Miles and Niall." And the one thing Ethan wanted the most. "I want to be free to visit Mr. Pearson's at his house." Ethan supported up his cheeks as he stared at the black lines that flashed on his computer screen. "Why do I feel like I'm being mean to Liana and my parents when the thing I did was thinking about him." How nice it was to be around him, how nice it was to talk to him. From the second dinner, the zoo, the mall, the cafe, to yesterday's conversation in his house. None of those things made Ethan feel uneasy, feel tortured, or feel forced. It was and will always be a good memory for Ethan. Ethan raised his hand in the air and wrung his hand. "It just flows, one to another, when I stopped and realized it was like a river whose flow split the forest." That idiotic smile returned to his face, even when everyone was getting ready to go back to their homes. Ethan felt grateful because today, his father handed over all the work to him, and that man went somewhere with his mother. Actually, they said where they wanted to go, and only Ethan forgot the place's name. But it's unnecessary; what's crucial is how Ethan can get to his house immediately and change his clothes to comfy clothes while carrying the canvas he bought yesterday. He had put everything he needed in his living room. Ethan even carelessly threw his suit on the chair in his living room. "I'll take care of you later," said Ethan. Ethan rushed out, walked to the Pearson's house. Confidently, he knocked on the door. But this time, the thing that surprised Ethan was someone who opened the door for him, his idiotic smile fading. She is also the same person who can only hurt people he loves. Mrs. Pearson. That woman looked neat in jeans and a shirt. She looks like she'll be leaving soon. "Good afternoon, Ethan," she said with a smile. It was a strange smile, a smile, not just a welcoming smile. Ethan smiled lightly. "Good afternoon, Mrs. Pearson." "Are you looking for Liana? Liana hasn't come home yet. She took Miles and Niall to the mall to play. Maybe she'll be back at night." His heart winced. "Ah well, I'll excuse myself then." There was a wailing feeling of being latched in by his senses. "Don't you want to come in, Ethan? I could make a coffee or a tea for you." Ethan couldn't hold on to that numb smile any longer. He immediately shook his head and turned around. "Roman will be home soon, don't you want to see him?" Damn, this woman. Ethan could hear a click-clack from her high heels. "What do you want?" asked Ethan. Mrs. Pearson was standing right in front of him. "Can we make a deal? It's simple, we'll keep our mouths shut about whatever things we see, or we hear. How about that? It's a great deal, you know." Ethan clenched his fists. "Why don't you just leave with him? Why are you still holding that?" Mrs. Pearson narrowed his eyes. "A child like you, even if I explain it, you won't understand. After all, you only see a tiny part from a whole picture. I don't want people to misunderstand because of that bit you saw." Ethan's breathing becomes heavier. "A tiny part? I can tell that the whole picture that you're talking about is not the right thing by just seeing that tiny part. You can only hurt him, but you never feel guilty." Mrs. Pearson turned around. "I told you, you wouldn't understand. After all, you are arrogant, saying that as if you will be with him for the rest of your life." The sound of high heels sounded so irritating. Ethan's ears felt like they were about to explode. "I'll bet you'll get bored with him after a few weeks." She opened the door of a car that Ethan rarely saw, a small red car. "I hold been with him for many years. We live happily. After all, a young soul like you isn't meant to be lovers for a lifetime either," she said as she got into the car with a mocking laugh.
