Chapter 21Zoe skirted through the reception area of the IT floor as the elevator doors close. Without looking back, she listened for footsteps behind her. Hearing none she approached the receptionist.
“Good afternoon, how can I help you?”
“I’m having some trouble with my lab computer. It’s doing some strange things, like the cursor moves on its own. Is there someone here who can look into that? It’s kind of messing up my work.”
“One moment.”
The receptionist tapped a few keys on her desk phone. “Hi, Frank, I’ve got a… sorry, I didn’t ask your name.”
“Doctor Morgenthal.”
“A Doctor Morgenthal here saying her computer is doing a few screwy things. Are you free to check it out? Excellent, thank you.” She smiled at Zoe and said. “Frank will be right out.”
“Thank you.”
