I stood by the window watching the woman who was meant to be my step mother step out of the car with her daughter, she was exactly the opposite of my mum. mun was a blond like me but Claire has dark brown hair just like her daughter Ann.... they went to the extent of having the same mane with me !!! she is Annabell and am Annabella so reassuring I thought when dad told me their names before today and asked me to behave.... "well am just 18 he shouldn't expect much from me" I thought as I saw them approach the front door. "Ella where are you!" I heard dad call but decided not to answer I just stood at the stair way looking at them as they struggled with their luggage, "don't you want to greet your new mum?" Dad asked and i still stood as if I was deaf. I just had a huge fight with dad and he was acting as if nothing happened, why on earth is he married to another woman almost immediately after mum died, i was so angry at him but even with all my tantrums he still went ahead and married Claire, I don't even want to talk about her dumb looking daughter who was same age as i. "what do you think you are doing!?" dad asked looking obviously angry, "Ann took the cup mum gave me on my last birthday!!" I screamed as tears started rolling down my eye "sweetheart let her be she is just a kid" Clair said caressing my dad's chest "be good to her because she is the mother you have now, is that clear?" dad asked "I didn't ask for another mother" I snapped back " young lady I think the drama is enough for today, I haven't even settled in!" Claire snapped smiling with her eyes wild open and frustration written all over her face "ohhhhhhhh finally her true colours are starting to show, cut the act and be the step mother U are meant to be, I mean aren't we remaking the Cinderella movie here?" I. asked laughing sarcastically, before I could turn to go back up the stairs Ann grabbed me by my hair "I will show you Cinderella today!!" she screamed I immediately yanked her hair as if I was waiting for the fight and we both landed on the floor, "stop disrespecting my mother" Ann shouted "tell her to leave my father" I snapped back. "how dare you" she snapped back at me with her gray with her gray eye widened we were later sent to our rooms where the fight was successfully separated, I was happy we fought because I disliked her from day one and I was sure the feeling was mutual. during dinner dad and Claire acted as if nothing happened earlier... maybe it's common with adults I thought, Ann sat on the chair next to my dad and Claire sat on the other side, "that's my spot" I said to Ann "where is your name written here" she asked smirking "I have always owned this spot before today can you please get up" I asked calmly "why don't you sit close to your sister" dad politely asked "or you can come and sit by my side" Claire said smiling from ear to ear 'don't she get tired of smiling?' I thought as I looked at her in disgust "I am going to count to three" I said closing my eye "Ella!" dad yelled knowing what I was capable of doing but it was too late because Ann was already on the floor, I sat down immediately mentally preparing for another fight. come on darling Claire said helping her up and taking her to the chair next to her, "Paul you need to tame your daughter" Claire said this time with a serious face and dad just glad glared at me as if he was going to kill me after dinner. The next day I dressed up for school and left without talking to anyone at home not knowing what faced me in school "good day all, I will like to introduce U to a new student" miss Catherine's voice echoed through the class room and loo and behold it was my stepsister "hi am Annabelle Mac collin" Ann said smiling like an angel that she isn't, "Mac collin? Elle isn't that your name?" Maya asked as everyone turned to look at me " oohhh I.... I thi... I guess we are namesakes then ha ha ....," I laughed nervously "she is my step sister " ann devilishly announced to the class Maya kept pestering me in class to tell her how I already got a step sister "I guess my dad is too horny to let my mother rest properly before taking another woman" I said sarcastically as Maya burst into laughter, I was still speaking to Maya until I saw a scene that broke me down............. Ann was with James!!!!!!!!! MY JAMES!!!!! before I could reach them Kimberly my childhood bestie was already there, ..... Maya and Kimberly were my closest friends at school, I have known kim since I was nine and I have known Maya since I entered high school. I asked "yea sure... you will be there right?" he asked "of course, it's your party I should be there" I replied our exam was starting the upper week and I knew I shouldn't be parting but we are talking about James.... my boyfriend... I knew I had to go. when I got home I was hearing squeaking sounds coming out of my dad's bedroom and I knew it wasn't the best time to talk to my dad so I just dressed up and left for the party but that was just the end of my relationship with James because my scheming evil step sister was having s*x with my boyfriend Kim tried fighting but I stopped her because it wasn't the first time I cought James cheating, it's just that this time it was Ann and I was furious so I just heat back home to listen to the squeaking sounds of my dad's bed.
