Chapter 44: NICU Life

Kali had decided she was staying with her baby at nicu and well Kali would Stay for 4 days then come home for 3 but Kali didn't like being away from her little girl. However ever since she had her baby Kali Would wake up just crying and wanting her baby it helped a little to call and check on baby Ziva however one night a week later as Kali was talking with her mom she told her as she was crying and wanting her baby that it wasn't fair she did everything by the book that all the other moms got to hold their babies as soon as they were born but she had to wait for 4 days, the other moms got to dress their babies and she still hadn't been able to dress hers, and that all the other moms got to bring their babies home from the hospital not long after and her baby was still in the hospital. The only thing Brittany could think to calm Kali down was to call the nicu and check on Ziva and shirely enough it worked like a charm. The next day at the doctors they diagnosed Kali with postpartum depression and as they said that was almost a given especially with Ziva early random birth and the emergency csection and the fact that Kali and Ziva had been at two different hospitals another thing was that Ziva was a preemie. The next day Kali was right back up their and she sat their with her coffee near by and she would hold baby Ziva for three hours then shed go eat and hold her again for three hours then go eat and come hold her again for a bit before going to bed. However as the days went on Kali learned a lot, learned how to care for her baby and how to watch for when she forgot to breathe. Somedays Kali just enjoyed having Cole To talk to even if it was just via text since they had a hard time getting their schedules To match and he was wanting to take her out for coffee and breakfast. Meanwhile exact for when they were dripping her off and picking her up Kali was the only one up there. Alonso had only text her and that was once a week. Meanwhile their was one night where Ziva Had a rough night of forgetting to breath and the night nurse well She was clearly having a bad night and was grumpy so Kali went to the waiting area and just looked out the window enjoying the view. The next day Kali was Heading home and Kali still actively waited to be able to teleport again as the doctor said it could take some time that the postpartum depression Was effecting her powers. even though Kali loved being with her baby she was a bit excited to go out for breakfast with Cole. Meanwhile once the sun had began to set Missi had Showed up to teleport Kali to Impresso Espresso with her for their evening coffee and catch up with their siblings Nathan and his wife Tiffany, Roxxy-Lynn showed up, coco and Jose, jojo and Ryan, Jake and Kaleb showed up, And to everyone's surprise Carly and Josh came too. Kali went to tell everyone about the nicu and baby Ziva. As they all awed hearing about baby Ziva, Kali asked “how everyone else was?” As Ryan went on To tell everyone “that Ruby’s biological mother would be getting released Here in two months.” As Nathan said “well hopefully she just hies on with her life after all she did to you guys” as Tiffany says “were going to try another round of IVF” and Kali got the biggest smile and said “im glad you aint giving up” and Jose chirped in “coco Walked through my screen door again” as he rolled his eyes and Jojo laughed telling him “ thats nothing new! She has done that since high school” and Kaleb said “ bro you new what tou were getting into” as Jose laughed and said “ but i didn't know it would be so expensive! I'm always replacing the screen door and her accidently ripping Door and cupboards off the hinges” as everyone got a good laugh at Jose and Coco. Kali was just enjoying her time with her siblings and some friends. As night had Missi Teleported Kali back home. As Kali layed their she just started crying and wanting her baby so Brittany and her called to check on her and they told her she was doing good whoch always helped checking on her. Meanwhile as they stared getting some clothes for baby Ziva and getting things for her room and things a baby needs. The next day instead of driving after a long shift the day before he Telaported Brittany, Kali and Himself to the Hospital and as they arrived he said hey we got her quicker So we can all go see Ziva and see how shes doing. As Kali got Thing settled in the waitkng area. Labeling her bag with her baby girls room number and she made herself a cup of iced hazelnut coffee to go while her dad and mom took her things to Ziva's room Aaron peeked in at her and then went in his way to the waiting area where He fell asleep and took a much needed nap. As Kali got her things all settled while her mom peeked in at baby Ziva as Brittany new how much she loved her tiny granddaughter. She so loved Already more than she new. Brittany and Aaron are proud Grandparents.
