Prolouge
Seated on his golden chair was the god of all gods, So La the god of sun, but instead of listening to his ministers reports there he was listening to his wife's complaints.
"Your majesty, please grant our third son's marriage proposal to the seventh daughter of the Hua household," the woman was rather pretty even when she cries and beg.
"Seventh- Isn't she the famous lazy bum of the Hua household? What caused our son to feel feel stressed and heartbroken to an incompetent fairy?"
His eyebrows knitted together as his thoughts worked to solve such puzzling situation.
"Your Majesty, the Third Prince had locked himself for months now and refuses to come out after the rejection of the Seventh Miss to his proposal. I beg of you to help our son."
So La was rather intrigued at such young deity, thus he simply gave a nod to shoo her off so he can think of a proper solution.
When empress had left, So La decided to check on the Seventh Miss of the Hua household. As he secretly enters the manor by climbing the walls he readied himself to jump but unexpectedly he slipped and bounced on a body and not on the ground.
"Hap!" a voice alerted him, he rushed to get up and was surprised to see a young lady clutching her body in pain.
He waited for her to react violently but with a few minutes, she continued sleeping like she wasn't even squished.
So La was shock but he realized it was the seventh miss.
"You..."
Yet she continued sleeping, this action caused Emperor Sola to speculate, what is the bottom line of a lazy bum?
After the Emperor left, Mother Hua came to check on her little seventh.
"Eh, Seventh, ai, Seventh," she hurriedly tried to wake her up but it seems she had passed out. Alas, the misunderstanding of the Emperor about Hua Chun Meili being a hardcore lazy bum will soon destroy her peaceful life.
Hua Chun Meili woke up by night and groaned, "Why does my body felt like it had been squished ah!"
♛♛♛
One day Hua Chun Meili visited the temple of the Deity of Destiny as she was friends to the daughter of the Deity of Destiny.
"Mei," the daughter of the Deity of Destiny, Qian, was on her daily practice of binding red strings to every creatures and person in the universe.
"Qian'er, did you manage to bind a string to anyone yet?" Hua Chun Meili laid on the wooden floor beside her friend and lazily stared at the strings floating in mid-air as Qian tried to manipulate it.
"Not yet, but how about you?"
Qian was focused on tying the strings but was also waiting for her answer.
"Mom, wants me to be a fairy," she replied in a bummed tone, "A spring fairy."
She giggled at the misfortune of her friend, she actually knew the lazy friend of hers just wants to lounge all day at her room and spend her eternity in sleeping, "Shouldn't you be the fairy of laziness instead?"
Hua Chun Meili touched the scissors placed beside her, "This is?"
Qian glanced at the scissor and continued focusing, "Father gave it to me, he told me if ever I made a mistake I could always cut the strings that were mistakenly tied by me."
"Eh, can I also use it?"
"Yep, just insert a small amount of magical power and the scissor will move by itself," Qian explained, "You could help me cut the mistaken strings if ever I made some errors."
Hua Chun Meili was indeed a lazy one because she didn't even tried to practice on how to handle her magical powers, thus in the end....
"Kyaah! Mei, stop the scissors it's cutting all the red strings!"
"I'm trying but it won't!"
"Waah!"
"Qian, the scissor is coming after us!"
On this misfortuned fateful day, Emperor So La who coincidentally visited the temple of Red Strings was speechless to find such scenario.
"What is going on!" Yue, the deity of destiny was shock and angered to see the chaos that were created by by both ladies, with a swift of his hand the scissor stopped moving itself and finally the ladies were kneeling in front of the elders.
The Emperor recognized Hua Chun Meili.
"Aren't you the Seventh Hua my son had been trying to chase, We are rather surprise you have a daring side," the Emperor stated.
"Your Excellency, please don't punish Qian it was all my fault," Hua Chun Meili defended her friend.
"But-" She hurriedly secretly pinched Qian and glared at her as if telling her to keep quiet.
"Enough," Qian's father silenced both.
"The trial for your actions will be judged first thing in the court tomorrow," Emperor So La ended the arguments, but he tried to supress his excitement on finding out the bottom line of Hua Chun Meili.
..........
Emperor So La looked at the scroll before him, trying to think what he'll give them as a punishment, destroying the red strings has a heavy consequence, but for some reason he wanted to write a punishment which would push the Seventh Hua's bottom line, but in the end came up with nothing.
The next day, before the trials of the ladies, So La, was having his daily morning walks until he heard a ruckus.
"Meili, I heard about your problem, I'll help you plead Imperial Father to lessen the punishment you'll receive."
Ara, wasn't this his son's voice? Meili? Wasn't this the name of the Seventh Hua?
"Don't worry Your Highness, I maybe lazy but I am not that lazy to face the consequences of my wrong doings," her voice was cold and distant.
"Meili, you know that-"
"Third prince, please don't push my buttons about your feelings. You are a great honorable deity, you have a lot of admirers please pick from them, but don't place me on one of those choices!"
"Meili-"
"Your royal highness, stop calling me that name, we aren't that close, sure back then, but not anymore."
So La hurriedly rush back to the courtyard of the Empress, "Greetings to-"
"Forgo the formalities, Empress, about Third prince and the Seventh, what's about them?"
Yes, he decided to have a little chitchat, he was very aware of the characters of his sons, the two were reliable while the third prince was mostly idle and unreliable. So, how did the Seventh Hua tame the idle one.
"Well, I don't know much about the details however, after I had it investigated, third prince somehow tried to move the heart of Seventh Hua as a bet he made with his friends."
So being betrayed and played is your bottom line!
So La gave a laugh, "In the end, she was lazy not to bother and our son ended up falling." He was immersed on the brilliant punishment he had created, he didn't hear the Empress speculation. He could use this self discovery to make an interesting love story that would keep him entertained.
"A lazy bum and an idle prince," he muttered ecstaticly.
The morning court had began and so is the trial of both ladies began, Emperor So La excitingly gave the scroll to be read...
"Destroying the red strings is tantamount to causing mass destruction to every realm, the punishment for such act is to be banished in the heavenly realm."
Gasps could be heard.
"However, We have decided and reconsidered, First Si, Si Qian, as an accessory to the crime, shall be locked up in the temple of Red Strings to mend the strings back for a hundred years, reflect and repent whilst being locked up."
Qian gave a sigh of relief, she was let off with a warning.
"Seventh Hua, Hua Chun Meili, the main culprit to the crime, you shall be sent on a love tribulation, with the third prince, Shu Sen."
Her eyes narrowed as she spoke forgetting about etiquette and manners, "Your majesty, the third prince isn't part of the crime so why are you sending him with my tribulation?
"We think that sending off a young fairy to a love tribulation all alone is quiet worrisome…"
"Your Majesty, this subject, is perfectly capable of taking the trial alone."
Ah, she hates the Third this much, a spice of love and hate romance will soon bloom!
"The verdict for your punishment had already been decided," He casted a gesture to end the discussion.
Hua Chun Meili however stood firmly, "Your majesty, I will never be linked to the third prince, I'll struggle even if I have to!"
This made the Emperor even excited, "Bet."
The crowd gave him a questioning gaze.
"If in the end you wouldn't end up with this Emperor's son, your punishment shall be canceled, however if you did you shall continue with another love trial with him, don't worry three lifetimes is what one love trial consist. Meaning, the condition of the bet shall take effectively after the third lifetime."
"Then it shall be, what you say."
.....
The Deity of Destiny, Yue, was startled to find So La sitting on his chair as he fiddled with a brush, composing himself he bowed, "Greetings to your Majesty."
"Hush," he quickly shush him, "What do you think would be a better plot for her? I've already written the first lifetime and felt it was a bit cliche, do you think mixing two lifetimes together be a plot twist!"
Yue looked at him puzzled, he heard about the commotion in the palace he thought it was just a joke but who would've thought the Emperor was serious.
"Your Majesty, I'll only be giving you the right to write the destiny of the seventh Hua but I hope you should first know about the rules..."
"Yue, your too uptight with this rules and whatever's, this would ruin my imagination," So La complaint.
"...." the rules imposed under the heaven passed under the jurisdiction of So La yet he dares to not obey them.
He decided to ignore the Emperor who busied himself on his table.
"Ah, mixing two lifetime together is a nice twist but it needs more dazzles and surprises, what if I broke the soul of Hua Chun Meili into two!"
"Your Majesty that is against the law!"
But it fell into deaf ears, "Done."
Yue was surprised to see a red parchment placed on the table and was being written nonchalantly by the Emperor. His face turned dark but he couldn't lash his anger to him.
The red scroll was specifically used to bind the fate of two deities for eternity and it was the parchment he created for millenniums after too many hardship, in short, it was his prized possesion he hopes to use on his daughter's marriage fate.
But in the end it was casually used.
Thus he remained quiet and waited for the Emperor to finish with his nonsensical scribbling.
"Yue, I hope you can keep it safe, I'll be off then," So La happily bounced away.
Yue stared at the scroll as his eyes narrowed, he reached out and the scroll glowed.
Even though the scroll was designed that the written fate of such person be bound for eternity and can never be erased, Yue had also a trick on his sleeves.
"Your Majesty, I hope the few changes caters to your tastes," He said with a sunny smile.
