Chapter 17

It was now 6:30 a.m and Alice and Dawin was still in the sea side, Dawin was convincing Alice to go inside the forest but Alice was just ignoring him.

"Alice, we need to find a food!" Dawin frustratingly said.

"If your much that hungry, go to the life boat, open the hard drawer near the machine, there is a black bag there and open it."

Dawin just confusingly nodded but nonetheless still followed what she said.

When he was done getting the said bag, he opened it and his eyes comically widens.

Inside in the bag was twenty can goods, first aid, flashlight, torch, two plain t shirts, one sharp knife, a whistle, 10 water bottles.

'This is a lot,' Dawin thought.

Dawin went to Alice and sat beside her.

"By the way, if you own this island, you must also know how to let us go back in seoul or jeju right?"

"That's the problem Dawin, every time I go here, I was left alone here by the driver in my Yacht, every time he left, I will always tell him the date when to come back and fetch me. Wondering why I said those to him than calling him in phone? Cause there is no signal here, and if we ever use that life boat, It won't reach Seoul or Jeju."

Dawin nods, now all they will do is to wait for the rescuers, after all they are victims of a storm surge.

Alice suddenly stands up and smiled down to Dawin.

"Wanna see a surprise?" Alice said while beaming.

"Are you gonna kill me?"

Alice shot him a glare, "stand up."

Dawin doesn't need to be told twice and instantly stands up, he doesn't want Alice to nag again and again.

"Let's go inside the forest," Alice said excitedly.

"But you said, you won't come there?"

"That was earlier now come on, I want to lay down."

"Huh?"

Alice starts to walk in the path way they saw earlier and Dawin was just behind Alice while holding the bag he got from the life boat.

The forest was magically beautiful, birds chirping can be heard all over the area, Dawin glance at his surroundings and saw some exotic plants he never saw in seoul.

But what Dawin was still confused is the way Alice walks, it really looks like she's comfortable, she's not worrying if someone will attack her any minute, she was just bouncing her feet while still walking.

After a long tiring, thirty minutes walk Alice suddenly stops walking and Dawin who didn't notice it, bump his chest to Alice head.

"Be careful," Alice said.

"And now we're here," Alice said while clapping her hands, giggling happily.

"What--"

When Dawin turn his head to the front, his eyes widen, he was literally speechless.

In front of him and Alice was a medium sized modern house, there is a white gate surrounds the whole house and everything screams luxury.

"Y-you own this?" Dawin asks while still shocked.

"Yes I own this, the money I used here is from my Blood, sweat and tears, you know being famous was never been easy," Alice said while chuckling.

"Let's go," Alice said enthusiastically.

"Wait it's lock?" Dawin asks but Alice just shrugged.

"You know my padlock needs either password or a key and for now let's go to the password."

When Alice was done opening the gate, they got inside, still not forgetting to lock the gate, just incase.

Alice also used her finger print on the main door of the house.

"Your house is so modern."

"I know right."

Alice opened the door, and Dawin in the same time remembered something.

"How about the electricity? And the water?"

"I use solar and the water, just maybe a 10 minutes walk there is a lake in the south and when this house was built, they use a pipe and connect everything, everything was planned all along about the daily needs, like water and electricity.

As you may also notice, this island has no people or community."

"How do you discover this island by the way," Dawin said while seating on a white fluffy couch.

"Oh that, same as what happened to us earlier, in jeju I was on a vacation, and you know how stubborn I am, I rented a jet ski, for fun you know, but unfortunately there was a typhoon that time and things happened that in the next day I woke up lost in this island but the day after, the rescuers also found me," Alice said while laughing a little.

But Dawin? He didn't find it funny nor entertaining.

"So because of your stubbornness you got lost, in this island? And at that time you still doesn't have this house and your alone?! Alice are you nuts, what if something happened to you at that time huh?"

Alice smiled akwardly, "I'm sorry okay that won't happen again, or maybe not now as you may see we got lost again." Alice laughed akwardly.

Dawin just sigh and let it slide for once.

Alice checked her watch and smiled.

"It's already 7 a.m let's make breakfast."

"You have food stuck here?"

"Um? Of course, you know me, I want my house is always full of food?" Dawin laugh, exactly she is right, he remembered before how Alice always grumbled when Dawin wouldn't buy groceries on their old house as he is always lazy.

Dawin widen his eyes when he realize what he thought.

He shouldn't have remembered that, past is past.

When Alice opened a door, Dawin's eyes again bulge out.

Like literally Alice didn't joke about having her house full of food like, the foods the had stock can be almost used for 1 year.

"Your house is not big, but it feels comfortable."

"It should be!" Dawin flinched when Alice shouted.

Like really, what's with her today.

"Are you perhaps on your period?" Alice suddenly halted and looked at Dawin, and after seconds, her eyes widen.

"s**t! I forgot!"

Alice hurriedly runs to the bathroom, while Dawin? He was staring at the direction Alice have just ran.

"That baby," he mumbles, but his eyes widen when he realize what he said.

"Are now stupid Dawin? You should be mad at her."

Dawin decided to make the breakfast, like he was surprised on how the refrigerator works so fine, and there was a lot of processed foods, vegetables, can good, junk foods, meats, chicken, fish like, Alice must planning to stay here forever.

"But she said she last visit here when she still didn't meet Brian."

But he flinched when suddenly Alice replied who is just behind him.

"That's because I have my staff who always come here every month and check the supplies and everything I ask them to do."

Dawin just nods and continued to talk, while Alice decided to open the bag Dawin bring earlier.

After good 30 minutes, they are now seated in the dining chair and foods are in the dining table.

"Oh Dawin, when I say no signal, it also means there is no TV, got it?"

"Of course, I'm not stupid. By the way, why did you chose this place even though it has no signal and electricity."

"Cause this is the peace that I want."

It was now 1 pm and Alice was sleeping peace fully in the bed, while Dawin is in the living room, it was fine for him to sleep there as it was also warm and the couch was big enough for him to fit in, and also Alice gave him a thick blanket and a fluffy pillow.

Also both was also done on changing their dirty clothes, luckily Alice loved over size shirts and she also have her mini closet in her house. She lend Dawin her over sized shirts and also pants.

Alice stirred on her sleep and groaned, she opened her eyes and roam her eyes over her room.

She really love this house, no one in her family knows about it, including Cassy, well she doesn't have any plans to tell them, it not that she doesn't like to tell them, but this house became her safe place and she doesn't want people to come and know this island.

When she bought this island, she strictly told the people who work for her house to not tell the other people about this, she made a contract and she let them sign it.

But now that Dawin comes to know about this, well it will be only him, no one else will come to know this.

If the rescuers will come here, she will also make sure that they will not roam around the island or else her house will be seen.

She needs to make sure that if they leave this island no one will stay behind and will create an inspection.

Alice stands up and goes outside going to the living room, she saw Dawin and smiled. She goes at the back of the couch and open a monitor there, in the monitor is a cctv, she can clearly will see what happens outside the house including the sea side.

So incase if the rescuers will come and Alice and Dawin is in the house, she will always make sure to check the monitor.

Busan, 2 pm.

Pia is with the others in Busan, they still not didn't go to Seoul yet, not until Dawin and Alice will be back.

They are now at Marquez residence, actually Busan was the hometown of Dawin, Mr. Gabriel, Dawin's grandpa, he was raised here in Busan but when his company became successful he transferred to Seoul and left Lucas here in Busan with his mother, and when Lucas was in his teen age, that was when he met Mae, and after they have Dawin and Pia, in early age, the family transferred to Seoul as Lucas was appointed as the new CEO.

"Uncle, tomorrow I'll be going back to Seoul," Oliver said out of the blue.

"Huh? Why?"

"I'll be going to watch over your company, I know you didn't want to go back yet until Dawin and Alice is found, so for now I'll be the one who'll go there."

Lucas smiled and patted Oliver's shoulder, "thank you son, I almost forgot about the company because of what happen, and if that's what you've decided, then it's okay for me."

Pia looked at her mom and sigh sadly.

"Mom, h-how are they doing now?"

All of them sigh when they heard what Pia asked to Mae.

"I-I don't know honey, but one thing is for sure, they are Alive and both will come back to us again."

The doorbell suddenly rung and Jin was the one who checked and opened it, but he rolled his eyes when he saw the senior captain, leader of rescue team and the ship's captain."

"Come in," Jin said plainly.

The three man sigh but still got inside.

Now all of them is now in the living room.

"Sir Lucas, the rescue operation will be postpone and will start in the next 4 days," the senior captain said and Pia and the others just want to punch his as the way he talks, he acts like he is the superior.

"What! How can this be?!"

"Sir, did you watched the television? Busan will experience typhoon, people we're informed earlier, it was said this will be not the same typhoon happened five months ago but it is more better if we stay indoor," the captain said.

Lucas slammed his fist on the table.

"Why is this happening?!"

Mae instantly hugged his husband, yeah, why is this happening, it really seems like they we're punished, first they lost Dawin and Alice and next second, there was also a typhoon, so it means rescuing Dawin and Alice will somehow be postpone.

"Please find my daughter!" Jia suddenly said, she was just quiet all along but in the thought of her daughter who is in danger right now, makes her want to scream.

"Mom, we'll find Alice and Dawin, okay?" Jeremy speaks, he is older than Alice and he should also comfort her mother instead of crying his a*s off.

It was now dark and Alice and Dawin is in the sea side, waiting for someone to rescue them, even though it's peaceful here, they still need to go back in Seoul, Dawin is busy and he still have pending works and deals and Alice, she is worrying about her family and of course his son.

"Dawin?"

"Yes?"

"When will we get back? I want to go home to my son, it's not like I don't like it here, heck I love this place but this isn't right, the both of us know there is our family waiting for us in seoul, I don't know when will they rescue us."

Dawin sigh and went near Alice.

"Don't worry someone will find us, and luckily we we're trap in your island cause if not and we go to another island we will be more in danger as we don't have shelter, so for now let's thank the above as he gave us the direction for this island."

"Yeah, yeah, your right," Alice says while rolling her eyes.

"Did you just rolled your eyes to me?" Dawin said while glaring at her.

Alice smirk and rolled her eyes again, but now in front of Dawin who gasp and suddenly tickled her.

"No! No! Stop! I'm sorry okay?!" Alice keep laughing but she wiggle out from Dawin hold and instantly run.

"You! Brat! Come here! I'm older than you, but you rolled your eyes right in front of me?!"

Alice poke her tongue out and adorably giggle.

Dawin halts when he saw Alice's face, Dawin wouldn't deny but Alice is really beautiful like she's ethereal, Dawin was just staring at her, as Alice was still busy making cute faces.

Dawin was out from his thoughts when suddenly Alice splashed water to him.

His eyes comically widen and looked at her, "Ah! You want this then come on!"

Dawin run to her and carry her instantly, Alice was so shocked especially when Dawin throw her at the water.

"Your younger than me so I can throw you right," Dawin said while smirking.

Alice gulped when she saw Dawin smirking.

'Hot.'

Her eyes widen when she realize what she thought.

"Stupid," she whispered.

She stand up and run to Dawin, Dawin was late to react when Alice drag her going to the sea again and before both could process Alice suddenly trips and instantly Dawin hold her waist and both fall to the water.

But both wasn't bothered by that, what bother them the most is how they stared deep into each other's eyes.

Dawin was still holding Alice's waist tightly while Alice was holding Dawin's shoulder.

Black orbs staring deep to an hazel brown eyes. Alice heart beat was pumping fastly, it really looks like it'll explode any moment, while Dawim didn't understand how Alice was always making him doubt in his plan, the Alice he was holding right now was the same Alice he kissed and really cherish before.

Alice suddenly cough and Dawin hurriedly place her properly.

"Um, let's go?" Alice awkwardly said.

"Yeah, yeah," Dawin replied while scratching his nape.

Both didn't talk going to the house but the silence was not also uncomfortable at all.

It really looks like faith is playing with them.

South Korea is now on chaos, Oliver who is in seoul is now stressed as hell, well wouldn't be when someone linked the media that the famous CEO Dawin Marquez along with his wife Actress and Model AC is both went missing.

Many reporters are outside the building and the guards we're trying their best to let them go away, but as usual media never listens, that's why Oliver had enough and from his office he went to the ground floor.

The employees who saw Oliver became scared as the man who usually is cheerful is walking in the lobby with an angry face.

When the media saw Oliver the volume of their voices rise up, expecting Oliver to answer their questions but they we're shock when Oliver talked.

"If you will not go away in five seconds, then see you all in the court!" Oliver voice's boomed all over the place.

The reporters hurriedly run, while the security sigh as they we're tired on holding the reporters so they can't come inside.

Oliver looked at the guards and sigh, he went to his pocket and grab the company's card.

He called a security which is a good friend of him.

"Yes sir?"

"Here take this, order food online and deliver it here, eat as many as you all can, I know your all tired."

The tired faces of the security where changed by a happy faces.

"Thank you sir!" All of them speaks in unison.

Oliver smiled a little to them and bowed and went to the elevator to go back in his office.

Oliver called Lucas through phone and luckily Lucas answered it after few rings.

"Yes son?"

"Uncle, how did the public knows about Dawin and Alice who went missing? There we're so many reporters here earlier who wants us to talk but I didn't."

"That's good son, we can't still give a good statement in the media, especially now that we still didn't have any clue where Alice and Dawin are, and I'm really stressed as the typhoon is still here in South, where Busan is included.

Luckily it was not strong as what happened months ago, but still we can't travel in the sea as it'll be dangerous."

Oliver looked at the ceiling and sigh, why is this all happening?

It was now day two in the island we're Alice and Dawin was. It was early in the morning and Dawin woke up first, when he noticed Alice still didn't go out in her room, he decided to cook breakfast for the both of them.

After preparing the break fast for thirty minutes Dawin decided to wake up Alice so they can eat together.

Dawin believes that eating alone in someone's else house is disrespectful but who would tell him that Alice will never be someone.

When he knocked to the door for many times, he wondered why Alice still didn't open the door because as long as he knows Alice is definetly not a heavy sleeper.

He decided to open the door to witness Alice is still sleeping.

He sigh and went near her.

"Alice?"

Alice didn't respond so Dawin sat beside her and hold her cheeks.

But he flinched when he felt Alice's cheek is burning hot.

"s**t, you have a fever Alice!" He accidentally high his voice that's why Alice opened her eyes a little.

"Hmm, win, it's cold," she whispers.

Dawin went to the kitchen and grab a bowl with water.

He goes back to Alice's room and went to her closet to grab a small white towel.

When Dawin was done, he sits beside Alice and started to wipe Alice's forehead, arms, and neck. He kept doing it until he felt Alice body temperature was not hot as earlier.

"Alice, you need to eat so you can take medicine after for your fever."

Alice weakly shook her head, "no, don't wanna."

Alice felt cold and she doesn't have any appetite to eat anything, she rather wants to sleep.

Dawin sigh and cupped her cheeks.

"You need to eat, Alice or else your fever won't be gone. I already made a soup earlier as I thought you'll join me for breakfast but guess I'm eating all alone later."

Alice widen her eyes lightly and now she feels guilty, so it means Dawin prepared breakfast for the both of them but because of Alice's fever it was wasted.

Alice comes an idea in her mind.

"Win?"

Dawin nods and gestured her to continue.

"I'll only eat the soup if you will also bring the foods that you have cooked earlier so we can eat together."

Dawin smiled, and also agreed to Alice's idea.

"Of course," Dawin said and unconsciously kissed Alice's forehead.

Alice who is still laying in the bed comically widen her eyes.

While Dawin seems didn't mind what he did just a while ago and now he stands up.

"Wait here, I'll go get the food."

After an hour, Alice and Dawin was already done eating their breakfast.

Dawin fed Alice as Alice was truthfully doesn't have any appetite and Dawin was just feeding her slowly so after she will be full she will take her medicine.
