Chapter 18

It was now Day three of Alice and Dawin being stuck in the island and now it was a peaceful afternoon, and fortunately Alice's fever have died down and now Alice is in the sea side again, waiting for the rescuers.

Dawin is in the house, he decided to clean the house because it was a boring afternoon for him.

Alice decided to go back in the house to get something.

When she entered the house she was shock internally to saw Dawin mopping the floor.

"Dawin why are you cleaning?"

Dawin faced her and looked at her if she had grown two heads.

"Of course I'll clean, I'm staying here so I should clean and also it was a boring afternoon for me so why not clean."

Alice scoffs.

"Your really making me feel like I'm the laziest one here."

Dawin grins, "Actually your really like that."

Alice rolled her eyes and went to the storage to get a red rope and a scissor.

"What will you going to do?" Dawin asks curiously.

Alice sighed and replied, "I'm planning to put a sign in the seaside, you know the 'SOS'?"

Dawim nods, "of course I know that and that's a good idea actually."

After Alice was done on getting the things she needed she goes back to the seaside and started her work, lucky for her and it was not sunny, it was more a gloomy afternoon and she thought there will be a rain evening later.

Dawin was done on cleaning the living room and kitchen and he decided to go to Alice and check her.

Even though Alice owns this island, Dawin is still not okay to let Alice roam by herself even though there is no other human here, there is still animals and he doesn't know if some will be dangerous so it was better to still check on Alice.

When he got to the seaside he saw Alice struggling on something and when he looked at it he saw Alice trying to bend the stick so it'll be formed to letter 'O'.

"Why don't form it in to a square, it can be also used as letter O," Dawin speaks.

"Yeah, I didn't think that. Great idea," Alice retorted.

Dawin scoffs and shook his head. Like really she is sometimes not using her brain in full capacity.

Dawin decided to help Alice so it'll be done quickly as he noticed it'll rain anytime soon.

After they we're done making the 'SOS' sign, Dawin grab the things Alice used to make the sign.

"Alice let's go, the rain is starting and you have just heal from your fever."

Alice smiled at him teasingly, "No, I'm staying here, it's been a while I stood in the rain without any umbrella."

Dawin widen his eyes.

"Alice?! Are you crazy, your fever just died, do you want it to come back again and it'll make you weak?"

"That won't happen, I know, this happened to me when I was still young and it's okay. Well do you want to join? Come here!"

Alice grabbed Dawin as Dawin was standing under the tree so he won't be wet in rain but it'll looks like it'll be useless as Alice have already grab him.

Alice laugh loudly when Dawin scrunched his nose when he felt the cold liquid started to drip on to his skin.

"Alice I'm telling you, you'll catch fever again after this and if that happens then I won't take care of you anymore."

Alice poke her tongue out.

"That won't happen and in case I'll be having a fever again, I know you will take care of me."

Dawin just sigh, after all Alice is right if ever something will happen to Alice, Dawin will always tale care of her, even though he's cold outside but inside Alice's safety will be always his first priority.

Alice went near the sea and started to splash water going to Dawin and Dawin sigh because this happens again, like can Alice be more childish?

Both played unfer the heavy rain but both didn't care as they want to cherish this precious moment because both knows that if they are back in Seoul everything will be same as before.

A new day has come and now it's the fourth day Alice and Dawin to be still stuck here in the island.

Today both planned to eat lunch in the lake Alice mentioned before.

They ready the things they will bring to the lake and put it into an basket.

Alice is incharge of the rice, junkfoods and drinks while Dawin was incharge of their dishes they will eat, he was also the one who cooked it.

Dawin cooked carbonara, fried chicken, beef steak and mami noodles.

Luckily all the ingredients we're obviously available in Alice's pantry.

They woke up early in the morning to cook the foods and Alice also helped Dawin in slicing the ingredients.

They obviously cooked many dishes but they don't care as the food Dawin cooked is Alice and Dawin's favorites.

Both of them are done in preparing everything and Alice also changed and she bring some clothes for the both of them incase they will bath in the lake.

"Alice you ready?" Dawin shouted from the kitchen as he was busy cleaning the mess he made from cooking.

"Yeah! Tell me when your done," Alice retorted from the room.

After twenty minutes both are now walking going to the lake, Alice was holding a backpack meanwhile Dawin was the one who is holding the basket.

"Are we near already?" Dawin asks curiously.

Alice sigh as this was the hundred time Dawin ask her this.

"Yeah, yeah we're almost there so shut up already," Alice said iritatedly.

Dawin instanly shut his mouth as he doesn't want an angry Alice beside him.

Finally both arrive in the lake and Dawin looked at it in awe, it was so enchanting and relaxing.

"This is beautiful," Dawin said while still busy admiring the view infront him.

"Yeah just like the owner of this island," Alice sassily said.

Dawin didn't understood it at first but when he did, he scoffs and made a funny face infront of Alice who just rolled her eyes and poke her tongue out.

Alice sat down in the mat she prepared and started to prepare the food.

"Alice what if the rescuers will be in the seaside?"

"And they saw the sign 'SOS'? Then of course they will know we are here and if they didn't saw us in the seaside, they will come inside the forest or roam the whole island and of course we will hear their voices as I know they will shout our name because they want to find us."

Dawin stood there dumbfounded, is Alice okay? Why is she like this, she was like a predictionist.

Dawin just nodded his head in return, as he was not planning to answer Alice or else she will diss him again.

Dawin sat down and grab the plate, spoon and fork and gave Alice also. Both started eating and both enjoyed the food so much.

"You really are a good cook Dawin," Alice said while still busy munching on the fried chicken.

Dawin scoffs and replied, "yeah and you are really good in preparing the junkfoods."

Alice looked at him and pointed the chicken bone in front of him.

"You have no any rights to insult my favorite junkfoods."

"Yeah, yeah."

"By the way, why did you became a celebrity?" Dawin asks out of the blue.

"Hmm, maybe because I want it? You know acting in televisions really amaze me."

'I know that,' Dawin thought.

" I tried my really best and now I finally became a superstar and the name AC it was like a magic and me Alice was the one who had that magic and the magic resulted me to be here, a global phenomenon artist."

Dawin looked at her proudly, this was it, Alice's dream before, she wanted to be an artist while Dawin wants photography but Dawin is an heir and things didn't go as it was planned.

"You did well Ali," Dawin blurted out.

While Alice froze in her actions. This was it, after 5 years Dawin finally called Alice again the nickname only him used to Alice.

"W-what?"

Dawin looked at her and shrugged, he suddenly stands up and stretch his body.

"Let's go, ket's take a bath in the lake," he went near the lake and started to dip his body in the water, he was just wearing a white tshirt and a shorts and Alice was the one who bring the extra clothes.

Alice was still in dase, well she should be, after years, Dawin called her Ali again and it makes Alice felt the same butterflies she felt in her tummy she used to feel before.

But Alice knows she should not get her hopes to high because she knows when both will go back to seoul, Dawin will act like a jerk again, the Dawin who always reminds her the things she did years ago.

And for now Alice wants to cherish this moments as she doesn't know when will this happen again.

"Alice!" Alice was broke in her trance when Dawin shouted his name.

"Stop eating and enjoy the warm water!" He shouted. Alice smiled and nodded.

She was also wearing a black shirt and black shorts that why she immediately swam to the water.

Both we're smiling like a fools and Alice keeps talking nonsense but Dawin was there to listen to her without complaining as he was also busy admiring the beauty infront him and that was Alice who looks so beautiful with her bareface.

Dawin can't deny that even Alice didn't wear any make up, she is still beautiful as ever and no one can deny that especially Dawin.

"Dawin, I'll tell you a secret okay?" Dawin became tense at that because he thought Alice will finally tell him but to his dismay,

"There is this actress with me in a shoot, she was so mean that she keeps scolding the staff and crew, all of them wants to cry in dismay as even though they didn't do anything wrong she still keeps scolding them, and she was feeling so high as I said she was an actress so me Alice, the one and only, secretly put a one pack of chili pepper in her strawberry shake,

Of course it won't be notice as it was almost the same color and after that she drank the whole cup of the shake but after seconds her face turned completely red and she was screaming, stating that it was so spicy.

And I'm at my dressing room, laughing my a*s off like it was so funny and she really deserves it especially with the mouth of hers.

She really can't take the spiciness to the staff unwillinly brought her to the hospital."

Alice was giggling the whole time as she was narrating her little secret.

While Dawin? He was staring dumbfoundly to Alice. She really thinks it's funny? Though the said actress deserve it but the way Aluce talked a while ago she was really like the good villain in the drama.

"Your out of this world," Dawin said truthfully.

Alice laugh and decided to get back in the mat as she was tired in swimming in the lake.

After an hour of talking, both decided to go back in house. Alice and Dawin didn't change their clothes as both we're lazy and they decided they will change their clothes when they will arrive in the house so after that they will sleep, cause again, both we're tired.

It is now 4.30 in the afternoon and it was raining heavily. Pia is sitting in the dining area while sipping her tea, for the past few days she keeps drinking tea as she was so stressed about the happenings around her.

In night she would always worry about her brother and sister in law.

Pia was so deep in her thoughts that she didn't notice the door bell keep ringing.

"Pia, can you check the door?" Lisa shouted from upstairs. Lucas and Mae is in their room, while Lisa who heard the doorbell is in her room also, while Jin is in the grocery store.

Pia heard Lisa and hurriedly got up from her chair and went to the main door.

"Who is it?" Pia opened the door to be met by a man who is smiling at her politely.

"Um? Do I know you?" Pia confusingly asks the stranger infront of him.

"Good afternoon Mam Pia, I am Seb Castro the secretary of Sir Dawin and I'm here to ask for an update about him and also his wife, Miss Alice."

'how come a secretary can be this handsome?!' Pia thought internally.

Lisa went downstairs to check the person who rang the doorbell but she smiled when he saw Seb talking to Pia.

But she furrowed her eyebrows when he saw Pia was just shamelessly staring at Seb.

"Seb! How come your here?!" Lisa asks while smiling.

"Oh, Lisa I'm here cause Sir Oliver sent me here as I will help you on finding Sir Dawin and Ms. Alice."

Lisa nods in understanding but she still saw Pia staring at Seb and Seb was now looking at the ground akwardly.

Lisa rolled her eyes and pinched Pia's waist.

"Aw! What the hell?!" Now Pia realize what she did and she smiled akwardly.

"Um, come in! I'm sorry," Pia laugh akwardly after that.

Lisa was just watching her boringly, cause she knows Pia is interested into Seb. Well she knows Pia since childhood and she knows the way Pia acts when she is interested into someone.

"By the Seb, you could just come here when the rain stops, well did you perhaps bring your car?" Lisa asks worriedly as outside was raining hard and maybe she though Seb might went here through commute.

"No Lisa I brought my car here, and I also used it as my vehicle from Seoul to here, Busan." Lisa nods.

"Seb, why don't you sit in the couch and I'll bring you something to eat, well what do you want to eat?" Pia asks.

"Mam Pia, just water please, I've already ate in the hotel and then I straightly went here after that."

Pia nods and went to the kitchen to get a water. Lisa sat beside Seb and decided to ask about her husband.

"Well how is my husband?"

"Oh, Oliver is doing good, actually the media went to the company luckily Oliver handled them, but I also can sense Oliver is stressed, well who wouldn't be, the investors in the company wanted to meet Sir Dawin personally."

Lisa sigh and leaned to the couch.

"Yeah, Tomorrow the rescue operation will start. Later maybe midnight I guess? The typhoon will not be here in busan anymore as it will travel north west."

Pia is now back in the living room and gave Seb the water.

"Pia, Seb I'll go to the room hm? I need to check on some files," Lisa said apollogetically as she still needs to check the files her business needs to deal off.

Seb nodded understanding while Pia just nods.

"So Seb what do you want to know?"

"Mam Pia can I come with rescuers tomorrow to search Sir Dawin and Mam Alice?" Pia looked him confusingly.

"Why though?"

"Sir Dawin, I looked at him as not just my boss by also my older brother, he helped me alot and of course in return I also want Sir Dawin to be safe."

Pia smiled at him, "hm, well thank you for caring about my brother, I know you know that he is sometimes hot tempered but over all, I'm still lucky as I have him as my brother. And if you want to help for tomorrow search, then you can, also me and Jeremy, which is Alice's brother will also come tomorrow."

Seb nods and unwillingly a silence surrounds them, not until Pia wanted to asks something.

"Seb, not that I'm rude, but perhaps can you tell me what happened to Dawin's previous secretary?"

"No, it's okay Mam, and about Sir Dawin's previous secretary, she needs to go back in her hometown in Ilsan cause her father is sick and no one will take over in their business."

Pia nods, "oh really? So how come your Dawin's secretary now? Sorry I keep asking things, I just really became curious you know."

"Oh about that, I applied personally to Sir Dawin and maybe he saw a potential in me and I was also shocked when he hired me immediately without thinking twice."

Pia laughs, "My brother Seb, he doesn't need to think twice on making decisions, he is always confident on the first decision he would always make."

"Yes actually I also notice that to Sir Dawin and I was really amaze about him."

Both talked for some minutes until Seb needs to go back in the hotel cause he still needs to call some investors. Pia agreed and both bid goodbyes to each other, also leaving Pia still in awe in Seb's existence.

Day five, and now Alice is in the living room early in the morning, pacing back and fourth while Dawin is busy on sipping on his black coffee.

"Win?! Are you just gonna drink coffee, when you know it's been the fifth day where here in this island but still no one still finds us?!"

"Yeah I'm worried so that's why I'm drinking coffee."

Alice looked at him dumbfounded.

"Really, coffee?--"

Alice didn't finish her sentence when she saw Dawin staring at her while staring.

And that's when Alice remembered 5 years ago on how Dawin sometimes drinks coffee when he is stressed about academics and Alice just let him be but she also helps Dawin when he is troubled on something.

"I'm sorry, I forgot, but yeah, drink your coffee now."

Dawin just shrugged and continued to sip on his coffee but deep inside he was just the same as Alice, he was also worried on why no one still finds them.

Meanwhile in Busan, specifically in Marquez Mansion, Brian is playing with Pia in the living room, all of them are present there except Oliver.

"Mumma? Dadda?" Brian cutely asks.

Jia sigh sadly, "he's been like that since the day Dawin and Alice went missing, he kept asking me but what would I answer."

Mae and Lucas sigh while looking at their grandchild, yes grandchild, they treat Brian as their grandson even though they are not blood related but that won't stop them on loving Brian.

"Mom, dad, we're going now," Pia said while getting up in the couch.

Jeremy and Pia will go with the rescuers while cassy and the others will stay in the mansion and will just wait for the updates.

Both bid goodbyes and drove off to the port as that is where the rescue team where waiting. Seb was already there as he didn't come to the mansion anymore as it will take more time.

After half and hour, Pia and Jeremy arrived in the Port and they instantly saw the rescuers and Pia eyes instantly lit up when her eyes landed on Seb who is wearing a white fitted polo and a black shorts, paired of course with an black shades.

"Why does he looks so good as always?" Pia mumbles, but unfortunately Jeremy heard it.

"You like Seb?"Jeremy whispers near Pia's ear.

"What the?! Je, how come you know Seb?"

"Cause I saw him in Seoul before."

Pia pouts, "how come I didn't meet him before though?"

Jeremy shrugs and scolded Pia, as he said for now what matters is to find Dawin and Alice.

Time skip.

Now all of them are now in the boat, ready to start the rescue operation.

"So let's go?" The captain asks. He decided to come with them as he was also guilty about the disappearance of Dawin and Alice and helping would be a little pay off.

All of them nodded and their operation on finding Mr. And Mrs. Marquez had already begun.
