Chapter 20

All of them finally arrived in the port and Alice didn't almost talk in the whole time, Dawin on the other hand was busy talking to Seb as he wants to know how's the company doing right now.

"Alice?" Alice looked behind her to see the captain on the ship.

"Oh are you the captain right?" Alice asks.

"Yeah, yeah, and I really want to say sorry for what happened, I tried my best to go out and find the both of you but I really can't at that time as you may know the doors were covered by some things that was caused by the strong air, If I really force to open the door maybe you will not be in danger--"

The captain keeps blabbering and Alice really felt the sincere apology the captain conveys.

"Sir, it's okay, me and Dawin already forgave you, and it was also not your fault, the storm surge happen and we can't go against the mother nature. And also thank you for helping on finding us even though we are not your responsibility."

"No, no I really insisted from the start that I should help on finding you."

Alice thanked the captain and also bid goodbye to him, she decided to go to the car and wait for them. She was just tired and she wants to go back in Seoul.

Pia walks towards her and smile.

"Alice, the authorities wanted to interview you and Dawin about what happen if you don't mind? And Dawin was done talking to them."

Alice smiled tiredly and shook her head.

"Pia maybe they can use Dawin's statement only, I don't want to talk to anyone right now and I also don't want to remember what happened seven days ago."

Pia looked her in concerned and hold her shoulders. "Are you okay?" Alice nodded her head and said she was just tired.

"And also Pia please call Je, tell him to open the car as I don't have the keys."

Pia nodded and went to the hall we're others can be find.

Alice, Dawin, Pia and Jeremy is now heading to the Mansion Jeremy was the one who is driving w hile Alice was beside him.

Pia and Dawin is in the backseat. Seb was also following them as he still needs to talk to Dawin about the business matter.

Jeremy was thinking internally on why Alice seemed so quite like he can really count the words Alice speaks.

Pia was busy talking to Dawin at the back but Dawin from time to time looks at Alice.

Well he still needs to talk to Alice but it seems like it won't happen anytime now as Alice was ignoring him completely.

Does the kiss really was sinful that Alice can't talk and looked at him like before the incident happened?

When they reached the Mansion, Pia was the first one to step down from the car, followed by Alice and Dawin. Jeremy parked the car first same as Seb.

When Pia opened the door, Alice and Dawin was immediately engulfed by a hug by Mae and Jia.

Alice just smiled as well as Dawin, both mothers was confusingly looking at them but decided to shrug it off as maybe both we're tired from what happened to them.

Lucas, Cassy, and Lisa hugged the both of them. And Alice was looking everywhere except them.

"Looking for Brian?" Jia asks.

Alice eagerly nods and Jia nodded and went upstairs to bring Brian down.

After a while, Brian was in the hold of Jia and when he saw his Mumma and Dadda, he started to squeal loudly.

"Mumma! Dadda!" Brian was wiggling from his grand mother's hold and Alice suddenly teared up when she saw her son, who was so eager to see them after seven days.

Dawin just smiled and keep his distance away from Alice. Pia who is just behind them noticed it instantly and decided to ask the both of them later.

Well Pia didn't notice on her back, was Seb who also notice the way Dawin kept his distance from Alice.

Brian was so happy to see his parents again after one week of always asking the people around him about the whereabouts of his mumma and dadda.

"My baby, you miss mumma that much hm?" Alice said softly, her smile is still evident on her face, the people around her smile.

Brian who even though doesn't understand anything still nods as he was still excited to see his mumma and dadda.

"Dadda?" Brian asks while now looking at Dawin.

Dawin smiled but didn't do anything, scared he will trigger Alice if he did.

Brian open his arms towards Dawin and Alice have left no choice but to give Brian to his dadda.

Alice was about to go upstairs when she remembered something.

"Mom?" She asks referring to Mae.

"Yes honey?"

"Can I go home to Seoul later evening? I'll bring Brian with me also."

All of them stopped what ever they were doing and looked at Alice dumbfounded.

"Why, don't you like it here, don't you wanna stay here for a while?" Lucas asks confusingly.

"No dad, it's not that, but I wanna go home."

Lucas just nodded but there is Mae and Jia and now both we're sure that something bad happened in the island.

Both looked at each other and nodded their heads in unison.

All this time Dawin didn't said anything, well if Alice will go back later, than maybe he will come to as he decided to go back in work immediately as Seb told him earlier there is something urgent in company matters.

"Dad, if Alice will go back later with Brian, then I'm come along, I still have many paper works to continue, and I don't want oliver to be on something that doesn't include his work."

Lucas was now looking at the couple confusingly but he just nods and decided not to ask many questions.

It was finally evening and Alice, Dawin and the others are now in the Airport, they decided to go back in Seoul altogether. Meanwhile Seb didn't come with them but he also left Busan using his car.

They are now in the VIP room, this is used for the people who have their own private plane and doesn't use the airlines provided.

Alice was just silent all the time, she only talks when she was ask or when Brian whines for something or his mumma's attention.

Dawin was in his laptop, well Seb gave it to him earlier as Seb brought it from Seoul, just incase.

He was busy checking his emails as he received alot. Seb didn't open it when he was still keeping the laptop as the laptop have password that Dawin only knows.

After 20 minutes of waiting finally the private plane had already arrived and all of them proceed to the said chopper.

Alice sits on the very back side of the plane of course with Brian clinging into her.

Both Dawin and Alice didn't have their phones as obviously they lost in the ship but they didn't care as they will buy a new one maybe tomorrow.

The plane is now flying and all of them is resting while Pia was busy in her thoughts. When she can't take it anymore she stands up and went to Alice who is busy staring to the window and was admiring the night sky.

"Alice?"

Alice looked to the side and saw Pia, she confusingly smiled and gestured her to sit as Brian was in her lap.

"Pia? You need something?"

"Yeah, I wanna ask you something? If it's okay with you?"

Alice was hesitant as first but she nonetheless nods.

"What's wrong Alice?"

"Huh? What's wrong?" But she instantly looked at Pia and her eyes widen.

"You noticed it so easily right?"

Pia nods and she holds Alice's hand.

"What happened in the island?" She whispers as she knows someone will hear it.

Alice stared at her and sigh, she doesn't want to talk about it right now, especially she is holding Brian who is sleeping peacefully in her hold.

"I'm sorry Pia but I can't tell you, for now. Things didn't go as I wanted and eventually it became a big mistake."

"Mistake? But really if you don't want to talk about it then it's okay, it's your decision after all, but Alice, remember I'm always here. If you need someone I'm always here."

Alice smiled at her and thanked her for understanding her so easily. Pia goes back to her sit and Alice stared at his son lovingly. Without noticing the pair of eyes staring at her intensely.

After 40 minutes, finally they arrived in Seoul. Lucas and Mae was the first one to leave as they said something came up from their house.

Pia was the next to leave as she was tired and decided to go to her condo tonight and not in her parents house.

Jia, Jeremy and Cassy left together as Jeremy and Jia will drop Cassy in her apartment.

Cassy and Alice bud goodbyes to each other and Cassy said the media wants her to release a press conference about her sudden disappearance, Alice nodded but she said not this week as she wants to rest for a while.

Now Dawin and Alice and Brian was still in the Airport, well they are waiting for there driver to fetch them but both know it'll take a while as their house is a little bit far from the airport.

Dawin was standing beside Alice while Alice was just in her poker face. Brian woke up earlier and now he was in Dawin's hold.

Before Dawin could ask something to Alice, both heard a car horn and Alice was glad that their driver had already arrived. She was just so tired that all she wanted was to sleep.

After they arrived in their house, Brian slept again and his nanny was the one who carry him towards his own room, Alice goes straightly to her room after greeting the maids who was happy so their bosses again after a week.

When Alice entered her room, she sigh in relief and sniff the air in her room, she miss this, she miss her home, this room, the smell surrounds the room screams Alice, as she uses a humidifier and scented it with her favorite perfume.

She changed her clothes and lay in her bed and after some minutes of staring at the ceiling, she fell asleep.

Dawin was the opposite though, after he entered his room, he took a shower and change his clothes and after that he went to the kitchen downstairs to eat something. And after that he goes back to his room and open his laptop and started answering the emails he got for the past seven days.

Workaholic right?

Well he needs to or else some new investors will back out if Dawin will not do anything regarding to their matter.

They want the boss's focus solely on them, but Dawin can't do that easily when he have a lots of pending work, luckily he have Seb and Oliver who helps him as always. Jin also helps but only sometimes as he was also busy handling his restaurant.

It was already 12 a.m and Dawin was tired already so he decided to sleep now and tomorrow early in the morning he will go back to the company and will work again.

It is now May 1, new month, new day, new morning.

Dawin woke up early before his alarm clock could ring. He did his morning routine and went to the dining are afterwards, he was confused when he didn't saw Alice in the kitchen so he ask their maid.

"Where is Alice?"

"Oh sir, mam is still sleeping, she message me in cellphone yesterday night that she will not go to work."

Dawin nodded and started eating his breakfast, but his thoughts was not with him right now, rather it was on the specific women sleeping peacefully right now on her room.

As long as he knows Alice loves her work, so how come all of the sudden she doesn't want to? But Dawin thought maybe Alice was just really tired to go for work after the day they were found.

But Dawin doesn't mind that, working just after they were found in an island. Work is work for him, no excuses needed for him, if he needs to work then he will work.

When he arrived in the company the employees were so glad to see him again as working on a company without any boss is really hard, well that's what they said.

When the media comes to know that the Young CEO is back in the company, they go hurriedly to the MQ Incorporation but unfortunately same as before, they were stopped by the guards.

Well Dawin ordered them earlier that he doesn't want any interruption for now as he will focus on work and he will release an official statement to the media about his disappearance, but he will not personally talk to the media because he doesn't want it.

He started his work, while Oliver was glad to see him again, both hugged each other and Oliver fakely rolled his eyes and said finally the Boss is here and his paperworks will lessen.

Dawin was focused in to his work all day long and it was now 5 pm and he decided to continue his work at home because even though he is a workaholic boss, right now he have a son already and he knows Brian is finding him at home as Dawin didn't bid goodbye to him earlier as he was still sleeping just like his mom.

When Dawin got home, he was greeted by Brian who is crawling towards him while giggling.

Dawin's tiredness and stress vanish in an instant when he saw Brian. Brian really brighten up his day, even if it was worse than worse.

Brian was giggling happily and Dawin instantly picked up him.

"Where is Alice?" Dawin asks the nanny of Brian.

"She is in the room sir."

Dawin nodded and carry Brian towards the kitchen, he saw the foods ready already.

He called the maid and ordered her to call Alice in the room, but he furrowed his eyebrows when the maid came back and said to him that Alice didn't want to eat.

Dawin was confused, why is she like that? What's happening to her? Just because of the kiss? So she's not eating, avoiding Alice doesn't want to work just because of the kiss?

He closed his eyes but open it instantly when he heard Brian bubbling while sitting in his high chair, he smiled and started eating, remembering he still have works to do.

After eating, he spend time with Brian for a while and when he noticed Brian was tired, he called the nanny and informed her to bring Brian in his room and let him sleep as he was tired already.

He goes upstairs and when he was going to twist his doorknob his eyes landed on Alice's room.

He sigh and decided to check on her, when he knocked he heard Alice walking towards the door and Alice opened it, her eyes widen when she saw Dawin, but she closed her door but Dawin was fast enough to stop it.

"What's wrong with you huh? Why won't you eat, your avoiding me and you didn't go to work earlier."

"Dawin, please I'm tired and I didn't go to work, of course the media will nag at me again and I don't want that as I'm tired. So please."

Dawin sigh and nodded his head, he goes back to his room, not forgetting to tell Alice that she needs to eat first.

11.30 p.m.

Dawin was still working while Alice get up from her bed while her hands were holding the wall for support, she decided to drink water downstairs and maybe eat something.

She really feels something is wrong with her and she decided she will drink medicine after she's done eating.

She holds her head when a sudden head ache hits her and her stomach also was paining.

When she was already downstairs she hurriedly drank water, when she was done she was about to out it into the table when a severe head ache hit her again.

She drop the glass resulting for it to break in thousand Peaces.

Dawin on the other hand heard the noise so he sat up straight but he stand up immediately when he heard Alice calling his name while shouting.

"Dawin! Win!"

He ran downstairs and his eyes widen when he saw Alice near the counter clutching her head tightly.

"Alice!" He ran near her and hold her instanly in his arms.

"Win, take it away please! It hurts! My head!"

Dawin instantly shouted and called the maids. Within second the maids went to them while in shock.

"Ahh!" Alice was groaning in pain and the maids widen her eyes.

"Please get my car keys in my room please!" Dawin was rattle and the maid hurriedly ran to the room.

The nanny of Brian goes out from the room and ask what happened.

"Please take care of Brian I need to bring Alice in the hospital."

Alice was crying and Dawin looked at her worriedly.

"Love where does it hurts, tell me!"

"My h-head and s-stomach."

Dawin carried Alice bridal style and went to the garage. He out Alice in the passenger seat and he goes to the driver seat.

"Win! It hurts!" Alice while crying keeps hitting her head as she thought it'll take the pain away which obviously didn't.

Dawin was over speeding but he didn't care, what matter is Alice who was going to pass out because of pain.

"Alice!"
