Chapter 9

Dawin then decided to just close his eyes because he is also tired as he was so busy yesterday and he is lacking from sleep.

Without knowing someone took a picture of him while sleeping.

Alice, Dawin and the rest of the group had already arrived in Boracay, Philippines.

They we're all exhausted from the long flight and the heat of the sun adds more from there exhaustion.

They are now in the port, they just needed to wait to their transportation who is now still late.

Dawin noticed Alice who is now sitting on her luggage while fanning herself.

"Derek, why is the shuttle still not here, we pay already yet their service is lacking," Dawin said.

The staff named Derek became anxious because he knows Dawin is already irritated.

But before he could reply a private shuttle arrived in front of them and they all sighed in relief.

A man gets off the bus and smile to them.

The said man is a Filipino that's why he is forced to speak in english.

"We're so sorry from the inconvenience sir, but our shuttle had a problem earlier that's why we are late."

Dawin just sighed and says.

"It's okay atleast your here already," he gestured his team to hop on the shuttle already.

"I'm really thirsty cassy."

Dawin heard Alice on the back whining to Cassy because she is now thirsty.

When they all hop on the shuttle except Dawin who is the last one, he saw Alice who just step on the shuttle, so he immediately put his extra bottle on her mini backpack.

Thankfully Alice didn't notice the change of weight on her bag.

When they all seated already, Dawin heard Cassy scold Alice.

"You keep whining earlier, but you have your own water already, look at your bag brat."

"Huh? Who put it in here, as long as I know I never bought water with me."

Cassy just sighed.

"Just be thankful and drink that water already, you know you can't be dehydrated."

After 25 minutes they finally arrived in a luxurious hotel that is located just in front of the beach. They didn't saw the white sand yet because they we're brought at the back entrance of the said hotel.

"Wow... Je take a picture of me please," Alice says, while the other staff had already entered the hotel because all they want right now is to lay down in the bed and sleep.

"Okay pose, 1,2,3."

Both of the sibling didn't notice the man staring at them while smiling a little.

Flashback.

"Yah, Dawin take a picture of me, faster."

Dawin just laughed to Alice nevertheless gets the camera from Alice's hands.

"Okay 1,2,3."

Dawin had taken many shots of Alice and of course Alice was very satisfied from Dawin's shot especially Dawin has a talent for photography.

"Thanks Love," Alice said while pecking Dawin's lips.

End of Flashback.

Dawin just closes his eyes when he remembers the past, because he knows it will never happen again, if he just knows that those memories will be the last then maybe he'll make it more memorable.

Dawin is now in his hotel room arranging his clothes, when he walks going to the balcony of his room, his eyes widen.

There he saw the beautiful beach of Boracay, the white sand that's looks very beautiful. So he decided to go out while bringing his new bought camera because he knows boracay has many beautiful tourist spot.

When he closes his door, he saw Alice who just closes her room door too. That's when their eyes met, both didn't know that their hotel room are just right next to each other.

"Um," Dawin can feel the akward tension going around them so he decided to just Alice.

"We're are you going?"

Alice who is taken back from Dawin's sudden question just smiled a little and said.

"I saw the beach in the balcony so I decided to go out and bring my camera."

Dawin then nods but he halted when he saw the camera Alice has been holding.

It's the same camera years ago, the camera they always use when they go out of town or any vacation day.

He wonders if their pictures before are still on the camera but he just thought, maybe Alice already deleted them.

When Alice noticed Dawin who is now still staring at her camera, she cough that thankfully caught Dawin's attention.

"Oh, sorry. Maybe I should go now."

"Okay."

Then Dawin hurriedly left there afraid he will say something that can make them more akward.

Both of them are now in front of the beach, Dawin is taking some pictures because he knows once they'll go back to Korea it will be hard again to come here especially the wedding and company responsibilities are waiting for him.

Even though they are not here for vacation rather for photo shoot Dawin will still make sure that his camera will capture the beauty in the island.

He was still clicking on his camera and decided to turn his angle on the right side.

He stopped when his camera comes to the sight of Alice walking on to his direction and she's just wearing a black b*a with black shorts.

People around Alice keeps taking pictures and some are murmuring while Alice still doesn't care as she was busy admiring the sea and the white sand in front of her.

Dawin while still admiring Alice from his camera, accidentally clicks the button.

When he hurriedly averted his gaze to the other side he check the photo and he widen his eyes because the photo was so mesmerizing, Alice smiling while her hair was blown by the air.

He decided not to delete the photo, well he doesn't know why but he will surely regret it if he will delete it.

1 day have passed from their encounter and now, the staff, Dawin, Alice, and her brother are now in front of the beach ready for photo shoot.

"Alice go wear this, this will be your outfit for this shoot for now. Now go."

Their are done setting up the cameras when a staff approaches Dawin with an problematic face.

"Sir Dawin, something came up."

Dawin averted his gaze to the staff and motion her to continue.

"The photographer on our team suddenly experienced an stomach ache, the other staff already bring him to the hospital as he cannot take the pain anymore," the staff said while obviously worried.

Dawin sighs because obviously he didn't expect that this will happen. But then he remembers something.

"I'll do it."

The staff seems to be taken back from Dawin but nods nonetheless.

"Oh I forgot you have a talent for taking pictures sir. Thank god our problem is already solved."

Dawin just nods and told the staff to continue their set up.

"So where's the model? Why is she taking so long?" Dawin said while setting up the camera and still oblivious on the whispers made by the staff, but when he looks up he then noticed it, they are all staring at his back.

When he looks back he froze.

Alice was there fixing her robe while she is wearing a red bikini, looking sexy as ever.

Dawin gulps because there is no way he will be taking Alice's picture with her wearing such a sexy bikini.

Don't get him wrong but he can't help but to think some things that shouldn't be think off.

Alice on the other hand doesn't seem to care at all, she was already used on wearing such clothes, when she discovered that Dawin will be the one to take her pictures, she doesn't know why but she is not nervous or anxious at all.

Maybe because in the past few days she had been fasting and working out, by the way when she started on her career on being a celebrity she also started to like working out even if it's day or night.

"Okay, Ac you stand here and take a pose while holding this flower," a staff says while giving Alice a red flower that matches her bikini.

All along while Alice keeps posing professionally, Dawin keeps gulping and Alice also noticed that Dawin tends to drink a lot of water.

The staff and their other companions didn't notice but Alice can see it clearly as a crystal, Dawin is sweating and doesn't have any guts to look at Alice.

The shoot is not that hard all they just needed to wait is when Alice change her clothes or the stylists retouching her face.

Fortunately the shoot had ended already and the pictures Dawin took comes out even great.

Alice then decided to change on her original clothes and just go back to her hotel room as she was tired, she just thought in her mind to stroll around the island tomorrow as also for the next three days they are all free because earlier they decided to finish all the work and just enjoy the island for the rest of the week.

The next day their team decided to try the island hopping, island hopping is where people rides the boat and mostly visit the other small island, or the boats stop on the deeper side of the sea and the people would go snorkeling and for the last part of island hopping is where they would eat different type of filipino dishes most especially sea foods.

Alice decided to just postponed her strolling around the boracay and will just do it on the other day.

They are now all waiting on the sea side, waiting for the both to fetch them.

5 minutes later they saw a big boat coming towards their direction.

They all carefully ride the boat, Alice was the 2nd to the last to ride the boat while she is walking to the small stairs, she suddenly trips the staff gasps because she is going to fall obviously but fortunately Dawin is on her back and catch her hurriedly, Alice was so shocked, but what shocked her the most is the way Dawin was holding her waist tightly that looks like he's scared she will fall.

"Be careful," is all what he said before he gestured Cassy and Jeremy to get Alice.

Cassy and Jeremy just akwardly help Alice to sit, while Dawin was just acting like nothing happened.

The whole ride was loud the staff keeps singing, well Dawin didn't mind because this team is close to him, because when he started being a CEO they were all there to help him.

While the tour guides keep talking and explaining Alice doesn't listen as she was busy taking pictures again.

Well she's unaware of the eyes that is staring at her while smiling a little.

'She still doesn't listen, I know even if the president of this country will be having a speech I know she'll never listen.'

After 30 minutes of visiting the small islands, finally it's time for snorkeling, the other staff had already jump on the deep sea, while Alice was hesitating, as she is scared because she has a phobia of the ocean especially when you watch to the bottom.

Before when they do snorkeling, she always have Dawin but right now, she knows she only have herself.

She watch her assistant talking to other staff while snorkeling and his brother who is now diving.

"Um, excuse me Ma'am do you want to go snorkeling, or is there any other problem?" A girl asked who obviously work as an tourist guide.

"No it's not that but I-I have a phobia, well I want to experience it but I'm scared it'll make me faint," Alice said while laughing, not noticing Dawin who us listening to them and doesn't find Alice's sentence funny.

"We can gui---" the girl didn't finish her sentence when Dawin cuts her off.

"No it's okay miss, I'll be the one who will guide her, right Alice?"

'Alice'

'Alice'

'He called me Alice without any harsh on it.'

Alice thought while getting a little nervous.

"Oh yeah, h-he will come w-with me."

The girl smiled and nodded her head and left afterwards.

"Your still scared, but now come on hold my hand."

"So you never swim in the ocean?" Darwin asks, breaking the silence they have been experiencing.

"I-it's been a long time since I swam in the ocean, I've been busy in my career so that's why," Alice said carefully, scared she will shutter any time now.

"Well when did you last time go snorkeling?" Dawin asks while helping Alice putting the goggles.

"Year 2014."

That's just all Alice said before she carefully jump on the ocean, while Dawin froze. Year 2014, it's the same year when they both spend vacation together while still a couple and that time they were both celebrating their anniversary.

"Dawin?"

Dawin then goes back to reality when Alice called him.

"Yeah, wait a minute."

Everything went well for the both of them, even the staff and Cassy especially Alice's brother Jeremy noticed the way they talked to each other.

Cassy and Jeremy decided to let them be for now but later they will definitely will Asks Alice about the sudden action shown by both.

Alice and Dawin was now back on their respective hotel rooms, dawin decided to take a nap for a while as he was so tired from earlier.

While on the other side Alice was now scrolling on the television searching for a good TV show, while she was seriously looking for channel, her phone suddenly rung that made her jump a bit.

'Je my brother is calling'

Alice answered the call directly while still looking on the TV screen.

"What now Je?" Alice aks, irritated cause she wants some time alone.

"Can we like talk for a while in my room Alice?"

"Huh but why? Do you need something?" Alice asks cause she was confused on why Jeremy suddenly wants to talk to him.

"Just come here."

"Oh okay I got it."

After Alice locked the hotel room, she goes to the elevator and press the next floor as unfortunately Jeremy, Cassy and other staff didn't have the same floor as Alice and Dawin.

When Alice is on the entrance door of Jeremy's room, she first knock.

'Manners as they say.' She thought.

The door opened revealing a Cassy who is holding a remote control.

"Oh your here, come in," she saud gesturing Alice to come inside.

While Alice on the other was making a face like 'why the hell is she here on my brother's room?' look.

"Okay why the hell are you here?"

"Because we will interview you," jeremy said casually.

"A w-what?"

"Interview girl, interview."

"About what?" Alice asks curiously.

"Are you perhaps now on good terms with Dawin?" Jeremy asked carefully.

"A what now? Wait so you called me here to ask me about that?"

Cassy and Jeremy just nodded their heads because that's not what they wanted to hear from Alice.

"Okay, okay. Me and Dawin doesn't still in good terms, well we talk, yes. But that doesn't mean we're okay because in reality we're not. I know when we get back to Seoul, everything will be back as before. He will hate me, and I'll just avoid him for the sake of peace. The marriage, yes I know it'll happen probably but we'll not cross the line got it? I want him to forgive for what I've done to him, but maybe it really needs time, or maybe never, he will never forgive me."

"Well that was a long a*s speech but Ali, are you really happy about this upcoming marriage?" Jeremy asks Alice with concern.

Alice just smiled to him sadly and said, "Je, to be honest I really never expected this to happen, he doesns't love me anymore--

But Cassy cut her off.

"So you mean, you still love him?"

Well that takes Alice off guard.

"Yes, I still love him," Alice said sincerely.

"Wow, I mean just wow."

Alice just rolled her eyes to Jeremy.

"How come you still love him Alice, it's been years. Well I know you want his forgiveness but love? He hates you now Ali."

"I love him, even though he hates me. I promised my self that the only man I'll ever love is Dawin just him and no one else. I don't care if he hates me, as long as I see him it's okay."

Alice didn't notice the tears rolled down on her eyes.

"We're sorry Ali, because of us you cried again," cassy said apologetically.

"Haha, it's fine, people should cry you know."

But deep inside Alice was hurt because facing reality is hard than she ever expected.

After the three of them talk, Alice and cassy goes back to their respective rooms, it's now 10 pm and Alice was just sitting on her bed while her back is on the head board.

She was watching some funny kpop videos when her eyes saw a glimpse of a specie on her floor.

"What's tha-- AHHH!!"

Alice screamed so loudly that surely her room neighbour heard

Her.

On the other hand Dawin just woke up from his sleep and decided to eat. While he was eating, he suddenly flinched when he heard a loud scream of a girl.

"AHHH!!"

He puts the burger in the plate and stands up, but when he should be going to the door he suddenly stops when he saw his phone ringing.

He groaned and get his phone, but when he saw the caller I.D his eyes widened and answered it directly.

"Alice, is it you who--"

"Dawin please come here there's a-a," but Alice can't speak properly.

"A what Alice?"

"A-a big centipede, please."

When Alice said centipede, Dawin run as fastly as possible cause he knows Alice has Scolopendrphobia, a phobia for centipedes.

Luckily the door of Alice's room wasn't lock.

When he opened it there he saw Alice in the bed while clutching tightly her pillow, and when he looked down there he saw a giant centipede, he fastly realized that the centipede comes from the window as it was opened widely.

"Okay Alice just stay there, don't panic and deep breaths okay?"

"O-okay."

When he checks the room he luckily saw a thick blanket near him and a sword, well the sword was just a interior decoration for every hotel rooms.

He grabbed it and also the thick blanket.

He slowly walked to the giant centipede and he gulp as he definitely know that the centipede in front of him is dangerous and most of all poisonous, just a one bite and surely it'll be worse.

The centipede was not crawling fastly as it was eating something facing the bed, so it didn't still notice dawin coming near it.

When dawin was near enough on it he hurriedly covered it by the thick blanket that will surely make the centipede hard to crawl fastly.

When he covered it already the centipede suddenly jerks and starts moving rapidly, so Dawin is left by no choice and sliced the centipede which now stops moving. He sighed heavily and looks at Alice who is now staring at him with big eyes. Not until he didn't notice that Alice suddenly jumps on him, which makes him hold her waist tightly.

"T-thank y-you, I was r-really scared w-what if it'll come to my bed, w-what--" but she didn't finish her sentence when Dawin just put her head on his buff chest and hug her tightly.

"Don't worry that won't harm you, look it's dead so don't worry okay."

Alice just nodded and out of instinct, hugs Dawin very tightly.

But after some moment they both realize their position so they akwardly broke the hug.

"I'll call the room service and tell them about this so don't worry and goodnight."

And with that Dawin goes to the door and halt when Alice spoke again.

"Thank you, and I really mean it."

Dawin just nodded his head and goes out afterwards while calling the room service.
