Chapter 8

Alice was speaking yes, but you can't see any emotions, even though they are not together anymore, Dawin is still scared on what actions will Alice do, because as long as he remember Alice hurt herself before.

He remember before when they finally got home Alice goes straightly to the bathroom and gets the blade which is used for shaving. Alice didn't think twice and sliced her wrist.

Dawin was shaking at the thought before, because Alice is so scary when it comes to this situation.

When Alice hurts herself she didn't even care that Dawin was stopping and watching her actions.

"I'm sorry if I saw that," with that Alice goes out from Dawin's office while still crying.

"L-love."

2 days have passed after the incident happened in Dawin's office.

Right now the people around Alice became a little worried because Alice's actions were different, sometimes Cassy her assistant can see her staring at the wall, she wanted to ask why would Alice act like that but she knows now is not the right time.

Right now Dawin, Alice and other staff are having a meeting because the Quez wear is getting more sales and they want to plan a new place and theme for the new Clothe Set Quez wear will release again.

"So according to the plan, Miss Ac will have a photo shoot in an island in the Philippines."

"Yes sir Dawin, and to be specific it's in Boracay Island and maybe tomorrow we can go there," the staff said.

"Yes we can," Dawin was worried but he professionally hide it, he was scared.

Alice was just sitting in right side of him, but it is so obvious that She's not listening, she was just staring at nothing.

Then cassy talked.

"Yes it's more better especially in the next 2 weeks the marriage ceremony will happen."

"Miss Ac, what---"

The staff didn't finish her sentence when cassy suddenly gasp.

"Cassy what happened?" Dawin asked.

"Sir Marquez may I talk to you alone?"

Dawin deep inside is nervous because he can saw the uneasiness in Cassy's eyes.

"Okay, meeting dismiss and thank you all for your cooperation."

After Dawin talk Alice just stands up and goes out directly, while he just sighed and rub his temples.

"Sir I think you need to see this."

Then Cassy handed him her phone.

Dawin widened his eyes on the article he saw.

Dawin Marquez the famous CEO of MQ incorporations and the famous Celebrity AC was rumored to be exes before, insiders said AC left Dawin just for another man and Dawin was so furious and there marriage right now is just fixed.

Dawin now sees red, he was so furious that Cassy walks back because she can clearly see how Dawin clenched his fist on the wooden table.

"Don't let Alice see this."

"What--"

"Now! Get her phone and don't let her near in any gadgets or television, take her home and don't let her mingle with other people Now!"

Dawin gave Cassy her phone and Cassy hurriedly run as fast as she could to Alice. While Dawin dialed someone on his phone.

"Pia--"

"Dawin please help me I'm here in Alice's dressing room, s-she lock herself in the bathroom please Dawin I'm begging you set aside your madness in Alice, I-I know only you can help her please."

Dawin runs fast as he could going to Alice's dressing room, he was now sweating and he can't think clearly, but he's sure for one thing. Alice will hurt herself again, just like before.

When he reaches Alice dressing room he saw Pia and cassy shouting Alice's name and other staff who can be trusted is also there trying their best to open the door.

"No,no,no,no stop don't please!"

Alice is now sobbing hardly while repeating the same word again and again.

"T-this w-will s-stop m-my feelings, y-yes just b-b-blood y-yes."

Flashback

"Michael please don't leave us!"

"I said f*****g stop, your pathetic Jia, I don't care about you!"

Jia, Alice's mother was kneeling in front of Michael, Alice's mother was sobbing hardly.

"How about Jeremy and Alice, please they are you children don't leave them please."

"Jia I love another women and not you, if you want just f*****g keep them I don't care," and with that Michael goes out while leaving his family crying and hurt.

Alice who is just 13 years old runs to her room and locks herself on her own bathroom.

"D-dad no."

Alice who is shaking badly grabs the glass and broke it and without thinking twice she hurt herself again and again not until she stops because of dizziness and blood loss.

Her brother Jeremy forced the door to open just to witness her younger sister unconscious with blood scattered around the floor.

"ALICE!"

Alice was just staring at herself at the mirror laughing while crying.

"Tsk, that's why Dawin will never forgive you," she whispers to herself.

She drank the sleeping pills all at once and laugh, next is the part that she always did before.

She grab the blade and hurt herself repeatedly.

Blood was now scattered on the floor, Alice's white polo is now full of blood.

When she was going to pass out she hear a voice she wants to hear again after 5 years.

'L-love please.'

When Dawin was now in front of bathroom he breath first and contemplates whether to say it or not.

But for Alice it's now or never.

He banged the door and shouted.

"L-love please...Open the door."

Finally the staff who just entered brought the keys and gave it to Dawin right away.

Dawin hurriedly open the door but what he saw was the last thing he would thought.

Alice was laying on the floor blood scattered all over her body, her head was obviously hit by the toilet bowl because she fainted.

"ALICE! WAKE UP!"

Dawin was now crying thankfully he still have strength left and carried Alice, not caring about his white suit being soak by blood.

He was running going to the back of the building as it has more privacy, Pia already called the ambulance and she decided to call Alice family and her parents.

When they heard the news they go straightly to the hospital and wait for Alice there.

Dawin is now with Alice in the ambulance, the paramedics were trying their best to stop the blood oozing out from Alice's wounds.

"Please save her, she's my fiancee please save her."

When they finally reach the hospital, people were so shocked to see the famous CEO crying and was soak by blood, and the famous celebrity being unconscious.

Just earlier the news where Dawin and Alice are exes and the fix marriage shock the nation, what now that the both said person were now in the emergency room.

Dawin was just sitting in waiting area while closing his eyes, praying in the above for Alice's safety.

He may be mad at Alice for what she did before but never in his imagination to see Alice laying on the ground with her pool of blood. He was scared, there is many what if's running on his mind.

"Dawin!"

When Dawin looks on her side she saw Alice's mom and brother along side with Pia and his mom and dad.

"M-mom."

Dawin wants to cry out loud, but he can't because even though he helped Alice earlier nothing will change, he still needs to hate Alice, but he's not that evil to let just Alice die without giving him the real reasons on why she did leave before.

"Dawin, s-she did it again right?" Jeremy, Alice's brother asked.

Dawin can't answer anymore and just nods, when he nods Jeremy and Alice's mother cried, her mother now blames herself on why Alice makes a habit on hurting herself, she also blame his pathetic husband, yes husband because until now Alice's mother and father didn't divorce.

After 2 hours of waiting and crying finally the emergency operating room signals that the operation is done.

The doctor goes and all of them stands up directly.

"Is Alice okay now?" Pia asks.

"Yes, she's okay, we already stitched her wounds and unfortunately a lots of blood is lost by Miss Alice and," the doctor sighs.

"And?"

"She drank the whole bottle of sleeping pills and she was overdosed by the d**g, we really tried our best and fortunately we remove the drugs out of Miss Alice's body, but the problem is for 2 to 3 days she will be experiencing some difficulties in thinking and moving because of her wounds and over dose.

We also run some test and we found out that she is experiencing a severe depression and a trauma, I advice when she wakes up, look up into her more and always make her emotion stable."

"No,no,no please what can we do to make her heal faster?" Alice's mom asks.

"I'm sorry Mrs. Anderson but we just needed to wait for Miss Alice's recovery."

Dawin closes his eyes and decided to go out.

"Wait Dawin were are you going," Pia says.

"I-I don't know."

Dawin just absentmindedly drive far away from the hospital, that after 30 minutes he reaches the way going to the top of the hill where you can see the city lights.

He just sat there staring at the city lights, thinking about the things happened to day and the last 2 days.

Dawin's POV

What happened in the last 2 days were never my intention, Kiara is a gold digger that's why I'm her target now, the kiss it was sudden, I never thought Alice would go there and enter my office.

I'm scared I know Alice she still doesn't move on from what she saw 2 days ago. I admit it, it was my fault, I let Kiara kiss me.

My plan is still going on, but I guess not now because I know it'll never be right. She was hurt again. Heck I am too but why does now it looks like it's my fault?

When I saw her earlier, I felt numb, she was there laying with her pool of blood, maybe if I just open the door more earlier maybe she didn't hit her head, overdose herself and cut herself.

It was very painful to her like that, because I know from the 5 years being away from her I still genuinely care for her.

But the thing is I can't show it to every one especially Alice. I still need to find the reason on why would she leave me unnoticed.

Third Person's POV

After 2 hours Dawin finally decided to go home, he will just wash himself and decided to go back in the hospital as he still wants to see Alice's condition.

Just earlier when He texted Pia and asks if Alice is already awake but unfortunately she is still unconscious.

While Dawin was driving going home he saw shop that sells fruits and flowers.

'No Dawin it's too much.'

'Just for once.'

He park on the side way and goes out on his car, it was just 6 pm so that's why many shops are still open.

When he entered on the shop he realize he is the only costumer.

"Sir Marquez?"

Dawin look onto his side and saw the old lady smiling at him, he just smiled back because he is still busy choosing the flowers.

Dawin then decided to pick red roses as he remember that Red roses are one of Alice's favorite flower.

"Um, I want this Roses in a bouquet."

While the lady is still busy making the bouquet, Dawin then get the basket which is full of fruits and handed it in to the cashier, luckily at the same time the bouquet is already done.

But suddenly the old lady talks.

"Did you know that there's once a couple who the man seeks revenge to the girl, but not until he realize in the end that it was all wrong, all wrong for tearing her."

"Huh?" Dawin was taken back from the sudden words that came out from the old lady.

"Their relationship can be symbolizes through a red rose, red rose was burned by fire while the girl was holding it. The revenge was on the rose," The old lady uttered.

"Um okay I guess?"

"I'm sorry for what I have just blabber it was just I feel I need to say it," the old lady speaks.

Dawin laugh fakely because he feels it's not right that he heard it.

The lady just laugh and decided to just sum up the prize.

When Dawin was near on the door the lady then speak again.

"By the way Mr. Marquez I heard the news about you and your fiancee and I hope everything will fine."

Dawin just smile and nodded, he even asked himself if everything will be fine.

When Dawin reached the hospital he first parked his car and then entered the hospital, Alice room is located in the top floor which is the VIP area.

Dawin finally reached the top floor and find Alice's room when he saw it he hesitated first but then he knock and entered.

Dawin finally breath after he's holding it, Alice was just sleeping peacefully alone with no one.

"Love."

Dawin doesn't know why he called Alice that pet name again, but for now he just wanted to stay at her side because after 5 years this is the first time for him to be this close with Alice.

Alice was just sleeping peacefully but what makes Dawin guilty is the tubes that are connected in Alice's body.

"Just wake up please, even though I hate you, I don't want to see you like this, laying on the hospital bed unconscious."

Dawin brushes the hair in Alice's forehead and hesitantly hold her hand.

"Don't do this again, what if I'm not here to save you huh, what if you'll do this again but maybe worse."

"I'm not still not yet done with you, I needed to know the reason so please don't do this again."

But suddenly Dawin widen his eyes and hurriedly retreat his hand from Alice's hands.

Alice is still sleeping but tears won't stop flowing from her eyes.

"I-Im sorry."

That's what Dawin said while he hurriedly leave Alice's room.

Another day was born and Dawin was now in the office early in the morning, he just got a call from her sister and informed him that Alice already wakes up from her sleep in 3 am.

After Dawin left the hospital yesterday it was also the same time Pia arrives in the hospital, she doesn't have any idea on Dawin's sudden visit on the hospital because as long as she knows Dawin run away.

Alice was just staring at nothing while Pia is talking to the nurse, and when she turns her head to Alice's side she can't help but to just sigh.

To Pia's perspective Alice's behavior become worse, when she just wake up earlier, Pia saw it, she just open her eyes and stare at the ceiling, she didn't even talk.

"Um excuse me nurse but can you leave us for awhile?"

"Oh yes ma'am Pia."

When the nurse left, Pia then sits on Alice's bed.

"How are you, is anything you need?" Pia asks softly.

"House."

Pia understands it in an instant and she cups Alice's face.

"Hm okay, the doctor informed me earlier that it's now okay for you to go home, but of course you need someone and your brother Jeremy volunteered to do it, while me I'll visit you often okay?"

Alice just nods but for Pia it's enough atleast she responds to her.

It's now 2 in the afternoon when Jeremy was fixing Alice's clothes and put it in the bag.

"Alice come on change your clothes."

"Help me."

"Of course."

When Alice was done changing her clothes, Jeremy then tie the hair of Alice.

"Okay we're done, so let's go?" He says while offering his hand for Alice, because Alice needs to stand up and will sit again in the wheel chair.

They are finally in the parking lot, thankfully it's located in the basement so that's why it's more secured and more private.

While Jeremy is driving, He glance on her sister and close his eyes for seconds.

Alice once again was just silent and staring at the vehicles around them.

"Alice do you want to eat something, so I could buy you since we're still here."

"Mc flurry."

Jeremy smiles and nods.

"Okay Mc flurry it is."

After the drive thru Jeremy can't help but to smile, he just remember when they are still young every time Alice heals from sickness all she just request for food is just Mc flurry, well he doesn't know why but he still finds it adorable, especially it's his sister.

"Alice we're here."

Jeremy gets of the car and opens the passenger seat. When he holds Alice to stand up, he was shocked when Alice suddenly hug him very tight.

"Thank you Je."

When Alice said that, Jeremy can't help but to hug Alice very tight.

"I-I miss you Alice, it's nice to hear my nickname again coming from your mouth."

"I'm sorry if I made you worried along side with Mom."

"No don't be, just promise me that you will heal and stop staring at nothing you look stupid."

Jeremy tried to lighten the mood and he was lucky because for the first time again Alice smiles.

When they entered their house, both Alice and Jeremy was welcomed by their mom.

"Alice," her mom said while tearing up.

"Mom, I miss you," Alice hug her mother with the help of his brother, she can walk but the problem is her wounds on her feet, because she hurt it too.

"Be careful darling, and Je help your sister, let's go to the dining table I've made foods that the both of you love."

"Yes!"

"Yes!" The both siblings said.

Alice already sat but when Jeremy is going to sit his phone suddenly rung.

"Um, Alice, Mom I'll answer this call."

"Yes go on."

Jeremy then decided to go on his room.

He answer the phone,

"Pia."

"Jeremy, did you and Alice get home already?"

"Yes, yes."

"How is she?"

"She's good, in the hospital earlier she was just staring at nothing but when we go home she suddenly hug me and thank me, and that is when she started talking.

"O my, thank god, I-I thought it'll be more harder to let her talk again."

"Yes and I was so happy especially now she's smiling to me and mom."

"That is great, just keep guiding her Jeremy."

"Of course she's my younger sister and I have to protect her at all cost, especially me and mom didn't see her for almost 1 year because of her work and we just communicated virtually."

"Atleast she's with you now, and I heard she will be having a photo shoot today but because of what happened it was postponed and will be move to next week. Is it okay if you will come with her?"

"Of course and I'm sure by that time she's okay."

When Jeremy goes back to the Dining room, he saw Alice and their mom laughing at something and he smiles because he miss this kind of interaction from them.

'I'll protect you no matter what happens.'

1 week have passed and Alice is now fully healed, she now talks often just like before and today she is going to the airport along with her brother and Cassy because they are going in Boracay, Philippines for the photo shoot.

The staff that comes along with them is so happy because Alice is now giggling and laughing, compared to what happened last week.

"Um, who are we waiting for? Let's go?" Alice asked.

"Miss Ac, Mr. Dawin will come with us, because he will be also meeting some business partner in the island."

Alice just smiled and nodded her head.

After 5 minutes Dawin have finally arrived and when Alice saw him, she can't help but to check Dawin who is now busy talking to the staff.

Dawin is wearing a white t-shirt along side with black jeans and black boots. Alice can't help but to stare but unfortunately her brother Jeremy flicks her forehead.

"What the hell Je?!"

But Jeremy just laugh and said.

"Stop staring, other staff saw what you did."

When Alice hear those she hurriedly wear her shades, and when she wear it, she heard her brother and other staffs laughing.

On the other side the oblivious Dawin was just talking to the staff when he heard the other staff laughing on something, when he looks up he saw the staff laughing while facing Alice who is now watching the plants intensely in the airport's mini park.

'Huh? As long as I know she doesn't like that kind of plant.'

After 30 minutes finally they are ready for departure going to the island, they are already in the plane when.

"Sir Dawin your seat is here B-5."

"Oh okay I really thought I will be seating on the window side."

When Dawin sat already he saw Alice still finding her seat not until Cassy helps Alice.

"Oh B-6, Alice here is your seat come on," cassy said still not looking to Dawin's side.

"Yeah your right."

When Alice is going to sit her eyes widen when he saw Dawin just next to her seat.

"I-I'm sorry I'll just transfer to anoth--" before Alice could complete her sentence Dawin cuts her off.

"It's fine you sit here, I know you like sitting on the window side."

They got the private plane so that's why the people around them can hear their conversation.

"Ms. Alice just sit with your Fiancee."

"I don't know when the both of you are together it looks so good."

"Yieh."

The other staff are now teasing them but Alice just sits beside Dawin and didn't respond to their comments.

Alice wears her headphones and just closed her eyes. But she can feel a pair of eyes watching her.

On the other hand Dawin can't help but to stare on Alice's side profile.

'She's more beautiful now.'

'Her eyes it's still the same.'

'Her lip--

Dawin widened his eyes when he realize what he just thought, but truth to be told he can't just really help but to stare at her, it's been so long when Dawin can see Alice in closer position.

Before, it's never been a problem to watch her closely as he can just watch her anytime, while falling asleep, or when they do that thing.

But now it's seems so hard to look at her closely and watch every details on her face.
