Chapter 6

Dawin's POV

Her eyes is still the same, it holds many emotions. She's still beautiful or more like ethereal, i remember before, She hated having Her hair colored, but now it was blonde.

She really changed alot. But i must remember what She have done to me, I can't just Forgive Her just like that, because now it's different.

although i admit it to my self that i still love Her. But no, She will never discover it because now I need an answer and not a sorry, i'll will show it to Her that i changed.

"please sit down" i gestured them to sit on the Chair on the right side of the table, now that we are all sitting i decided to talk about the Contact for Quez wear.

"As you may all know, were here for the contract signing for Quez wear and AC as our Endorser, and here's the contract" I slide the contract to them and I notice Alice was still staring at nothing.

"Um Miss AC here's the contract" Oliver said while waving His hands in front of Alice.

"Oh yeah sorry, so we just sign it and leave right?"

"Of course you'll be just back in the next day and and we will held a press conference you know, media"."

"If that's it then we better gotta go" She signed the contract and and gave it back to me and She stands up.

"We'll see each other again in the next day Sir Marquez." And with that Alice go out.

What's wrong with Her?

"I'm sorry about Her sir."

"Hm it's okay, go follow Her."

Third Person's POV

"umm Dawin?" Oliver says, nervous on what will Dawin say next.

"You didn't even tell me." Dawin said blankly.

"Huh?" Oliver was now confused

"Alice. You know She's back, yet you didn't tell me"

Now Oliver understands what He means.

"I was scared okay. I know what you've been through all this years."

"Then why did you chose Her?"

"No I did not chose Her personally to be honest, I assigned my team to choose an endorser for this project, they told me it was Ac and they sent me the informations about Her and I was shock because I discovered it was Alice and I can't back out anymore because at that time they already contacted Her management."

"So last week, it was Her?" Dawin now faces Oliver.

"What do you mean?"

"The girl who is chasing you in the park, it was Her right?"

"You saw? Well yes it was Her, it was you know, like a reunion time."

Dawin was frustrated, it was the first time He saw Alice in this five years yet He doesn't know what to feel. Happy? Because She was finally back, Mad? Because She just returned like that, like there was no thing happened five years ago?

His head had many questions right now, and He know Alice will be the only one who can answer it all.

Dawin was now in His apartment and right now it's already midnight yet there He is, in the living room drinking alcohol, He was a mess, from the earlier happenings.

He needed to stop now, but guess what? There was no someone who will stop Him from doing this mess.

Tomorrow they will bid their last goodbye to their grandpa, yet Dawin is here drinking with no care about tomorrow.

Dawin then accidentally called Oliver.

"Oliver?" Dawin says, unsure.

"Bro why are you still awake......wait are you drunk?"

Now Oliver gets up on the bed and check the time.

"Win, the hell it's 11 midnight why are you drunk?"

"You know s-she's back yet you didn't t-tell me?"

"Your drunk Dawin, do you want me to come there right now?"

"N-no-- " Dawin didn't finish His sentence when He suddenly passed out, living Oliver worried for Him.

"Dawin, wait. Now you passed out who in the world will take care of yo-- wait a minute."

Oliver's POV

Alice, yes Alice I remember Her information states She is living in Hera hill, yes... What a coincidence.

"Babe why are you awake?" Lisa says while rubbing Her eyes.

"O sorry babe, Dawin just called me and He was drunk or should we say wasted."

"What? Where is He?" Lisa was now worried too.

"Don't worry He's in His house and Babe go back to sleep I'll just go outside and call someone." "Hm k, night."

Tsk, I'm so smart...

Third Person's POV

Alice was now in front of wooden door, all She needed to do is to put the password She receive through text message. She doesn't know on why Oliver ask Her to come in this Apartment, luckily when Oliver called Her, She is still awake, watching k dramas.

"Who is the owner of this Apartment, it's seem luxurious but, whatever it's not the reason why i came here."

She typed the password that Oliver gave Her,

Suddenly Alice laughs.

What a coincidence, this password is also the same day when Me and Dawin became a couple, Alice thought.

But She just shrugged it off and open the door.

Alice's POV

Wow, this is not just an apartment but it was a luxurious apartment, I walked through the Hallway and,

What the hell, this house reeks of an alcohol. I fastly go the living room and saw a man sleeping on the floor, wait is He dead? god no, I need to go what if the killer is still here.

I hesitantly go near the man and turn His body towards me, wait?

Dawin?!

Third Person's POV

Alice was beyond shock when She saw Dawin, but she realize Oliver was the one who asked Her to go here, She gently touch Dawin shoulder to see if He's still sleeping, but she remember before, Dawin tends to be a deep sleeper.

But she didn't notice She was staring at him for a long time now, so she decided to bring Him into His room, She knows where it was as this house was a bit similar to Her.

Finally after some time of struggling she successfully put Dawin into His bed. He was still reeks in alcohol so She goes to the bathroom and gets a towel to wash for Dawin.

Alice's POV

Now i'm done wiping Dawin and i decided to cook a soup for him i know He'll definetly wake up tomorrow so i'll just write in a piece of paper that the soup needs to be reheat.

When i look in the surroundings i can feel loneliness surrounds in it, in His bed side there's only a picture of Him wearing suit and holding trophy, I know this, this was the time He's company win in an business award.

It's already 12 am and I decided to go back in my house because tomorrow will be again, a busy day.

Before i left i check Dawin again and He's still sleeping, i go near Him and hesitantly move his bangs away from His forehead, without any hesitation i kiss his forehead,

I really miss Him, so so much.

Third Person's POV

It is already morning when Dawin woke up from a head ache, he was groaning in pain, when he decided to stand up he saw a pain killer and a glass of water in his night table.

He take the medicine and decided to lay down again, and that was when it hit him, He was in the living room yesterday night, so how the hell he was now in His room, and the pain killer, He was so sure he didn't prepare any of those.

Now he decided to go down and cook breakfast, when he entered the kitchen he stop on his tracks.

Dawin's POV

Hi, probably when you saw this note it's already morning, i decided to make a hangover soup, just heat it up again :)

As long as i remember i never call someone to come here, but wait, i remember i called oliver yesterday but i didn't tell him to come here.

I decided to call oliver and ask him about all of this...

Third Person's POV

"Sup, bro are you now okay?" Oliver says, while dawin was still asking himself.

"Oh oliver, perhaps do you come here yesterday midnight?"

On the other hand Oliver decided to play a prank to Dawin.

"huh? what do you mean? yesterday midnight I was sleeping and bro, I'm not living in hera hill so now good bye, today is another busy day especially today we will say the last goodbye for Mr. Marquez," Oliver said.

"oh okay never mind and ok bye I will see you later."

They both ended the call and did their own morning routines.

1 hour passed and now Dawin decided to come visit first his company and after that he'll straightly go to the funeral hall and assist the people there.

People greeted Him in the company but he just simply nodded as his mind was somewhere and that is,

Who took care of him?

If it was not oliver then who is it? he did not call or message any one yesterday night.

Maybe I'll call Pia maybe she did come to my house yesterday, he thought.

"Hi win," Pia said on the other side of the phone.

"Hmm, good morning, pia yesterday night did you come to my house?"

"um no? why did something happened, are you okay, did someone tried to hurt you? did you tell the police already, what did they say, did they check the cctv's, who did they saw?"

while Pia was ranting Dawin was face palming, did she really thought he can't fight with himself.

"stop, and don't worry no one hurted me, geez I'm perfectly fine and no need to over react I'm just asking," Dawin said while sighing after.

but then he continued,

" well if it was not you, then bye," then he hurriedly ended the call as he doesn't want any more ranting by her sister.

( Time skip)

It's already 12 noon and Dawin already took his lunch, he is now in the parking lot of his company ready to drive going to the funeral hall.

when he arrived there, many people are waiting, there is also some reporters. He ignore them and continued walking, as he entered the hall where it's more private and only people who are close to them are present.

But then, He stop on His tracks as he saw Alice, yes Alice, talking to His family. He didn't notice his fist clenching and decided to walk to them.

"mom," he said while still looking to Alice,

His mom who widened Her eyes along side with His dad.

then Dawin speaks again.

" Oh Miss Anderson, didn't expect you will be here," he said while his voice obviously holds a sarcasm.

Alice who is hurt a bit on the way Dawin talks to him decide to answer him back.

" Yes, of course Mr. Marquez, after all the senior Mr. Marquez is also my grandpa,"she said while clearly spoke the last words.

"wait, did you to meet again for the first time in five years, before this?," His mother asked purely shocked on how they talk to each other.

Suddenly a pure silence surrounds them, as if their voices where gone and didn't know how to reply back as they all knew the past was being the topic now.

But then Dawin reply, " yes mom, we saw each other again, as she was the new endorser in quez wear."

"oh really!? But now are you perhaps okay?," His mom asked, with a hesitating voice.

they both didn't answer, luckily Dawin's father save them from his wife.

"Haha, honey maybe it's better if we shut up, now let's go and talk to our friends, they are waiting there already,"

Lucas said while dragging his wife away.

Time passed the ceremony ended already and now they are all in the cemetery ready to say the last words for the senior Marquez.

" To Dad, our bond was unique, if we fought with each other about something we really tried our best to fix it before we sleep, as a father he was the best I could had, he may be always busy in his company, but he really always tried His best to spend time with me and mom, when she is still alive, in business he was also the best for me, all the decisions he had made in business world never fails. Dad i know your now with mom now, I hope the both of you will guide us in this world," after lucas finished his speech, he cried silently. it was hard especially now, he's dad is gone.

The Marquez family was all done in having their own speech for Mr. Marquez except, Dawin.

"Grandpa, once told me that everything in this world is temporary, so if your still alive, live the best for it. And then I realize he was right and when I look onto him, I really can see he was living his life to the fullest. Starting from His family, I really can tell He really loves us, for Me never fails as a grandpa to me, and Pia. In business, was also the best, especially on handling the MQ incorporation, starting from the scratch he build an empire. Grandpa, I promise I will never fail you, on being your grandson and as a CEO in the company you love the most," when Dawin finished his speech he accidentally turned his gaze on to Alice who is not looking at him, rather in the picture of Mr.Marquez.

The ceremony ended already and, Dawin decided to go home already as he was so tired from the earlier events.

He is now in the under ground parking lot in the building where he lives. He turns off his car engine and goes out in his Palisade car.

But when He is near the elevator a white car suddenly arrives and when he look on to the driver seat He widen his eyes.

Alice who is now parking her car is oblivious to the fact that Dawin is staring on to him with a big eyes.

when she goes out, He hurriedly enter the elevator and closed it fastly.

Dawin didn't notice he was long holding his breath.

And now He realize, of course there is a big possibility of Alice living in this expensive complex, especially she is a famous celebrity.

One week had passed and the Marquez family decided to have family dinner, as it was long ago they spend time together as a family.

The dinner is planned to be done in their mansion as Dawin's mother decided to cook a home made foods. They are now here in the dining table just waiting for their mother to serve their foods. When the foods are all served they all eat, as it was the most delicious food ever. While eating suddenly Pia remembered something.

"Dad," she said.

"Yeah, you need something?"

"Um, you must remember, grandpa gave you something, you know the white envelope," she said hesitantly.

"oh yeah, honey,where is it?" Mae said, while eating a salad.

"wait, I'll get it," Lucas said and stands up to get the white envelope in the room.

On the other hand, Dawin just looks at them, a little interested about the letter or what ever it is, from his grandpa."

A while later, Dawin's dad comes down while holding a white envelope.

"here it is, to be honest I already forgot about this, thanks to Pia , I remembered it again."

And then Lucas open the white envelope, he first reads it, but after a while his eyes suddenly widens.

"No way," he said while still staring in the paper.

Mae cannot wait anymore so she grabs the paper and read it this time.

"What?!"

"Son, maybe it's you who needed to read this," then Mae gave the paper to Dawin, who is still confused along side with Pia.

'Dawin, My grandson, I know when the time you are reading this I'm gone already.

Remember the time when You and Alice is still a couple, you promised me something, you said to me you will marry her in the future, Dawin I waited, I wanted to see you marrying Alice,

I guess I was too late.

Dawin let's get straight to the point, I want you to marry Alice, I know you still love Her, even though she left you, I can still see in your eyes that you needed Her.

I may be selfish in your eyes, but i don't want you to marry another girl, I only want Alice to be your wife. Dawin, Alice still loves you, I hope you know that.

I know you will never disappoint me, well to be exact you never disappoint me, but now I want you to be happy.

"No way," And then suddenly Dawin slams his hand on the table, resulting for his family to be shock.

"What the hell Dawin," Pia said while holding Dawin's hand, but suddenly Dawin yanks it away.

"All this years," Dawin started, which confuses them suddenly.

"You all know where she was, yet you didn't tell me," he said while glaring at them.

"You know?" His mother asks.

"I saw you all in the cctv, talking to her, like you've been in touch with Her a long time ago, You all saw me suffered, yet you didn't tell me."

"It's not that we want you to suffer Dawin, but please forgive us," his dad said.

"Then tell me, what's the reason."

Dawin's dad widen his eyes.

"I can't."

"And now, grandpa wants me to marry her, tsk, I'm sorry to say this, but no marriage will happen, whether you like it or, not."

Silence surrounds them not until, Pia broke it.

"Dawin, I don't know if you still love Alice or not, but if I were you I'll think of it carefully and not just reject on it. Grandpa wants you and Alice to marry each other, why not try to think it again, please Dawin, for grandpa."

"It's not easy as you may think," Dawin says and goes directly to his room.

His family just sighed because they know it's hard to pursue Dawin, especially on this matter.

"We need to talk to Alice," Lucas says, while Pia widen her eyes.

"But dad, are you sure about this?"

"We should never disappoint your grandpa Pia."

They decided that the three of them will meet Alice personally, as they don't want any misunderstandings.

Morning has come, but Dawin was just laying on is bed, staring on to his room ceiling.

"Dad, why did she leave me, is there something about me she doesn't want?," Dawin said while crying.

"Of course not, Alice loves you so much Dawin. Maybe she has her own reasons on why she leaves you so suddenly."

A tear slip on His eyes, He feel so betrayed,he remember before he was pleading to his parents to find Alice, they said they will try their best but after a long time He realize, his parents was not helping him at all.

He cannot sleep peacefully, tossing and turning around was all he did. He tries to sleep, but when he tries to close his eyes, an image of himself crying while holding Alice's picture, was all he can see.

He needs an answer.

He needs to ask Alice.

He needs to decide whether, he will agree on His grandpa's last wish or not.

"Alice! Wake up, come on get up," Cassy, Alice's ,manager said while trying to drag Alice's feet.

" Stop,stop. Okay I'll get up," when she got up, she said something that triggers Cassy.

"tsk, you always ruin my sleep."

"What did you just said?" but before she could slap Alice, Alice runs immediately.

They were both eating breakfast when Cassy remembered something.

"Oh by the way Alice, the Marquez family wanted to see you personally this evening, actually Pia informed me yesterday night about this."

'Why would they want to see me this sudden?' Alice thought.

"Did they told you, on what matter we were gonna talk about?"

"No, Pia just told me it was a personal matter."

"Oh okay, just remind me later," Alice said while gulping Her orange juice.

Alice worked whole day, but she really seems can't focus because of the dinner that will happened later, luckily she was informed by Pia earlier that Dawin doesn't know about this dinner/ thing.

It's already evening when Alice got home to get ready, she decided to wear a black skinny jeans, a red fitted of shoulder and black heels, even though they knew her, she still wants to be represantable in front of them.

After a while, she arrives in a 5 star restaurant where the dinner will be held.

she enter the resto, and a girl assisted her to the table.

She saw Dawin's mom and dad and Pia already waving at her.

"Woah, Alice you look so stunning," Pia said while hugging Her.

"Mom, dad, good evening," Alice said while smiling widely to them.

"You look more beautiful now honey," Mae said while rubbing Alice's back.

"Thanks mom."

"So now, were all here, let's get straight to the point."
