Chapter 33

1 month later.

After they come from Singapore, they go back to their respective works, Dawin became very busy as MQ incorporation collaborates in building a new hospital located in Itaewon.

Alice and Dawin didn't talk much in the whole month as Dawin always left early in the morning for work and comes back home late in the evening.

Alice was also busy in preparing for her new drama, after her long break she finally come back to her work and surely her fans really miss her. But as always Alice always finds a way to leave early in work just to spend time with Brian in the evening.

Poor kid really misses his parents so much, but both we're busy for work.

"Alice is your make up done?" Cassy shouted from the other side.

"Yeah, it's done, wait a minute!"

Well currently now, Alice is getting ready for a press conference in her new drama, which was also at the same time she will sign the contract which officially states the Alice will be the leading role.

Tomorrow, she will be having a script reading and the day after she will start her shooting, it really looks like it was all rushed but this project was planned long ago.

Alice actually already reads the script but for tomorrow it will be broadcast in television so she will pretend that it was her first time to read the drama's script.

"Please welcome AC!"

A loud applause from the audience resonates in the studio and Alice walks to the stage with her appealing smile and everyone shouts instantly, finally after so long they have the chance to see Alice again.

"Ms. AC! It's been a while since we saw you here live in national tv!" The MC says.

"Yeah it was, and I really miss you all guys, it was just life was so unpredictable and many things happened, but now that I'm finally back, I really hope you all would support me to the fullest," Alice says.

"We love you AC!" A group of crowds shouts.

Alice laugh and did a finger heart to the crowd.

"And now our main purpose for this press conference is the signing of contract with AC for her newest drama that will be aired in the next two months!" The MC shouted.

Alice smile and nodded her head, she sat on the chair which the front is a long table and other executives are also with her, along with her agency's CEO.

After many chit chats on what will happen, on how will they promote the drama and many more, finally it is the time for Alice to sign the contract.

Many camera we're now all focused in her and when Alice finally signed the contract a round of applause were heard and Alice stands up and goes infront of the stage and bowed to the crowd.

The MC went near her and gave her the mic.

"Finally guys, my new drama titled Jaguar's rose is finally happening and I hope you guys would love it and support it to the fullest, thank you everyone!" She smiled and gave back the microphone to the MC.

"You really did great earlier Alice!" Cassy says while hugging her.

Alice have just went down from the stage and now she is in her own dressing room with Cassy. After this she will go back home but she decided to talk with Cassy for some time now.

"By the way Alice did you already know the location for your shooting in your new drama?"

"Oh, I forgot to ask earlier, where is it by the way?"

"Alice about that, it's in Madrid Spain."

"Oh okay-- wait what?!"

Cassy smiled nervously.

"I though you knew already?"

"But how about my son?"

Alice stands up and leaned to the wall.

"When will be the starting for the shoot by the way?"

"You will go to Spain in the day after tomorrow."

"Oh, that's awful, but I'll talk with Dawin later."

"That's great, especially he is your husband he should know about this things or else."

Alice noticed the glint in Cassy's eyes so she rolled her eyes in return.

"What ever loser," Alice childishly says.

Cassy sigh and slaps Alice shoulder.

"Now go home Alice, Brian must be waiting for you."

"Yeah your right, where is my bag?"

"There," Cassy pointed.

"I'm home!" Alice shouted while holding a plastic with an ice cream inside.

But she was shocked to see Dawin in the living room while Brian was on his lap, both we're watching in the television.

Dawin sadly didn't look at her but Brian was the opposite.

He wiggled from Dawin's hold and carefully put his feet on the floor.

Alice smiled even though a little disappointed that Dawin didn't even greeted her.

Brian carefully walks in to her and beamed in happiness to see his mumma patiently waiting for him.

"Brian! My baby!" Brian giggled and hugged Alice in her next tightly.

"Oh did my baby miss me, huh?" Brian smiled.

Alice decided to tell Dawin about her new project now so she winch be having any problems because of it later on.

She first gave the ice cream to the maid to let it cool in the freezer for a while as they still didn't eat dinner.

"Dawin?" Alice hesitantly says.

Dawin on the other hand sighs and looked at Alice.

"Can I talk to you now?"

Dawin thought for a while on the reason why Alice wanted to talk and after that he nodded.

Alice sat on the opposite couch which faces Dawin.

"Um, Dawin I know you know already about my new drama and I wanted to that."

Dawin just stared at her for a while before bidding his head.

So that's it, no question or anything? Alice thoughts.

"Um Dawin?"

Dawin sighs and again looked at Alice.

"What now?" He frustatingly says.

Alice now had enough, she had enough of this sudden attitude of Dawin, she didn't do anything wrong for the past month so why is he like this?

"I know you won't care but I just wanted to tell you that my drama will be shoot in Madrid Spain and it will last in one month and I will leave exactly the day after tomorrow!" Alice didn't mean to raise her voice but because of Dawin's attitude she was like that.

She stands up while carrying Brian and instantly went to the kitchen.

While Dawin was still in his thoughts.

'is she going to leave his son? 1 month? Really that's too long?!' he thought.

"Why do you even care though?" He whispers to himself.

It was now midnight and Alice was now in her bed while Brian was beside her. She decided to let Brian sleep with her as she knows Brian will surely miss her for the one month that she will gone.

Earlier also, she decided let her mother stay here for a while and let her take care of Brian as Brian was also comfortable with Jia and that would also lessen the Longines of Brian to Alice.

She grab her phone from the table beside the bed and dialed her mom's number.

"Alice? Why did you call at this hour?" Her mom on the other line says.

"Mom I'm sorry to call you now I know your sleeping before this but I need a favor from you?"

"Okay what is it?"

Then Alice told her mom everything and after a while, luckily her mom understands what's going on and agreed instantly, as she also adores Brian so much.

New day has come and Dawin went to the office early in the morning as Seb called him and said to go to the office early as he said someone from the finance department did some mistake and Dawin should looked on to it personally.

Oliver also goes to the office leaving his wife Lisa in home.

Alice woke up from her deep slumber and smiled to see Brian hugging her like a koala.

She free herself from Brian's cute strong grip and went to the shower as she needs to go to her agency for her script reading.

Mae and Lucas will come to their house later on to fetch Brian as they want to spend time with him because it's been so long the grand parents spends time with their grandchild.

Alice goes out from the bathroom and changed her clothes in her walk in closet, luckily Brian was still asleep.

After that he goes to the kitchen to eat, she was eating peacefully when someone doorbell.

"Honey, were here!" Mae shouted from the living room.

"Mom, dad come here, let's eat breakfast!"

"Honey we already ate breakfast at home but still thanks," Mae says while sitting at one of the dining chair. Lucas did also the same.

"So where is my grandson?" Lucas asks, also it was obvious in his eyes that he was eager to see Brian.

Alice smiled and internally bloomed in happiness as her in laws really accepted Brian fully even though Brian is not Dawin's real son but even though they still loved him.

"He's still sleeping dad, but wait let me go upstairs maybe he's awake now."

Alice stands up and excused herself.

"Where is your son?" Mae asks Lucas sarcastically.

"I don't know of course and why are you asking me that?"

"Look it so obvious Alice only eats her breakfast alone, where is her husband, s***h your son? Of course in your company working his a*s off early in the morning!" Mae sassily says.

Lucas sigh, he didn't do anything yet he was still scolded by his great wife. Oh what a great day to start.

Brian already left with his grandparents and now Alice was doing her own make up in her room.

Her phone ringed and she answered it instantly.

"Ac, ac ,ac, where the heck are you now?" Cassy says.

"Wait I'm still doing my make up."

"Fine but when your done, go here fast okay?!"

"Wait why are you so moody now?"

Alice heard Cassy grumbled on the other line.

"Cause I'm in my period okay?!"

Alice laughs and after that bids goodbye to Cassy so she can do her make up quicker.

Alice arrived in her agency and luckily there is no media waiting outside so she can enter the company peacefully.

When she arrived in the conference hall, there were some cameras who took picture of her.

She saw Cassy and waved her hand gesturing her to come to her.

"What now?!" Cassy said.

Alice laughs, "nothing, just wanted to say good morning."

Cassy rolled her eyes but still greeted Alice back.

The script reading had already began and luckily it goes well as what is was planned.

After the script reading Alice talked to the media for sometime before going to her own studio in her agency.

She plopped on the couch and sigh, it's still morning but now she was already tired.

She sighs and texted Cassy on the phone and ask her to buy foods for lunch as she was already hungry.

Dawin was busy typing on his laptop when someone knocked on his wooden door.

He sigh and said come in, revealing Oliver and Jin.

"You two again?"

"Yeah of course, you don't have any other friends beside us," Jin says.

Dawin rolled his eyes.

"So what are you doing here really?"

"We heard Alice will have her flight later midnight going to Spain, will you not give her something to bring in Spain?" Oliver says.

Dawin sighs and leaned on the chair, "and why would I do that?"

Jin weirdly looked at him, "because she is your wife?"

"You know, I don't care about her, if she will go to Spain later then okay, goodbye, adios."

Jin and Oliver looked at Dawin.

"Why are you both staring at me?"

"Win, she's your wife, don't you care about her even a little."

Dawin smiled but under the table his both hands were in fist.

"What happened now Dawin? Why are you like this, Seb told us that your not like this when you are still in Singapore so what happened now?"

Dawin sigh, "fine, I don't want to attach my self to her, in Singapore that thing almost happened, and I don't want that, I admit I'm scared she will leave me again if things will go back like before.

Jin, Oliver, she still didn't tell me the reason and because of that it's hard for me to trust and get attached myself to her again."

Jin and Oliver sigh and both looked at each other and nodded.

They stand up and went to Dawin, Dawin was confused for a while but suddenly jolted when Jin and Oliver hugged him tightly.

"What the f**k?!"

Both laughs but still hug Dawin otherwise.

"Power hug bro, don't you want it, you only got the special privileges to be hugged by me, Jin Wang the most handsome man in the world."

Oliver and Dawin looked at him for some moments before rolling their eyes.

"But really win, if you have problems, don't hesitate to tell us, even though we're not blood related but we Jin treats you as our little brother."

Dawin sigh and smiled at the both of them.

"Thank you guys," he said sincerely, deep inside he was so happy to have a good friends more like brother's by his side.

Even though they always tease each other to the fullest, they still always respect each other.

It's now late afternoon and Dawin decided to go home early, after Jin and Oliver left earlier, he became deep in his thoughts.

He finally decided to act civil again. Well he doesn't know when this thing will end but for now he just wanted peace.

And now he is packing his things and also bring some files so he can continue reading it in the house.

He was driving peacefully when his eyes lands to a grocery store, he parked his car in front of it and went out.

He entered the store and sigh when he saw it was not crowded.

He bought Alice's favorite snacks that is enough for 1 month.

He sigh, he doesn't know what he was doing but he feels it was the right thing to do. He also decided to talk with Alice later.

Alice arrived in the house and pour when she didn't saw Brian.

"Oh, good evening mam," Brian's nanny greeted.

Alice smiled, "where's Brian?"

"He's sleeping mam, he got tired when Mr.and Mrs. Marquez left after spending time with him."

Alice nodded and excused herself to shower.

After she left at the same time Dawin arrived and parked his car first.

He went inside and sigh thankfully that there's no Alice or else she will see a big plastic which Dawin was holding now.

He went to his room after greeting the maids and took a shower.

It was now 1 a.m and Alice was busy on packing her things as her flight will be in 5 am and right now was her only time to prepare as she was busy earlier.

Brian woke up earlier also and spends time with Alice, Alice knows that Dawin is already in his room but she didn't bother to knock or greet as she was not in the mood.

She was busy folding her clothes when someone knocked on her door.

"Alice can I come in?"

"D-dawin?"
