The Dream

Wake up wake up!!!! She yelled , I opened my eyes and I saw my mother shouting at the top of her voice , it was then I had realised it was a dream . I went on with my day as I usually would , cleaned up got ready for school , it was a windy day , the clouds were heavy like it was about to rain , oh how I love to play in the rain , I headed out to catch with my old pal Stevie who was in the same class with me , we had just entered high school and the buzzing feeling we couldn’t , one things about Stevie is the way he talks , he speaks like someone who has been through a lot , with his cold calm , and squinting voice , I always teased him for it .he met me by the stop and we got in the bus and started our trip to school . Stevie got up and sat beside me and said , do you remember the girl you had a crush on in junior year, I laughed with a big smile on my face and replied , Stevie said she was sitting right at the last seats in the bus , I tried to take a peak ,and she noticed me , she smiled , I smiled back , and quickly sat down back , my heart missed like two beats during that two second encounter, well the girl I had a crush on was called Hannah , Hannah was the prettiest girl I have ever seen since I left my mothers womb , Hannah eyes were blue like the clouds , her smile could light up a city , her beauty was majestic I couldn’t believe someone could be so perfectly made up like that , I used to call her my fair winter lady , well I never told her that it was all in head , so Stevie looked at me and laughed and said I should go talk to her , I told him I didn’t want to , we’ll in honest truth I just couldn’t , because I think I would have lost the words to even say to her , I had a crush on this girl throughout junior year and never even said hello to her , and he thinks I can do it now , I gently told Stevie I am not interested anymore , he laughed and said that was a lie , and we started arguing about how he also never approached his crush but he’s now pressuring me , we kept going at it , then all of sudden I heard someone stepping up to us , I looked up and to my greatest amazement it was Hannah , I can’t lie at that moment I almost swallowed my tongue , she looks so magnificent closer up , and it seems she had grown taller during the summer , which made her looked so beautiful , she came up to me and Stevie and said hi , stevie replied how are you doing she said she was fine , honestly I was too startled to talk , I didn’t utter a word , and I definitely looked weird , Hannah then asked why the bus hasn’t stopped that we should be at our school by now , and to my greatest amusement, I looked around and we were actually the only three people in the bus , so Stevie suggested we should check on the driver to see , what has happened , so Stevie got up to go and check , I tried to pinch him warning to not leave me alone with Hannah ,he just smiled and headed up front to check , Hannah then sat beside me , her perfume scented so nice , it reminded of the first time i entered my dads Range Rover , the scent of something fabulous, Hannah then asked me why I peeked at her earlier , and I said I didn’t , I just turned my neck , but she said she was the only one sitting at the back and moreover I smiled at her , and I couldn’t deny that fact , so insisted I got back at her by saying but you smiled first at me , and she giggled and said yes she did , and then Stevie came running saying the bus was driving itself , I giggled and said you must be insane right , but he looked so terrified I was like oh s**t he’s serious , so I decided to go take a look for my self , from a distance I peeked and I saw the steering turning on it’s own , at that moment I was so shocked i frizzed , Hannah came up and saw me startled and ask me it is true , and I just nodded , we headed back to our seats , and Stevie was still in shock , holding himself , and to my greatest surprise Hannah was the most calm among us , she calmly sat down and said what are we gonna do about this , Stevie said I think we should jump , I was so scared but I still knew that was a bad idea , so Hannah suggested we should try cutting the wires that ignite the engine so the bus can stop , I was shocked she could come up with something at this point , cause it seems like Stevie almost pissed himself , so I said let’s check for a pair of pliers or scissors , so we searched the box and found a pair of pliers in the glove box , and so headed forward to cut the wires , me and Hannah first as usual , Stevie stood back and watched from a distance , I had to build the courage even thou I was so damn terrified , my crush was here , I had to man up , so I took the pliers , but then I asked how am I certain of which wires to cut , Hannah said she wasn’t sure as well, and Stevie in a melted scared tone said “we are f****d “ , so Hannah suggested I should cut all the wires at this point we have nothing to loose , so I went ahead went under the steering and snapped all the wires , and quickly ran back to meet Hannah , so all sat down and held on to something waiting for the bus the bus to stop , a minute passed and the bus still hasn’t stopped , and now I was even more terrified, Hannah hugged me right and said in a low scared tone what are we gonna do , I could start to feel her fear , but in my mind at that moment I said if I was to die at this point it won’t be bad ,my crush finally hugged me , but I patted her and said it will be Ohk , Stevie looked at me and his eyes were full with tears and said bro I don’t want to die , I didn’t know how to calm him , I just said we will figure it out , and it came to me this is how adults felt, when people put on there hopes and trust in them , because it started to look like they wanted me to find a solution , which at that moment my head was in the dust , so I stood up and looked around the bus , and I went to the back door and tried to open it , it was hard so I told Steven to help me , we did and the door finally opened , so we closed it back but in a manner we could easily open it again , and I said it seems we have to follow stevie’s crazy idea we have to jump , and they were already all deep in there fear, thoughts and imaginations they couldn’t whisper a word , so I said we have to find something to break our fall , because the bus is moving so fast , and so we checked around and under one the chairs we saw one of the buses old door , which was changed probably earlier , I said this will do , so we can each hold to it as we fall and lean side ways , we picked ropes to tie our hands to the door, but it still didn’t make sense to me how we found the door so easily under the chair , but at that moment , it was a choice of survival or stay on the bus and find out where the bus ends or what or who’s driving the bus , so many thoughts , so many questions in my head , but the only thing that kept me going was the fear in Hannah and stevie’s eyes , and I just wanted us to get out of here , so we all strapped on we’re ready to jump , and Stevie was scared and said what if we die , I said are you about to take your chances on the bus he said he will let us go first and see before he follows , I said but there’s nothing else to use to break your fall , he said he will figure it out , I didn’t really know what to do , but I couldn’t risk staying on this bus any longer , so I stood and told Stevie I hope you will find the courage to jump with us , and we headed to the back door , I opened the door and asked Hannah , she seemed scared but she said yes let’s do it , so I opened the door , so I said on three , one , two I said and then I heard Stevie shouted wait and he was running towards us from the front of the bus , and as he was running ,something like a black hollow , it looked like a bear but tall with a gruesome looking face , behind Stevie so I shouted Stevie run and he turned back and what ever it was grabbed him with its claws which were sharp as spears , it seemed to have killed Stevie because he was screaming , and it went all silent , I was in tears , I wanted to go back , but it looked like whatever that was I couldn’t fight it, as I saw it’s claws piercing into Stevie skin , I felt like a piece of me just melted , Hannah was so terrified crying ,screaming, and wailing , but she said let’s jump , the beast looked up and saw us , and started to run towards us , so I held Hannah and we jumped ,we had a nasty fall but luckily we didn’t break anything ,I looked up and saw the bus drive away and the beast at the door , it seemed it wanted to jump and rip us apart , but something was confining it to the bus , it was growling and hauling like a predator hunting a prey , I asked Hannah are you alright , she said yes , and I sat there and bursted into tears , Stevie was my friend throughout my childhood, we literally were like soul brothers , I really couldn’t imagine that the beast had killed him , I was in pain despair , sorrows , my emotions were overinflated , I was so much in shock of how things changed so fast , I kept shouting
