Avenged

“Two wrongs don’t make a right”, or that’s what they say along with “treat people as you wish to be treated”. I heard those kinds of sayings throughout my childhood. But that was when my parents were still alive, and I had no reason not to believe that people were inherently good. I thought that people who did bad things must have had a good reason, some dire circumstance that pushed them in the wrong direction. Now, I know better. Some people are just evil. I now know that two wrongs don’t make a right, not necessarily because they are wrong or they perpetuate further retaliation, but because the truly wronged party could never feel adequate satisfaction. My parents were advocates for absolute forgiveness. Too bad I’m not them. And given everything I have had to deal with since, I honestly believe that fatal betrayals can only be rendered inert with absolute vengeance. That is my goal. The Kingdom of Kamir will know the truth of what happened. They will know who the traitors truly were. I hope all those people that believed the lies so easily wallow in their guilt for eternity. Those responsible will feel my wrath. This is my story. This is my revenge.
