34. Feeling Loved Again *Mature Content

Randall POV:

“Something terrible happened to Henry. Randall, you should go talk to him”, Susan advised me.

“I know, babe, but unfortunately it doesn’t work that way with men. We should give him space and time, he’ll talk to us when he’s ready”, I reassured her holding her hands but deep down inside I was very upset. I’ve never seen Henry so devastated.

I was sure that it had something to do with his mate.

Like I was guessing, I heard desperate knocks on the Pack House’s door.

“Come in” I said and a very injured Lazarus made his way in.

“Alpha, forgive me, Sir, but we need to talk, please” he said, he had a bashful swollen face and he was avoiding eye contact but not in a way to prevent Shadow from taking it as a challenge, but like he was in disgrace.

“Let’s go to my Office”, I told him, holding my mate’s hand to come with me, she will be the Luna. We’ll do the mating and Luna ceremony as soon as Alice and Liam leave their nest, so Susan will always have to remain beside me dealing with everything that concerns our Pack.

I sat on my chair and I held my mate in my lap.

“What happened?” I asked him.

“Sir, Henry banned me from this Pack, please, he can’t do that, I want to report him for trying to take the Alpha’s position” Lazarus said and Susan stood up in a jolt.

“What? Hold on, what were you doing that made Henry banish you?” she asked and it filled my heart with proud of my Luna taking care of the Pack’s matter.

“Don’t you choke over the words, Lazarus, what happened? Did you kill any of the warriors that you train?” Susan asked knowing the answer, she wanted to pressure him to spit it out.

“No Luna, I’ve been skipping the training recently” he said and I’m the one who stood up now.

“What? Why?” I growled as I asked him making him quiver over my reaction.

“Because I was with Stacy, she seduced me, Alpha, I’m sorry, it didn’t mean anything, Henry went to my house and he caught us in action, they rejected each other and…” he tried to said but I slammed my hand on my table almost tearing it apart, that’s why Henry was so devastated and hurt, f**k.

“Yeah, right, she seduced him” Shadow said laughing.

“You left your duties to f**k a mated she-wolf, both of you are garbage and you know where we throw trashes like you and this w***e” I yelled and he was quivering nonstop.

“Beta Henry is responsible for the Pack while the Alpha is busy or away, don’t you know that, Lazarus? We trust Henry with our lives and if he banished you, I honestly don’t know why you thought that coming over here would change anything. “Do you want him to leave our Pack? Why?” I asked her and she frowned.

“No, I want him to stay here, as an Alpha, in the future” she said running her hands over my chest.

It’s been 5 days ever since Alice gave birth and I was helping them. I was so happy to be useful. I made sure to always bring them a tray of food in every lunch time, I was still so grateful for Alice, what she did to me, what she’s been through to help me and she acted like it was no big deal, Liam couldn’t have found a better mate and we couldn’t have a better Queen than her.

“It’s about time to talk to our mate now, huh? I miss Prospero and Falkor, Kat, please” Zafira said in my mind.

I didn’t want to let it linger but I was hurt, it’s been too many years Prospero wasn’t treating me as his mate and I missed that, I didn’t want no apologize, I wanted him loving me completely and I wanted him to show the love he had for me in any way he could.

I was in the kitchen and I could smell his scent.

I was making my way out but he stopped me.

“Kat, please, just talk to me, I already said how sorry I am” Prospero told me and my heart clenched.

“Apologizing will not solve the problem, it was not like you accidentally stepped in my foot, Prospero, you left me when I needed you the most, you refused to listen to me and you took me for granted, every time I wanted to be close to you, you just pushed me away and now what are you begging for?” I said and he looked down.

I was about to leave but he held my wrist and pushed me against the wall, his face a few inches apart from mine, I could feel his warm breath in my face and I couldn’t believe it but what he just did to me made me feel something on my core that I thought I would never feel again, that was unexpected and bold, nothing at all like the mate I used to know.
