33. The Beta's Mate

Randall POV:

I took the day off to pleasure my mate the whole day yesterday, Henry was doing a great job, I trust him with my life dealing with the Pack.

I also received a call from King Conri and he wanted to see me, he’ll be coming at the Pack in a week.

I woke up and kiss my mate’s cheek, she was sleeping like an angel, she was naked and sweet.

I carefully left the bed and made my way to the bathroom, I took a quick shower and I got dressed properly, Susan was still sleeping, I made sure to make her ran out of energy yesterday.

I wanted to talk to Henry, I wanted to meet his mate.

I’ve went to the kitchen.

“Good morning, Alpha. The breakfast is served” an Omega said looking down.

“All right, thank you” I said startling her, Susan was really changing me for the better, the Omegas in this Pack House were all afraid of me and now they are greeting me and I was thanking them.

I chuckled at this thought and ate my breakfast.

“Henry, where are you?” I mind-linked him.

“It’s 6am, I’m at my house” he replied chuckling.

“I wanted to talk to you, is your mate there?” I asked.

“No, it’s not, you can come over my house” he said with a gloomy voice, different from the last ones.

I left the Pack House and drove until Henry’s house, it wasn’t too far and Henry liked his privacy so he didn’t want to live on the Pack House and sleep on the Beta’s room.

I knocked on his door.

“Come in” he said and I did as I told.

Henry’s house was fancy, also very tidy and clean.

“Wow, did you ask the Omegas to clean you house recently?” I asked him and he laughed.

“What? Do I look that miserable to do something by myself?” he said still smiling and I smiled back.

“All right, now, let’s cut the bullshit, I want to know what’s going on between you and your mate” I said straight forward and he frowned.

“How did you know there was something bothering me about it?” Henry asked me in disbelief.

“Do you actually think there was something I wouldn’t notice on my best friend?” I asked him and he looked down.

“I’m having a really, really hard time with her, she was nothing like I expected and I don’t want to reject her because you know how I treasure the mate’s bond but I really think that the Goddess got me wrong in this one, Randall” he said.

“Ok, what’s wrong?”

“Well, she’s been lying to me, avoiding me, she’s been seeing men, I don’t even know if she sleeps with them, we haven’t mated yet, how could I knowing all this s**t?” Henry said running his finger through his hair, I froze.

“Are you sure, Henry?” I asked him and he nodded.

Henry POV:

“Are you sure, Henry?” Randall asked me, I just nodded.

I’ve met Stacy on the Red Moon Pack and the wolves there warned me that she was a w***e, I almost killed them, I felt protective over Stacy and I asked her to come live in the Black Moon Pack, she accepted the same time I invited her.

I helped her to pack her stuff and she moved in but she said she didn’t want to live with me because it was too soon, I let her live on my parent’s house and I found it weird that every time I tried to contact her, she wasn’t there.

“Yes, I can barely contact her, one night I decided to guard the house and I saw she leaving the house, I know it was wrong but I followed her until she entered a club, I stayed out waiting patiently until she left with two wolves, they parted ways to my utterly relief but when she was about to enter the house, I approached her and she startled and I asked her where she was and she said she took her wolf for a run, she still kissed me and asked me to stay the night with her but she already smelled like s*x, Randall” I told him and I saw his eyes getting red, he was enraged.

“f**k Henry, we need to get to the bottom of this” he said and I looked down.

“I know, I’m just afraid of what I’m going to find out, I was still up to fight for her but she’s been avoiding me, wasn’t she supposed to feel the pull or something?” I asked Randall.

“Yes, she feels but Henry, let me say something to you, the bond will only work and be worthy if both of you gives all of yourselves into it, you can’t be a giver while she’s a taker, you know?” he said to me and I nodded.

"That's what I've been telling you, we should reject her, it's not like we're completely insane about that she-wolf" Chaos said.

"We've always waited for our mate and now you're thinking about rejecting her? What's with you, Chaos?" I asked my wolf.

“I know, I used to treasure the mate bond, now I don’t even know what to think about it, it was something I’ve always wished for in my life, that was one of the things I was craving for to give my life a deeper meaning, what would be left for me without it?” I asked him, I was truly hurt, seeing my own mate avoiding me was hurting me like hell.

I still felt draw into her, stupid bond, I couldn’t sleep properly anymore, I was a mess inside, my wolf Chaos was as lost as I was.

“Sorry man, I’m like you, I always treasured the bond too, I just don’t know what to think about it right now but we did the right thing telling Randall, now you and I shall investigate it” Chaos said to me and I thought about it, I told Randall what was going on but I didn’t want him to get involved, that was something we had to do by our own.

“I’ll go meet her tonight, I won’t even let her know about it or else I’m sure she would make up some excuse” I said and Randall put his hand on my shoulder in reassurance.

“You do that and let me know about it, I care about you, you’re my Beta and there’s one more thing, Henry” Randall said and I stared at him waiting for what he had to say.

“Alice is fine and the babies are ok, they’ll be visiting you soon and King Conri is coming in a week, he wants to talk to me” he said and I relaxed, Alice was also like a daughter to me and I was happy she was ok and so her babies, when Kathlyn teleported here, we all got worried and King Conri is really improvising a lot and our realm is getting even better.

“That’s good to know, Randall, thanks” I told him.

“Henry, I mean it, tell me if you need something” he said and I nodded at him.

He left and I was looking forward to meet Stacy and get to know what was going on, I was sure we could figure things out, I was willing to do whatever it takes to be with my mate.

I made my way to the training field, I’ve been doing it a lot recently so my frustration could go away, I just wish Randall was here, I never could beat him before but I got stronger and I was sure we could fight as an equal now.

I took my shirt off and there was some wolves training there, of course, it was still early in the morning.

“Hey, how about a spar?” I asked them and they smiled at me in awe.

“Beta Henry, of course, it would be an honor, Sir” they said and I tapped their back greeting them.

“I want to go first” a wolf said but he got cut out.

“No, I will”

“Hey, I was here first, both of you will have to wait for your turn”

They were arguing and I just chuckled.

“Hey, how about that, all of you against me? It will solve the problem” I said and they all stood up, there was about 5 wolves up.

“Now, that’s more like it” Chaos said in my mind.

“Feeling lucky today, Beta Henry” a wolf teased me and I smiled at him.

“I always am” I replied chuckling and he tried to punch me but I easily dodged.

Punches, kicks, more punches and kicks and it was so messed up and I easily dodged every attack.

“Hold on! What the hell are you doing?” I asked them.

“We’re trying to attack you” they said.

“Is there somebody training you?”

“No, Sir, the trainer isn’t coming recently” they replied and I frowned.

“Why?”

“We don’t know, he just said that he’s been busy”

Ok, that was not normal at all, I will have to go to his house to know what’s going on and why he’s not attending to his duties.

“I have the feeling we have to go as soon as you beat them up, hurry up” Chaos said.

“I’ll talk to him right away, guys, but before” I said as I punch a wolf “when you’re among a war or a long battle” I punched another “always look for your opponent’s weakness point and use it in your advantage, you can take your time to watch and studying his fighting skills” then another two at the same time “and after you found your enemy’s weakness, you must attack with all the strength you have right at that point” and the last one, I stared at them all laying in pain on the ground “do not ever let go of a opportunity to knock off your opponent” I finished my statement making Chaos howling in victory in my mind.

“All right, Sir” they all said in pain.

“Sorry, I didn’t attack you with much strength, you’ll be fine in an hour or so” I told them and I saw their faces, they were happy.

What the hell is happening with Lazarus? Why isn’t he training the warriors?

I was about to mind-link Randall but I’ll just let him enjoy his time with Susan, I can solve this matter.

I reached his house and I was so enraged that I made my way in.

“Oh, you like to suck my d**k, you w***e? Want me to f**k you again?” I heard a man groaning and a woman moaning and I rolled my eyes.

He can’t possibly be serious, skip the training to be having s*x at this early in the morning. That’s exactly the kind of wolf we don’t need in our pack, skip his duties to be with a woman, couldn’t he wait until he was free?

I was enraged and he definitely would be punished.

I made my way up the staircase and I slammed open his bedroom’s door and I almost fainted when I saw Stacy sucking his d**k like never wanting to let go, she didn’t even bother to look at the door and kept sucking him hard as he was groaning pulling her hair, I couldn’t hold back a loud growl, Chaos was in the surface with me.

He looked at me startled and then she did the same and she stood up in a jolt.

“Henry” she whispered looking down.

“Seriously, Stacy? Is that why you accepted moving in this pack?” I was so enraged that I was almost using my power but I didn’t want to ruin the Pack.

I stood next to Lazarus and punched his face which made him fall on his butt and spit some blood.

“No, stop it, Henry, what the f**k are you doing?” she said trying to hold me still but I just lifted her and threw her on bed, I unbuckled my belt and I hovered over her.

“What the hell are you doing? Lazarus is hurt, go help him” she said and it enraged me even more.

“The wolves warned me that you were the pack w***e, they were right, let’s see if you can handle my huge d**k then” I said enraged, deep down inside I didn’t want to do it.

The truth was that I only had s*x a few times in my life and I regret it, I wanted to save myself for my mate and I just gave in by impulse at those times and turned out my mate was nothing but a slut.

She gave me a mischievously smile, she was indeed a w***e, I was her mate and she didn’t even care about it, all she wanted was to have a d**k inside her, I snapped back to reality and left the bed.

I straightened up and buckled my belt again.

“You know what? You’re not worth it” I said as the rage was leaving my body and it was being replaced by pain.

She stood up enraged.

“Why did I have a useless mate like you? Seriously, Henry? Do you think I would wait forever until you decide to mate me?” she asked me and I frowned.

“It's been only a few days, so, that’s what this is all about? You were sleeping around with every wolf because we didn’t mate as soon as we met? I wanted it to be special for us but you’re not worth it after all” I said.

“Oh, don’t take it too personal, Henry, I slept around even before I met you” She yelled at me “and one more thing, I’m rejecting you” she said threatening me and I felt my heart clench but it was for the best.

“Do it because I can’t stand seeing you in front of me anymore” I yelled at her back.

“Don’t threat me, you know I can do it, you’re the one who treasures this stupid bond, I never wanted it, I wanted to be free and not being a slave of a useless bond” she said.

“Fine, I’ll do it…I, Beta Henry Arcane from the…” I was about to say but she cut me.

“Don’t you dare, you i***t, I’m the one who’s going to reject you, you’ll crawl for me to get back to you and I’ll step on you like you’re nothing and use you as my s*x toy… I, Stacy Shepherd, hereby solemnly reject you, Beta Henry Arcane from the Black Moon Pack, as my mate” she said and it hurt me more than I’d like to admit it.

“I, Beta Henry Arcane from the Black Moon Pack, hereby accept your rejection” I said and her eyes opened wide, did she actually think I wouldn’t accept it?

I punched Lazarus one more time.

“Both of you are banished from the Black Moon Pack, leave right now if you don’t want to face greater punishment” I said without looking back and left the house, I went to the Pack House, Randall and Susan were there and they were saying something but I didn’t even hear it.

I didn’t want to be alone right now but still, I did.

I made my way to the Beta’s room and threw myself into the bed, my mind was spinning and my heart was hurting so bad.

“I’m so sorry, maybe it’s for the best, I’m sure we’ll find our second chance mate in the future” Chaos said, he didn’t even whined when she said the words and I accepted.

“Chaos, I kind of don’t want to hear about the mate bond anymore, please” I told him back, I was still hurt.

“All right and I didn’t whined because I have to be strong for both of us, I mean it, it’s for the best, Henry, we deserve so much more than that” he said the last part very bitterly, Chaos was great, he was strong and he was always there for me, I wish I could be more like him.

I started to sob as the tears were falling from my eyes nonstop, that was not what I had planned, not the bond I’ve always dreamed about.

I might spend the rest of my life by my own but at least I had the pack and I had good friends beside me.

I let the pain taking over my whole being, I knew that it would go away someday but the scars would linger forever and I knew deep down inside that I would never see the mate bond with glistening eyes like I did before Stacy.

“Don’t say that, we’re just hurt right now, we have a pack to look for” Chaos said, he was right.

My mind was thinking nonstop about the pack and I ended up falling asleep.
