19. The Oath

Alice POV:

I can’t believe he wanted to leave me behind. I know I can do this and his lack of trust in me was pissing me off, badly.

Especially after what happened to Conri, I was so enraged that I punched his chest, not as hard as I thought but still…

“How dare you, Liam? Do you really think I can’t make it? Do you really think I would simply accept to be left behind in this?” I asked him.

I didn’t want to throw in his face that he didn’t even want to be part of it in the first place. I’m not this kind of woman, I was actually glad about it, but he’s really pissing me off. Why can’t he feel the same way about me?

“Please, princess, calm down. You saw what happened to Conri, I just want you to be safe” he tried to reason.

“So what? You think I can be locked up inside a cozy house waiting for all my problems to be solved by you and others? I can’t believe you think so little of me”. I never thought I could be so enraged by this situation. Maybe it was the hormones, the pregnancy.

I don’t know, but I felt so bad like I wasn’t strong enough, like I wasn’t good enough and I hated to feel this way, especially after Conri’s situation.

“Don’t be so mad at my dragon, Alice, Liam and Alec love us and our pups”. Hope said in my mind. Even Hope was against me?

Even when I was locked up inside the pack house, I made my way out hidden and I trained every single day because I wanted to be something, I wanted to do something important, I wanted to be important to someone and make a difference somehow.

Life couldn’t be this, it couldn’t be this meaningless. I refused to believe it.

“I don’t think little of you. Don’t you ever say that again, I just can’t let anything bad happen to you, you’re my mate and I have to protect you” he tried again.

“You know what, Liam, this is real life, I’m real, the dangers and threats are real, Conri and what happened to him was real and you can’t keep me safe forever. You have to understand that I can protect myself too and I can get my way out of any kind of situation, even if I could not, I would never give up on fighting for my life. I feel the same way about you. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you and I want to protect you too. I just can’t understand why you’re blocking me like that, you should be supporting me instead and be by my side. Nothing good will ever come when we’re apart from each other”, I told him, and he looked down.

“My love, you’re getting it all wrong, I love you and I care for you and our babies. I know how strong you are, you’re brave, good and care for others. You already almost beat the s**t out of me, remember?” he said, coming closer, slowly, until his hand cupped my face. “I would never think little of you or beg you to be anything less than you deserve, you’re my Queen. I just want you to be away from any distress. It’s not good for you and our babies, we’re having twins, Alice. Don’t forget about it, we can’t put them in danger like that” he said, and I’m the one who looked down now.

He was right at this point.

I have to protect them now, they’re my priority and I can’t keep doing anything reckless anymore.

But I have to make it up to King Conri as well. I’ll help however I can.

“I’ll join Philip, we have to act together” Werloth said, and turned to King Atlantes.

“Atlantes, I’ll let you know if we find something”.

“Be prepared for anything, Werloth, maybe we might end up needing King Lucius' help. I really hope not, but you get what I mean…” King Atlas said, and I got confused. I wondered if it was because he had Patsy with him?

Werloth flashed away and Atlantes approached my dad.

“Randall, I asked some servants to have a room prepared for you with some clothes. You should take a bath to relax. I’ll stay here looking after Conri, don’t worry” he said, and my dad glanced at him like he just snapped out of his thoughts.

He had a tense face and stood up, he nodded at Atlas and made his way out quickly of the healing room. My heart clenched, it was a sad day for all of us.

“I did the same for all of you. Please, have some rest, I’ll stay here”, Atlas said to Dr Susan, Liam and I.

“Thank you for your hospitality Your Highness, I’ll just have a quick shower and I’ll be right back. I have to look after my King”. Dr Susan said, she’s a real loyal she-wolf.

“I guess we’ll do the same. We'd rather stay here watching out for Conri, we can talk and plan things meanwhile. But on second thoughts, I don’t think we should act before Conri is completely healed”, Liam said, and I nodded.

“Fine, Elliot is guarding the Royal Pack with Alpha Stephen, Alpha Conan and Henry, he’ll make his way back as soon as King Conri wakes up and feels better. I guess we all should focus on Conri’s recovery now before we get back to the heavy stuff”, Atlantes said.

‘King Conri, please, you need to heal completely, not only physically but also mentally, you’ve been through hell’, I thought to myself.

“He will and we’ll protect our King from now on” Hope said in reassurance to me.

Liam took my hands in his and we made our way out.

Lucius POV:

“Can you believe that they could save King Conri from the Sixforce? How could they?” Amber, my second in command, said and I rolled my eyes.

“Amber, I really don’t give a f**k about it right now”, I told her while checking on some papers on my desk.

I didn’t even know he was missing and I couldn’t care less and she approached me with her hands massaging my tense and hard shoulders.

“I’m sorry to bother you, King Lucius, maybe you need some relaxing time?” she said, trying to sound seductive.

After so many decades and she still didn’t learn that it wouldn’t ever work with me, when I needed my release, I just f**k her and that’s it. I hate the teasing and foreplay stuff, but I wouldn’t send her away now.

“Maybe it’s about time to pay our hostage a visit” I said, grinning.

I made my way to the dungeon alone and saw a very annoying witch with her eyes locked on me.

“Oh Your Highness, what an honor. You shouldn’t keep me here. We have so much in common, we could help each other, I have so many tricks on my sleeve. You're much stronger than Demetrius, you should stay in your father’s place” she said, and I got enraged by her last words. My hand was already starting to spread some fire sparks.

“Why do you think I want to replace him? I will never bow before no one, especially to the man that cursed me”, I told her calmly and expressionless.

She frowned, of course she didn’t know what I was talking about, but she soon smiled at me.

“I see, you’re independent. That’s very good, my daughter could learn a thing or two with you. Unbelievably, she'd rather stay with the royals than with her own mother” she said, and I ironically looked at her.

Was she really thinking that anyone would ever rather stay with her? She’s a despicable creature that looked for me to try to get rid of her baby when she was pregnant.

Not even here, could we accept such a thing. But I was considering helping her. I told her that I could do it, but only if she accepted to sacrifice herself for it, I would gladly blast both her and her child away.

Now she wants her daughter’s affection? That was such an amusement to see, I was almost grinning.

“I see, well, actually I want to reach my father and you will tell me where he is” I told her dryly.

She grinned.

“I’ll help you if you help me to kidnap my daughter. We need her to fill the Sixforce group, she has dark magic running through her veins, we already have a dark witch, dark vampire, dark elf, dark lycan, the dark prince, and now we need a dark hybrid to fulfill our legacy and we’ll be invincible” she said and I could really use some information and use it to my benefit.

I knew exactly what to do. She had no idea about my loyalty, not even I do, but it was definitely not in a group that could be a threat if they got stronger than me.

I could use both sides to my own well-being.

“And who are this elf and wolf? Unbelievable how far you and my father could go by working with a mutt”, I said in disgust.

“It’s an elder elf that helped me to block Alice’s power when she was little and the mutt you're referring to is the hot lycan that took the King’s place for 2 decades. I bet you didn’t know that, did you? Now, can you guess who? I’ll give you 3 seconds” she said and I just rolled my eyes.

So a usurper was taking King Conri’s throne. I have never grown fond of him, but I never had anything against him either.

“1” she finally said, and I was still expressionless.

“Oh, you’re not fun like your daddy, maybe I shouldn’t help you” she said, threatening me.

“You don’t have any option left. It’s either this or you'll know what kind of a monster I am. Besides, I don’t care about any of your or their intrigues, I have my own problems to solve and a Realm to rule, so you’re nothing but a bug that I’m willingly letting live, but don’t you keep buzzing too much or else, I’ll smash you away…better saying, blast you away” I said, calmly, looking coldly into her eyes so she could see I meant every f*****g word and she gulped hard, good, I love it when I fright everyone.

“Fine, it’s King Conri’s bastard younger brother, but the Alphas are so dumb that they didn’t even notice all this long and everyone thought how good of a mate was the past King of the Wolves Realm” she said and laughed out loud and I rolled my eyes again, she’s pissing me off with her scandals.

“Where did you keep him?" I asked her.

“In a dungeon we found on the multiverse, it was so fun to torture him, but your father was the one who did it the most. He always had all the fun for himself”. She said, and I could feel some burning sensation floating through my veins, some memories started to flash in my mind from my childhood.

Everyone I kept in my dungeon or the ones I tortured, tried to attack or either tried to have me killed or someone from my realm hurt somehow and I knew exactly the kind of monster my father was. I tried to cool down.

Furthermore, he will get what he deserves soon and I’ll be the one doing it.

I knew it, my visions never failed me. It was time for it. I’ve waited for this moment all these centuries.

“What about my father? Where can I find him?” I asked.

“You can’t, you can only find him if he wants to be found. The dark prince gave him some teleport skills that can’t be tracked and he could be anywhere in the Earth dimensions or even around the multiverse”, she said, and I got frustrated.

“So you’re not useful to me anymore, I’ll find my way to find him. Good-bye!” I said and I directed my hand to where she was standing.

“Please, no, wait…I can help you, I can use myself as a bait so you can catch him up” she yelled desperately.

“No need, thank you” I grinned and my hands were spreading out fire sparks.

“Please King Lucius, I’ll tell you where we’re located, we can take a blood oath” she yelled, sobbing.

I frowned and stopped.

Actually, that was a good idea. She’ll work for me and I’ll make herself very useful before I get rid of her.

She can’t be trusted, so I’ll kill her some other time, but now I don’t need her loyalty, I just need to use her to reach my father and the idea of taking a blood oath also opened up new possibilities for me.

I could force my mate to live with me in my castle after she turns to the mating age. That way, not even her parents could stand against it.

I grinned.

“I see you’re not a useless, pathetic witch like I thought you were. Tell me more about the blood oath. Are there any limits?” I was curious.

I had never made an agreement before. Things have always been my way, but if I had to deal with the other Royals, I would have to find a way to make sure it would benefit me. They were Royals and I wouldn't hurt anyone who was in the same position as I do.

It doesn't matter how much I disliked them.

“Of course not, Your Highness, you can even summon the Goddess' punishment for those who don’t fulfill exactly what had been sworn. All you need is a Witch or Wizard as a witness, but ever since I'm already a witch, it won't be necessary”, she grinned, and so did I.

“Fine, I’ll let you live for a little while longer” I told her, dryly.

“You won’t regret it, Your Highness, I’m at your service now”. She bowed down, but obviously I wouldn’t fall for that.

This witch is the kind of being that will stab you in the back at the first opportunity. I won’t take any chances.

I opened the door and made my way inside next to her. She was quivering and her heart beat was racing, she was so scared because she knew that one faint movement, I could blast the whole place just by a simple thought and my huge form was also very intimidating.

“Let’s make the blood oath now” I ordered, and she gulped hard.

“No…now Yo…your high…ness?” she asked.

“Right now” I commanded, and she had no option but to nod.

I grabbed a dagger and she told me every little thing we needed to do and what we should say.

Afterwards, everything was settled. She started.

The Oath

“I, Patsy Belrose, solemnly oath to serve and protect King Lucius Vernom and his interests, I’ll help him reach his father, the past King Demetrius Vernom from the Vampire's Realm in all the ways there is to be done.

Under penalty of suffering in pain until my last breath, I, Patsy Belrose, solemnly and rightly commit my everlasting word to this Oath.” She said and I cut her palm.

“Let no devil or mischievous spirit misunderstand me, my desire being fulfilled will mean Patsy Shawcross’s freedom from the oath”, I said and cut my palm and she shook our hands.

Some sparkling lights were left inside our bleeding hands and spun around our hands to our arms and it grew all over around us and I felt a warm sensation filling me.

I knew that the Oath was set.

“You will reach your father, King Lucius”, Patsy reassured me.

“I know I will, with or without you, I would make sure of it, but I will admit that it will be easier this way. Now, you go back to whatever you were doing and as soon as you contact him, block his powers and flash him here, you better do it, Patsy, or else…”

“Don’t worry, I will visit you regularly” she cut me, bowing down.

She flashed and I wouldn’t wait for her to contact me, I would keep on searching for him.

Meanwhile, I should just pay King Atlantes a visit.

We have a lot to talk about and he will need my help in one way or another. I can use it to my benefit.

I will not meddle in their problems, I’ll just sit on my chair and watch the show goes on.

I made my way back to my office and I was content.

Amber was there waiting for me. I flashed us to one of the guest rooms from my castle.

“Strip”, I ordered her and she smiled and did as I ordered.

I sat on the edge of the bed and she sucked my d**k for a while, then she straddled my lap and started to kiss my neck and jump on my d**k. She cried out when I held her still and started to buck my hips against her.

I was annoyed with the sounds she was making but I didn’t say a word.

When I released, I shoved her away from me and flashed to my room to have a relaxing bath before I pay the Wizard King a company.

Everything around me was doing pretty well for my own benefit. I felt like I was in control of the situation and I could have anyone submit to me.
