"Suddenly, icy fingers grabbed my arm as I inched through the darkness."
I don't know how I talked myself into this. I should have listened to the rational part of my brain. But nooo, I just had to let boredom and demons take over. I could have been in my bed nestled in my warm bed with my pets, but here I am. In the middle of Italy, at 3 in the morning, mind you. What might make matters worse is I am only wearing satin night shorts, a crop top, and lace crochet flats.
It most definitely did not get cold at night in Italy during the summer, so that's why I wasn't wearing a coat. This wasn't bad for there the streets still had people lingering about. It was bad because I could smell the rain and I was too far away from my apartment to get there without being soaked head to toe. I sighed and decided to turn around and test my luck.
Of course with my luck, I was 2 minutes in when it started pouring. I sighed and ran to a brightly lit alleyway to get protection. I got the chills, but not because it was raining. I looked around the alleyway but didn't see anything, so I blew it off. Suddenly, icy fingers grabbed my arm as I inched through the darkness.
