Pain, so much pain!
The heartbreaking agony pervades Aaron's entire body.
This is not just a feeling; it's a reality that's happening to him.
At this moment, he's being greedily torn apart by the friends and neighbors he once trusted and helped.
In this post-apocalyptic world of scarce resources, they even disregarded the help Aaron once gave them and raised their knives against him.
As he lay on the brink of death, he vaguely saw his beloved goddess, Blanche, standing at the back of the crowd. With a pitiful look, she shouted loudly, "It was me who let him open the door! You have to leave me a piece of spare rib to make soup!"
It was this woman who deceived Aaron into opening the door, ultimately leading to his demise.
Aaron looked at her with eyes full of hatred and regret.
He could only blame himself for being too foolish and kind, falling victim to others' hunger in this post-apocalyptic world.
He wished so much that everything could start over.
By then, he would no longer be lenient towards anyone and would only live for himself.
Before losing consciousness, Aaron's vision went dark.
However, in the next moment, Aaron suddenly opened his eyes and sat up from the sofa.
The hellish scene he had just experienced, the terrifying pain, was still fresh in his mind.
Aaron panted heavily, and soon his entire body was covered in sweat.
"What's going on? Didn't those beastly neighbors kill me?"
After regaining his composure,Aaron began to observe his surroundings.
The place was not unfamiliar to him, it was his own house.
The comfortable temperature in the air, however, left him feeling extremely surprised.
It was because in December of the year 2050 in the Western Calendar, Blue Star, under the influence of a supernova explosion fifty million light-years away, had ushered in a global Cold Age Storm.
Global temperatures plummeted, and the daily temperature in Aaron's hometown of the City dropped to minus sixty or seventy degrees. The blizzard lasted for a month, burying the entire city.
It was said that in the northern part of Blue Star, the temperature had reached a terrifying minus one hundred degrees, and the land was buried under ice and snow.
Various creatures went extinct on a large scale, and even humans lost more than 95% of their population in this disaster.
Aaron stood up and took a bottle of water from the refrigerator, drinking most of it in one gulp.
Although the temperature of the refrigerated water was very low, it was like nectar to him now.
During the post-apocalypse, the only way for people to obtain water was to go out in extreme temperatures of minus sixty or seventy degrees and dig snow to melt into water.
This assignment is so demanding that it could easily leave one frozen to death.
After finishing his drink, Aaron opened his phone and took a look.
The screen displayed the date, "November 12th."
Exactly one month remained before the apocalypse would descend upon us.
"It seems I've been reborn," Aaron breathed deeply, quickly grasping what had happened.
The experiences of that month couldn't have been a dream, especially the agony of being torn apart. It was all too real.
Aaron lifted his head, feeling immense relief after narrowly escaping death.
At the same time, a fierce gleam flashed in his eyes.
He remembered clearly those who had killed him in the past.
In this life, he would make sure to live well and would never show kindness to those beasts again.
However, Aaron's thoughts quickly turned to preparing for the approaching apocalypse.
He had lost his parents early on in life, inheriting a 120-square-meter apartment in LA. With over 300,000 US dollars in savings, he had led a comfortable life under normal circumstances. However, with the approaching apocalypse, resources worldwide would become severely scarce. The money he had in hand would not last him for long. After all, surviving alone required a vast amount of supplies. Not only did Aaron want to survive, but he also aimed for a certain quality of life. Both food and entertainment had to be taken into account, otherwise, his mental state would surely collapse over time. Suddenly, a streak of white light appeared before Aaron's eyes.
Thinking it was a hallucination, he reached out to rub his eyes.
Just then, a strange thought suddenly emerged in his mind.
It seemed as if the streak of white light was a part of him, and information about it appeared in his mind.
With a thought, Aaron's consciousness instantly entered the white light.
Upon entering, he found himself in an immense, vast space filled with nothing but whiteness.
He couldn't fathom the size of this space, as it was vast and empty.
"This is... an alternate space?"
"It seems that after my rebirth, I've gained some special abilities."
A sense of joy surged in Aaron's heart.
It appeared that the exposure to gamma rays had granted him unique powers.
With this vast space, storing supplies for the approaching apocalypse would be much easier.
Eager to understand the limitations of this space, Aaron wondered how much it could hold and if there were any restrictions on the objects he could store within.
His consciousness returned to his room, and he began experimenting by trying to place various items from his home into the space.
Starting with small items like teacups and basins, he found that they easily fit inside.
Encouraged, Aaron proceeded to attempt storing larger household appliances.
Color TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, computers, air conditioners, and vacuums - the white space accepted them all without hesitation, swallowing them up.
With just a thought, Aaron could retrieve items from the space, and he was thrilled.
"With this vast space, I can store an immense amount of resources!"
He licked his lips, a bold plan forming in his mind.
Aaron worked as a supervisor in the warehouse of the Walmart supermarket in the The southern part of LA region.
As the world's largest supermarket, Walmart had a vast array of goods available.
The US has three massive warehouses located in the east, west, and south. Each of these warehouses is stocked with supplies that can support the needs of millions of people in multiple cities for a week.
Imagine if Aaron could empty one of these warehouses and transfer all its contents into his alternate space. He would have an abundance of resources that he wouldn't be able to use up in a lifetime, let alone ten! Crucially, the Walmart warehouses are devoid of low-quality goods. Whether it's food, household items, or luxury goods, they are all from top brands, ensuring the utmost quality.
If Aaron could empty even one of these warehouses, he would be able to live a life of luxury, surpassing even the gods, regardless of whether it's the apocalypse or any other calamity. As the supervisor of the warehouse, Aaron is intimately familiar with every shelf, surveillance equipment, and personnel schedule. Emptying the warehouse would not be a difficult task for him. With this decision firmly in mind, Aaron felt a sense of relief wash over him.
"Gurgle~" Just then, Aaron's stomach let out a growl of protest. He rubbed his stomach and glanced at the takeout food on the table. Without hesitation, he picked up the takeout and threw it straight into the trash can.
"There's only a month left before the apocalypse. I need to enjoy all the good food while I can, or I might not have the chance later." Why keep money? After the world ends, money will become worthless paper. It's better to spend it all now and not waste it. With a swagger, Aaron turned and prepared to head out to a Michelin three-star restaurant for a good meal.
