The Human's Fate in the Alpha's Hand

"Get up from there! You have a lot of things to do! Don’t be lazy!" I quickly opened my eyes when I heard Laura, my stepmother, shouting. “Aren’t you getting up yet? Or do you want me to douse you with cold water in your body?” she asked threateningly before leaving my room. I immediately got up from my bed. I didn’t even have time to fix myself because I knew she would make her threat to pour cold water on me. I went straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. When I finished cooking, I saw Laura with Carson and Amara, my step-siblings, seated at the dining table, waiting for their breakfast. I sighed before placing the food on the table. They started eating right away while I stood on the side, waiting to see if they would order me to do something else. While they were earing, I noticed Carson was looking at me secretly. I quickly averted my eye on him. I don't want to see his eyes while gazing at me, because I know, he was thinking something not good. "What is this?" Amara questioned while looking something in her hand. I looked at Amara, and I saw what she was holding, a strand of hair! Laura stoop up from her seat. She approached me and slapped hardly. I felt dizzy because of thelat slap. "Aside of being a useless in this house, you did not do your work properly!" she said while looking at me with a deadly eyes. I gulped while holding my cheek. "Throw away everything you cooked and cook again! And because of your stupidity, you won't eat today!" she ordered before going back on her seat. I had no choice but to follow Laura's orders. I cooked again and prepared it for them. I just couldn't swallow as I watched them eat. I was so hungry because I didn't eat last night either. Why is this happening in my life? When Daddy was alive, everything was fine. Laura was kind to me, and Amara and Carson didn't bully me. But now, it's like I'm locked up in hell! After they finished eating, I cleaned up their food and then started doing the housework. The three of them left. Laura was in charge of the business Daddy left behind, while Amara and Carson went to school. I stopped my studies because Laura didn't want me to study. I was supposed to be in my third year of college. Even if I wanted to leave this house, I couldn't because there were security guards guarding the entire house and Laura ordered me not to let me out. After I finished doing all the chores in the house, I went back to my room to rest. I had been in my room for almost an hour when I heard Carson screaming. My eyes widened because he had come home early. "Where are you, Lily!!" I heard him scream loudly. I quickly left my room to go see him. I saw him in the living room, with three men sitting on the couches. "Cook lunch! The four of us will eat here!" He ordered me which I quickly obeyed. I cooked for them. When I was done, I called them to eat. Carson's three companions were looking at me, and they had a smirk on their faces. I just bowed my head and ignored them. After they ate, Carson ordered me to prepare drinks in the garden. I took the drinks and gave them to them. Then I went back inside to fix and clean up their mess again. Almost two hours , I heard a noise coming from the garden. It was the noise of Carson and his friends. I peeked out the window and saw them busy drinking liquors. I could also see their red faces that said they were drunk. I looked at the clock, three in the afternoon. It was already late when Laura got home from business and Amara only went home when she wanted to. I decided to cook dinner so that when Laura and Amara got home, their food would be ready. While I was busy cooking, I suddenly felt a jolt in my hips. To my surprise, I almost cut my fingers. I quickly moved away from the person who held my hips and saw Carson, he was grinning and his eyes were like a tiger that looked so hungry! "What do you need?" I asked, my voice was stammering while looking at him. He grabbed my arm. I swallowed because I knew what he wanted to happen. "Don't resist anymore, Lily. You're going to like what I'm going to do to you," he whispered, his voice was seductive. "Let go of me, Carson! You're my brother!" I struggled. "I've wanted to taste you for a long time, Lily, that's why I won't let you get away from me!" he replied. He kissed me quickly. I used all my strength to push him away. He sat down on the floor. He looked at me with a angry look. I saw his annoyed face which worried me even more. I was about to run but he quickly grabbed my foot. I fell to the floor. He grabbed me and tried to tear my clothes. "Don't, Carson! I beg you, don't do what you want to happen!" I begged. I wanted to fight, but there was nothing I could do. He was stronger than me. I struggled until something fell next to me, a knife! I took the knife. I couldn't think clearly and I stabbed him in the side, which stopped him from doing what he was doing. I quickly stood up and looked at him. He was holding his side with blood flowing. My whole body was shaking. Tears were flowing and I was nervous. "You will pay for what you did, Lily!!" Carson shouted at me. A few moments later, Carson's friends arrived. They quickly helped him and ran to the hospital. While I, just stood there not knowing what to do. I know I'm in danger now because of what I did. If I don't fight back, Carson will have done what he planned to do to me. Regret? I don't regret it. He deserved what happened to him! That night, Laura came. She came to my room very angry. She approached me and grabbed my hair and dragged me out of the room. "Enough, Laura! Have mercy on me!" I begged her tearfully, while I held my hair. "You don't owe me anything, Lily! You really intend to kill Carson!!" She shouted at me. "He tried to touch me, Laura!" I argued. She looked at me evilly, "Then, you should have given what he wanted!" My eyes widened at what she said. "Now, Carson is in the hospital! You will pay for what you did!" She pulled me to the basement. She threw me and she locked the room. I quickly went to the door, "Let me out of here, Laura! I'm begging you!" I begged. I begged for almost half an hour but nothing happened. I knew Laura and her children would not take pity on me. I sat on the floor crying. How could I escape the life I have now? The basement was dark. There was no light coming from outside. I also tried to find a light switch, but I couldn't find one, so I had no choice but to sit on the floor, waiting for them to let me out. I don't know how many hours I stayed in the basement until the door opened. I quickly went over and saw Laura. "Take a shower and get dressed!" she ordered me before she left. Take a shower and get dressed? What would happen? Although I was surprised, I followed her order. After I took a shower and changed my clothes, I saw her sitting in the living room. I looked at the clock and, 2:00 in the afternoon! I've been in the basement for almost 24 hours! "Sit down!" she orders. I followed her. I didn't say anything. I wanted to ask what she was up to. Not long after, there was a knock on the door of the house. Laura opened the door and three men entered, two in suits and an old man who I think was in his 70s. "Is it him, Laura?" the old man asked Laura while looking at me. I swallowed. I felt nervous. "She's Lily, 20 years old, Don Armano," Laura replied. Don Armano grins, "In that case, we'll take her with us, Laura," Don Armano said. Will he take me with him? Where? And why? I saw Don Armano hand Laura a suitcase. When Laura opened the suitcase, my eyes widened when I saw the amount of money! "Don't count that, Laura. I added $200,000 dollars to the $500,000 that was discussed." $700,000 dollars? Laura looked at me with a smile, "Lily, he is Don Armano, your future husband!"
