Chapter 31
Rosa charged into Seetha’s cabin, looking and feeling exactly like the programmed storms that raged through the grow tank during rest weeks. Kerwin followed in her wake, more anxious than upset.
Seetha knew Les still had to be distressed by everything that had happened in the last few hours, but ze floated calmly in hir own cabin. Seetha wasn’t sure if that made her feel better or worse.
“I’m sure you have a good reason for pulling me away from my work,” Rosa said. She sat hard enough to send the chair rolling backward. “The sooner I can get back to my own lab on Porthiant where I can lock the damn door, the better.”
“If you have not yet located a sequence for the virus on Ajar 12,” Les said, “I will be able to help you with that.”
“You will…” Rosa blinked and leaned forwar
