Chapter 22 As they walked out of the long stone building that held all the diving equipment, onto a ramp that had them underwater in a few seconds, Calvin hoped Gilen was right. The heavy, dragging weight of the suit and its ballast receded with every step until he felt like he was walking normally. “Turn on your light.” Leeka sounded like he was speaking directly into Calvin’s ear. “Tap the right side of your mask, remember?” Calvin could still see the cloudy sky over his head, but two other dive lights popping on showed him how much darker the bay already was.
