In my Theatre of Story, I have elements of Story called Charactos, which are faceless creations who act out a story while depicting the Characters of a story in vivid detail.
I now deduce that the man who is carrying his own or stolen property has just lost an item from his bag. The large stone which had fallen out is of special significance, as it is a prominent feature of this story unfolding.
