Emergency meeting

2133 Words
After the test has been put to a hold by the elders, Raven’s showcase of his mana aura is the only thing they believed that made the instructor act that way. “I might go crazy if I was the one in front of that guy.” “The instructor might have accumulated tons of stress to run away like his life is on the line.” “But how can a student like that have that much mana?” “He is a monster.” The students talks about what happened at the test ground, rumors are spreading like wildfire inside the academy. Due to the instructor that created the rune formation running away after seeing runes appearing on Raven’s body he locked himself in his room not speaking nor seeing anyone from his family nor colleagues. “That’s impossible! That’s impossible! That’s impossible! That’s impossible! That’s impossible! That’s impossible! That’s impossible! That’s impossible! That’s impossible! That’s impossible! That’s impossible! That’s impossible! That’s impossible! That’s impossible! That’s impossible!” He whispered to himself as he cower in his bed and him himself under the thin protection of his blanket. Bags started appearing under his eyes filled with fear and terror. His body is still shaking even though he can no longer see Raven’s face. “I can still see his face, he’s smiling! He’s smiling! He’s smiling! He’s smiling at me!” he cried in terror as he buries his face with his hands. [The elder’s meeting.] *SLAM!* “We should put him in a prison investigate the background of that young man! He might be a spy of the other kingdoms!” Elder Yasrat said as he slam his fist on the table. The elders decided to make an emergency meeting regarding what happened earlier that day since they made a huge delay to their plans by pushing back the schedule to finish the tests. “I have already done that a few days earlier even before he entered the academy. And I have found nothing suspicious nor anything odd of some sort.” Elder Rigor said as he made a gesture to make Elder Yasrat calm down. “Hear is the report that I received from a trusted source.” He said as he put the papers on the table. “If anything, I pity that child since he experienced mistreatment since from childhood up to his adolescence just because he is a little different from other children not to mention that even adults beat him up as a child.” He added. Elder Yasrat started to calm down as Elder Nuu reaches out to read the report that Elder Rigor received. His eyes read every letter on the report without missing any information from the paper, Elder Yasrat saw Elder Nuu’s eye move along every sentence that he finishes. [It’s true, what Elder Rigor said was the truth, but I can’t say that for sure. I need to make my own investigation regarding that young man.] he told himself as he sigh in relief. “We can’t really decide anything in spur of the moment since it will only waste some of our resources if proven innocent. I believe that his sudden appearance in the academy will make a huge difference and influence the students to aim more higher. We have to look more at the positive side of the story than bust our asses off and look more at the negative side. In my perspective, he being born in the city is a blessing than the people who mistreated him thinking that he is a curse that needs to be subdued.” Elder Nuu said as he puts down the report about Raven. [So Elder Rigor had already has his doubts about that young man when the tear of the gods broke and just waited for his suspicions to be proven wrong. He really is a really kind person, while this guy on the other hand just wanted to jump into everything that might pose a threat to him in the future, a typical greedy person.] he thought as he touched his mustache. *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap! *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!* “Thank you for your insight Elder Nuu, to be honest I think so myself. I have already ordered the instructors to make sure the students keep what happened inside the academy a secret from the outside world.” Elder Rigor said as he tap the table with his fingers rapidly while waiting for the reaction of both of the Elders. “Since the other elders are not here we have to make sure to take care of this ourselves, since both of those elders already have too much on their hands, I want the both of you to cooperate with the sudden problem, is that alright?” Elder Rigor asked as he lean forward with a stern expression. [He already made a move not to disclose the information to the outside world, Elder Rigor is very calculating. Meanwhile the blockhead beside me, doesn’t even think about the benefits for the academy, all he thinks about is himself.] Elder Nuu thought as he nodded to Elder Rigor’s request. “I am more than willing to lend a hand in everything that might add as aide for our cause Elder Rigor.” Elder Nuu said in a humble tone as he bows his head. [This bastard really is kissing Elder Rigor’s ass. What a fake, wait till I achieve more than you can. After that I will finish you off you bastard.] Elder Yasrat thought as he stare at the humble Elder Nuu with his anger-filled eyes. “I am also willing to help in whatever way I can Elder Rigor.” Elder Yasrat said as he bowed to Elder Rigor as well. “Then I will have to thank both of you elders in advance for listening to my request, I expect great things from now on. Oh! And by the way Elder Yasrat, how is the experiment going? I have not heard any developments from you lately.” He added. The moment Elder Yasrat heard Elder Rigor’s question, his heart skipped a beat and he started sweating even with the cool room. [s**t! I left that case for my son to oversee and he did not told me anything about the development. Let’s just make some excuse right now and check on it later.] “It is going smoothly as planned Elder Rigor, I will update you about its completion later.” He said as sweat started to break off from his forehead. Elder Nuu stare at Elder Yasrat with a suspicious face. [That face is really suspicious, I bet his lazy and drunkard assistant didn’t give him any updates. That would explain his nervous face screaming in Elder Rigor’s surprise question.] he thought as he sigh in disappointment. “Then I will wait for the developments.” Elder Rigor said with a smile. [Meanwhile back at Raven’s homeroom.] “Mr. Oston, do you have any idea why the instructor was reduced to such state?” his instructor said with his arms crossed. Raven was sitting on the chain in front of him is his teacher standing with his arms crossed. [I didn’t do anything wrong right? I only used runes to counter his rune formation since it would cause a huge ruckus if I continued to use mana manipulation. Damn it! I thought Aranx’s training would be very fruitful but it turns out that I can’t even use my full potential with a lot of students nearby!] he thought as he smiled awkwardly. “I really don’t have any idea Sir, I was just giving it my all since everyone was on the edge because of what the demi-humans were saying.” He said with a meek voice. [That piercing gaze is still there, is he doubting my reason for releasing that small part of my mana aura?] The instructor stares intensely at Raven after hearing his reason for doing so. [This kid wouldn’t budge at all, we have already did this conversation a few number of times now but his answer is still the same. Maybe he really did release such terrorizing mana aura by chance. I have also heard of such thing happening is some cases but I didn’t even think for a second that I would get to witness something with my own eyes.] The instructor thought as he sigh in disbelief. [But still, even if it is only by chance, why is he not surprised about it himself?] “You know that your classmates are quite shocked when you released that much mana aura? Even I had a hard time breathing under that much pressure so it was a shocker for me as well.” The instructor said as he stare at the door with the heads of his students sticking out outside the door like trees outside a cave. [I didn’t know they went through that much after releasing a small part of my mana aura. Maybe I got used to working out with Aranx that I considered everyone the same as me. Now that I remember it, I really had the same reaction the first time I felt Aranx’s mana aura when I trained with him. Argh! I don’t want to remember that thing ever again. It was like standing in front of a mountain.] he thought as he smiled bitterly to himself. “I am very sorry Sir, I will not do it again.” He said meekly. [This kid.] “Please do not call me Sir, it is really putting me off.” He said as he waved his hand. “What do you think they are talking about?” “Do you think they will kick the new student out of the academy? “That would just be wasting a talent you know? He might have freaked us out earlier with his tremendous mana aura but he did not mean no harm at all right? And he will be a great sample to us humans, the demi-humans will no longer look down on use humans anymore!” a student said with a giant smile on his face while crying tears of joy. The student’s remark moved the hearts other students that they also started crying with tears of joy. “Finally! A savior to us humans in the academy has arrived!” another one cried. [What are these f*ckers saying? Just because be showed that much potential, they hailed him as a savior? A peasant like him?!] Thomas thought as he lean his back on the wall while listening to his fellow students bickering. He and his friends have no choice but to listen to his fellow classmates bickering and praises for Raven. “Wow, never in my wildest dreams that I would witness the kid that we use to bully around when we were a child to outshine us just like that.” One of his friends said while flashing a wry smile. “Hey, do you guys think that he will get back to us because of what we did to him in the past?” he added with a concerned face. His question echoed in the heads of his friends. Their hearts started to beat fast as they remembered the awful things they did to Raven that made they swallow their spit. *GULP!* “I try not to think about it but it might be possible, we did a lot of awful things to him. So if he starts retaliating against us, I think I might comply even if it is against my will.” One of them said with a concerned expression. “Oi, oi, oi. You really think he will do that kind of stuff? He might be different now but he is still Raven, the kind of weakling that we used to bully. Just because he became strong doesn’t meant that he is not afraid of us anymore.” One of them said with a conflicted expression. The others look at him with a surprised and concerned face. [Does this i***t know what he is saying?] Kate thought as she turned to him. “Do you know what you are saying right now?” one of Kate’s friend asked in concern. “I’m just saying you know. If he really hates us that much he could have taken us down a long time ago.” He defended. The group started to argue with each other’s beliefs that they are starting to catch the attention of others to listen to them. [So they did all those awful things to Raven?] Cassiopeia thought as she listen to their argument. [I know that it’s bad to eavesdrop on other people’s business but since this might be a huge factor that pushed Raven to change then it is definitely something I need to learn.] “WHAT!?” Everyone was all silent when all of the sudden a cry echoed inside the room that made them turn their heads inside their room.
